I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience warrants one…read more What should have been a straightforward purchase, exchange, and return became an unnecessarily prolonged and uncomfortable experience at this store. Despite having all receipts and returning all items, staff repeatedly insisted they could not issue the correct refund and cited "system limitations." During the process, the interaction became tense and uncomfortable, and I was treated as if I were being unreasonable for simply asking that the refund match what I had paid. I ultimately declined an incorrect partial refund and was referred to corporate customer service. Lilly Pulitzer Customer Care (not this store) was excellent. The corporate team was patient, professional, and worked to mediate the issue. Unbelievably, even with their involvement, the store remained resistant. The matter was finally resolved after Lilly Pulitzer corporate leadership intervened and contacted the local store manager,. Unfortunately, I had to return to the local Ardmore store for the store manager to process the return as she should have done in the first place. There was no acknowledgment or ownership of the error at the store level by the store manager. Customer Care did their job well. The store did not. This should never have required escalation or multiple visits.

After driving around for at least 20 minutes and looking for a parking space - finally found one!…read moreThe shop is beautiful, and the sale was really great - lots of selection and styles. With a full dressing room to try on, i realized that I needed to feed the meter outside. When I asked for 4 quarters, I was told by 4 women standing around in a nearly empty store that they weren't allowed to give out change. No kidding! I was told to go across the street to Shake Shack for change. Can you believe this? They are absolutely practicing sales prevention! If I were the manager of that store, I would have at least 4-5 rolls of quarters at all times! I left - probably would have spent a lot, as I am going on a cruise. Shame on them.

This place suited my needs, which was shopping with a very brief window on my lunch break. I can only speak to one other consignment for kids that I've been to, but the prices weren't bad at all. They were pretty comparable to the other store. Some of the designer items were understandably priced higher. The others were fine by me, especially with the sale price tacked on. I bought at least 5 or 6 items for around $13. As to the staff, I thought they were pleasant. Twice they inquired if I was looking for anything specific and they directed me to where I needed to be. They also told me about their fill-a-bag sale coming up (yes, I'll definitely be back, because I love a fill-a-bag thrift sale). I even spied some items at the counter I may come back for for myself. Overall, it was a great experience. You would be surprised how high new clothes for toddlers can run, so I only shop secondhand. In the long run, even saving a little goes a long way! Also, Narbeth is so cute! Stopped at a young entrepreneur's lemonade stand on the way back to my car.

I want this place to be great, really I do. I live a mile away and I love to support shops like…read morethis. But every time I have gone in, and twice now when I have come in to consign, I have checked the website in advance, gone in, and been told I was wrong to bring in what I have brought. Which is frustrating because I went through the trouble of bringing in things that the website says is being accepted, but I am treated like a know nothing when I walk in the door. My sense of the place is that the owner means well but is disorganized. The website is clearly out of date, and she is defensive when you explain that you were just following her published info. I want to give them another shot, but I have never been treated this way at Greene street consignment or Nesting House. I'm more inclined to support businesses that have their stuff together, and my sense is that this place ain't it.
