This place suited my needs, which was shopping with a very brief window on my lunch break. It wasn't too much to rummage through, but just enough in my toddler's size to find something for her for daycare. They were doing a 50% off sale when I visited, which was great. I can only speak to one other consignment for kids that I've been to, but the prices weren't bad at all. They were pretty comparable to the other store. Some of the designer items were understandably priced higher. The others were fine by me, especially with the sale price tacked on. I bought at least 5 or 6 items for around $13. As to the staff, I thought they were pleasant. Twice they inquired if I was looking for anything specific and they directed me to where I needed to be. They also told me about their fill-a-bag sale coming up (yes, I'll definitely be back, because I love a fill-a-bag thrift sale). I even spied some items at the counter I may come back for for myself. Overall, it was a great experience. You would be surprised how high new clothes for toddlers can run, so I only shop secondhand. In the long run, even saving a little goes a long way! I want this place to be great, really I do. I live a mile away and I love to support shops like this. But every time I have gone in, and twice now when I have come in to consign, I have checked the website in advance, gone in, and been told I was wrong to bring in what I have brought. Which is frustrating because I went through the trouble of bringing in things that the website says is being accepted, but I am treated like a know nothing when I walk in the door. My sense of the place is that the owner means well but is disorganized. The website is clearly out of date, and she is defensive when you explain that you were just following her published info. I want to give them another shot, but I have never been treated this way at Greene street consignment or Nesting House. I'm more inclined to support businesses that have their stuff together, and my sense is that this place ain't it. read more

Really unpleasant experience. The inventory and selection were subpar and the staff was very unfriendly . Do not recommend.

I worked the owner to sell a number of items on consignment. She was very open and honest throughout the process and I was very satisfied with the payout in the end. If you plan to sell items, I strongly advise calling first - they are not staffed to handle unscheduled drop-offs as they are very busy selling items during normal business hours. And they may not take everything you have, so you will want to know that before hauling your load. Lastly, Narberth is a very small town with limited parking, so it can be difficult finding parking or a place to stand while unloading - best to prepare for that. read more

It's small but full of good finds. I'd avoid consigning here (see my tip) but if you consign it does take a while for them to put your things out as they're clearly backed up with inventory in the back (may be the reason for the help wanted sign out front :-/ ) But as a buyer you can get some name brand things at reasonable prices without the attitude from the owners. Do your due diligence like any thrift shop and check before you buy anything. They've expanded to home goods. I didn't see anything particularly special on that side of the store but then again I come for kids' clothing. They accept credit cards, which is remarkable for a small business these days. read more

I shopped at this store almost weekly for about 1.5 years (2015-2016) before moving out of town and still miss it. I wish they had an online site!! I think reviews saying it is overpriced are not all correct -- yes, the prices are higher but often so is the quality of the children's clothing. It may be that some parents aren't aware of these general prices? We have Hannah Andersen grow-with-me body suits, and Ecco shoes -- both of which were either new or like-new and have lasted forever -- they were such reasonable prices at Twice as Nice (~$7 and $6). They do have some 50% off sales and those are even better times to purchase. I was so happy this thrift store was available during our first year with a baby, because we could go buy him clothes as he grew and could always find something very high quality, new or like-new and for far less than we would have purchased it new. I hope they would get an online shopping site as well -- I have even thought of calling them to just have them pick out some items and ship them to me!! I do agree, at least in part, that their baby gear is over-priced. Strollers, bouncing seats, playpens etc --these were all over the price of what we wanted to pay for a used item. For instance they had a brown bjorn bouncy chair that was in the store almost all year because it was selling for about $80(?) I think. New they are around $150, but we purchased ours on craigslist for $25. Similarly they had a fisherprice space saver high chair that was selling for about $25 and they retail about $50, but we found ours on Craigslist for $10. Craigslist deals are random and unpredictable, so those low prices are not likely to be found at a used store, but they should consider general price reduction of the baby gear. However, we usually shopped only for children's clothes and for that they are fantastic -- I haven't yet found another store that is better. They DO accept credit cards, they ask for a $10 minimum purchase because they are a local small business. read more

The lady who runs the store with long (blonde?) hair is the rudest person I have ever met. I have a lot of nice things I was even willing to donate to them but i put my flashers on in front of the store to poke my head in, car still on, asked them where i should park my car and she said you need to move your car and I said I am going to but I have stuff to drop off and three small kids in the car I want to be sure I am parking at the right spot to drop off some stuff since I have never done that before..... she said I am going to call the police if you don't move your car you are blocking the parking lot..... I was blocking 1/4 of the entrance (still room enough the get by) to the parking lot behind the store but no cars were trying to pull in... no surprise though I wouldn't want to park to go in there either. I'll never sell or buy anything from this store to support this awful business. I just don't understand the purpose of people being so rude. Good luck lady. read more

The items are nice but somehow I never come out with much. I feel that it's just a little too overpriced to consider many items"deals" or "great finds." There is an extensive children's section (lots of clothes arranged by size) and plenty of toys and baby items as well. The home items there is usually a miss for some reason. I would probably want to give it 3 stars if it weren't for the super friendly people I've seen working there. It's such a refreshing change from the sour people working at many of the other secondhand stores (I'm looking at you, Lankenau Thrift!). read more

I love this shop it has great and reasonable prices. And most of the reviews are mostly from when the new owner wasn't even there. The new owner is way better than the last and I'm friends with the owners kids. Totally recommend this Consignment Store. And don't referral it as a thrift shop! It is a children's consignment store so don't call it a thrift shop. read more

I stop in here with great frequency, as I live in Narberth. For clothes/shoes? Overpriced. With Gap, Old Navy, etc consistently holding 30-50% off sales, it's just not worth it to pay $12 for a used dress. I've had a few good finds- a $3 pair of jeans, a pair of pedipeds for ~$14.... but generally I do not find anything worthwhile on the racks. That said, I love coming here for books. Most of my daughter's bookshelf is made up of books I found here, and for 1/3 of the retail price! Much better than amazon, in this case :) read more

I stop in here occasionally and enjoy seeing what they have in stock. Some of their clothes for children are fun, and they have a good supply of clothes and bedding. They sometimes have 50% off sales, which is a good time to shop there. Other times their things are over-priced, especially their home goods and strollers, baby swings, etc. They would benefit from lowering their prices. read more

I decided to give consigning a try with Twice as Nice as we had some unexpected medical bills for my mom come up-maybe it would make money less tight around the holidays. I dropped 6 dresses off and 5 were accepted. Then one was damaged while in their possession and returned to me. I managed to repair the damage and sell elsewhere. One of the clerks informed me that after 30 days, the price of my unsold items would be reduced, but I could pick items up at that point for a $.25 fee per item. I went by two weeks early from my 60 days this past weekend as I will be out of town for a medical appointment for my mom for the date my items needed to be picked up. When I told the owner I was there for my items early, she informed me there was no way her staff would have said that. I informed her that the staff member did indeed tell me this and that I even put the 30-day date in my phone. At this point she became aggressive and yelled at me in front of her entire store of customers and told me it was fine to just un-shelve my items. One dress was hanging on a broken hanger, one dress completely missing, to which she told me they weren't responsible for missing items but that she would call me if they found it (she did look in the back and on the floor for it). I left to run errands, but realized that I left my receipt for my items in there. I went back and she told me I could have it back, but that I had no contract with them anymore. I brought up again my missing dress and that I would need proof it was mine. I also told her there was no way to speak to me like that. She yelled at me that she wasted time on my items. If she could have spoken kindly, I might have been able to explain my rationale for coming in 2 weeks before the 60 days. I am going to call it even as I have my unsold items back and she has lost one of my items. Many of my neighbors advised me against consigning here, but I would like to support local businesses. In the meantime, she has lost items of my neighbor, so this is a solid no for this unprofessional business. read more

I am a regular customer of this consignment store. Today I asked to see a few items in the locked case. I had the saleswoman hold them at the front counter for me while I looked around and went out to my car for something. When I came back, the OWNER had one of the items in her hand and was ]telling me it was priced wrong. I told her, that is not my problem. It was on the shelf at that price and that is the price she needs to sell it to me for. She said NO. I am not sure why the saleswoman had to interject the owner in the owner but in any event.....I WILL NEVER BE BACK. They lost a good customer. I disagree with the review that claims they are overpriced. As with anywhere you shop you have to look at the value and decide for yourself. I found the owner very ready to discount an item, particularly if you are purchasing several items. I think this store is a hidden gem, and I shop for my grandchildren and other relatives here often! read more

Awhile back I brought in a few boxes of kid's clothes for consignment; the owner sorted out what she wanted and explained the store's policies in regard to how long they'd be there, the percentages, that they'd go to Goodwill, etc. if unsold in a specified time. We're talking about 35 pieces all from Ralph Lauren, Juicy Couture, and Heartstrings (better quality than either Lauren or Juicy). These were for the most part jackets, sweaters, substantial kid's clothes. After the three month sale period was over want to know how many of them were reported back to me as sold? Zero. I've never felt compelled to write a bad review on a thrift store until now, honestly. Whenever I go to a place like this I don't expect much, but when I leave feeling bad for the people that actually shop there, yea it's time to write an legitimate review. You'd expect from this neighborhood thrift store to be buyer friendly not only because it is advertised as a thrift store, but the location in downtown Narberth... not a "high end" district. You'd think this store was located on Walnut St. in Center City Philadelphia. I couldn't stay more than 10 minutes without laughing in disgust at every price I saw. I stuck to the children's toy section. A used ding up little toy car with the price still on the bottom at "6.99" was priced at $7.99. A bag of used opened recent GI joe dolls, all of 3 to 4 of them with a few accessories included: $61.99??? A box of wooden train parts: $300+, when I saw that I let out a laugh in front of the owner I really couldn't help myself. Absolutely astounding arrogant pricing. The prices at this store are like Ebay X 10. A random bag of matchbox cars in used-paint-missing-worn condition: $24.99. It's clear that whoever owns this store goes to thrift stores themselves and jacks up the prices 20 fold and expects a sucker to buy it. There really is no excuse for selling second-hand goods and brand new prices... Steer clear, there are many other options in the area for better deals... Heck Pennywise has better prices than there and that's saying A LOT because they're already expensive for a thrift store. read more
