Nice service department. Faster than the quick lane down the street. Friendly staff and really comfy chairs in the waiting area.

Worst dealership I ever been to. Horrible customer service and very shady dealer tactics.

I was supposed to receive a $400 trade-in and was asked for a $1,000 down payment. Jesse was the car salesman, and Mr. Leuk, the finance manager who they call Doc, were directly involved in how this deal was handled. They tried to structure the deal so that even after a $1,000 down payment, the car would still be priced at $5,744, even though a down payment should go to the bank and reduce the balance. I was charged $150 just to change out and put on a license plate, which should not be a customer charge. They also attempted to charge me $700 for a brake light that I never asked for, claiming it came with the car, which I clearly did not agree to. It was obvious that the salesman and finance manager coordinated closely with each other throughout this process in a way that allowed these issues to happen. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Moffitt Ford, and I strongly advise people to be very cautious and carefully review all numbers, fees, and promises when dealing with this dealership.

They even identified that a fog light was out and needed to order the part. All would be covered by warranty. Because we live 70 miles away it took a while to schedule the follow up visit. But, we were able to do so in a couple of weeks. The next service appointment could not have been worse. Check in went fine but I failed to get an estimate of the expected completion time. After two hours I checked to see if it was done. THEY HAD NOT STARTED. And, the fog light replacement is a 4-hour job as the whole bumper must come off. While the time to repair is understandable the lack of communication and the scheduling of an appointment when they did not have capacity to work on it is NOT! Having commitments to be home within 7 hours of leaving, I had to take back the truck and reschedule. The poor service has so far cost me a day of my life and $30 in gas. And, I still have to try again.

Steve came highly recommended by our friends, Jim and Darcey Widmann, and now we know why. After shopping all over Des Moines for a truck, we encountered dealerships that either patronized us, hassled us, or made us feel like we didn't know what we were talking about. Some even tried to convince us that we couldn't get what we wanted. But when we walked into Toyota of Des Moines, it was a completely different experience. From the moment we were greeted, we felt welcomed and respected. Steve allowed us to choose the vehicle we wanted without any hassle. Every incentive was explained upfront, and the level of transparency was refreshing. What truly set them apart was their willingness to meet our needs on the trade-in. We were told by a Ford dealer (who originally sold us the Bronco) that we could never get the trade-in value we wanted, but Toyota gave us exactly what we asked for--no questions asked. Steve and the entire team at Toyota of Des Moines worked with urgency, respect, and professionalism to finalize the deal in a way that left us completely satisfied. This level of customer care and attention to our needs is what made us feel valued. Toyota of Des Moines embodies what it means to be a true car dealership. We are now proud Toyota brand loyalists and look forward to a lifetime of Toyota ownership, provided the company continues to deliver on its promise of quality in both manufacturing and sales. If you're out there shopping for a vehicle and struggling to find a dealership that truly listens and puts the customer first, look no further than Toyota of Des Moines. Thank you, Steve Henigan, and the entire team--you have earned our loyalty!

When I opened the link, it unexpectedly showed: "All services declined (1 of 1 services declined)." Assuming this could be clarified in person, I went back to the service center. Upon arrival, I was informed that my vehicle was still being serviced and that I needed to wait 10-15 minutes. After about 10 minutes, the Service Advisor presented me with a bill totaling $760.64. Knowing that the transmission service alone costs over $500, I paid the bill at the time without much thinking as I needed to pick up my kids. However, after reviewing the invoice carefully at home, I identified several concerning issues: 1. Unauthorized Add-On Services The invoice includes three additional services that I did not request and that are not part of Service A137: Premium engine oil condition ($50) Engine crankcase cleaning service ($50) Ethanol fuel system corrosion prevention kit ($75) 2. Incomplete Requested Services I do not see evidence that the following requested services were performed: Tire rotation (Code 1) Brake fluid replacement (Code 7) 3. Lack of Authorization Most importantly, I was never given the opportunity to approve or decline the additional recommended services. By the time I received the text message, it appears that decisions had already been made and services had already been initiated without my consent. I am very concerned about how these additional services were authorized and why the requested services were not fully completed. I contacted them on the same day and followed up again the next day. I was transferred to the service manager's voicemail and left a message. [Update] The service manager called me the next day and offered to do the tire rotation and brake fluid replacement free of charge.
