    Not a fan. Bland.

Not a fan of these. I got a beef one and italian one and even with all the gravy, i found these super bland and flavorless! I know these are different than kolahces but the kolaches are sooo much better! The beef and italian tasted very similar for me. The gravy didnt help. I threw the rest of these away. Not good.

...hard to make the call, but when you expand a business "too quickly", it sometimes doesn't work out as planned. Didn't eat anything substantial yesterday at work because I didn't do a meal prep over the weekend, so I basically snacked on junk food till I decided to get a Pasty pie on my way home. I even made a U-turn because I noticed this place was (back) open. The sign said "RE-OPENING" and I had seen it there, but hadn't noticed that it was open for an entire year before shutting down. Went in, happened to meet the owner, so he told me the story that they had been open in HB for a year and didn't do well at all... so he closed the doors. The owner of the mini mall asked him to reopen on a part time basis and together they brain-stormed to try again to make it work. AFTER ALL, when the OG location in Los Alamitos has been open for SIXTY THREE years and have a 4.3 Yelp rating, they obviously know how to run a business..... BUT YOU NEED CUSTOMERS! So, I took a few snaps and bought one pasty pie today because he had a new flavor, Corned Beef & Cabbage. He told me no gravy was required because it had enough flavor on it's own. I'm a little sensitive to "salt", so it was a bit too salty for me, IMO. If you've ever tried the Pasty Kitchen in Los Al or Cerritos and are a fan, PLEASE SUPPORT LOCAL and give the HB store a visit. They also have amazing looking pastries & salads. Corned Beef & Cabbage $5.50

Pasty Kitchen has opened on Bolsa Chica. We selected the 6-pack Hot Box ($29.70) that comes with 6 small pasties and 2 large gravies. We did half and half beef and chicken. Regular price on small beef or chicken pasties is $4.95 each so you're basically getting free gravy. We chose beef and chicken for the 2 large sauces. We also tried out a Bratwurst & Sauerkraut pasty ($5.50) and Corned Beef & Cabbage ($5.50). It was recommended that we buy a mustard sauce ($1.50) to accompany the Bratwurst (?) maybe it was for the Corned Beef? It would have been nice to try some of the fruit pasties but they were completely out, only cookies in stock so we passed. First off, all the pasties tasted very similar to us, regardless of type. But of the 4, the beef was definitely the best tasting. And of the two sauces, the beef was better over the chicken, more flavorful. The pasties were very filling and hearty due to all the potatoes. There's only two of us so we had pasties for days. The staff here is exceptionally nice, recognized us as first-timers, told us how to eat the pasties, made suggestions. The location is an ordering counter and display cases, so the ambiance is simple and friendly. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be back unless we have visitors who want to try it.

So excited to finally try this spot! I ordered a small beef pasty, small vegetable pasty, macaroni salad, and peach turnover. They asked is I want beef gravy to go with the pasty, so ordered that too. Everything is ordered to go, so I couldn't wait to get home and try everything. The beef pasty had carrots and potatoes with it. It was really good and quite filling. The veggie one was loaded with zucchini and broccoli and other veggies too. It was really good as well! The gravy was amazing! Totally recommend adding it to your order. The peach turnover was also delicious. Every last bite was consumed. The Mac salad was good, but I got so full from everything I don't know that I needed it. The employees were really nice and we chatted a bit. It's super clean inside. A small little spot. I like that they have a few designated parking spots. I will definitely return.

We go to the joint next door pretty frequently and saw this little place. Located where the pizza place used to be. Tiny, bare bones location. Friendly greeting upon entering and we were given a good explanation of things. Ok. I got the large beef pasty. So, when you hear the word "pasty," it conjures up images of dainty-ness, delicateness. At least for me, anyway. Quite the contrary. Like a huge, hulking body builder named Lawrence, this pasty was significant despite its name. It's a full meal with every food group represented...aside from throwing in an apple or something. Got a side of beef gravy with it. Because, why not? I've never turned down a gravy offer. It was solid. Filling is beef, spuds, carrots, onions, etc. gravy was nice. I ate the whole thing. Pastry that encases the entire job was good, flaky. It's like a hand held shepherd's pie. Simple, hearty food. Next time, we'll try the fruit filled options. Give it a go mate.

Small , tiny stores in the Huntington Beach for to go only. (No tables) The pie corner beef was okay ( potatoes more than corner beef) Service nice help.

I'm personally used to the funnel cakes from fairs and amusement parks that tend to be super crunchy and hard to break into sometimes from being fried too long. But this one.... SOFT. Fresh to order of course. Super easy to tear apart and scoop up the strawberries and whipped cream. I loved the texture, and the strawberries weren't too sweet at all. I think it's such a great sweet treat to have when in HB. There's also other goodies like cookies, brownies and drinks. Customer service was fast, standard, nothing else. & pricing is very fair. They have a small floating side table to eat off of, otherwise you'd eat this outside. It's pretty cramped inside. Parking is on main or in the close by parking garages. No restroom. Tiny lil thang.

Paid street parking with nominal fees were plenty available on a Wednesday afternoon. No lines upon entry and the service was quick and friendly. I got to watch how the funnel cake is created! I love fresh funnel cakes but had no idea what sort of monstrosity I ordered. My sundae came with huge scoops of two flavors of ice cream of my choice. Plus whipped cream and syrups of my choice. I wish I had the foresight to have the ice cream in a separate container to avoid the crispy fluffy funnel cake from going soggy quickly. I liked how not too sweet my ice creams were. The funnel cakes were thick and fluffy albeit a bit soggy due to the melting ice cream. I wouldn't mind revisiting again just to enjoy the treats. It is so worth the visit.

As soon as you step in, you know you're walking into a gourmet cookie shop -- super clean and elegant. The girl helping me was so sweet and guided me through the menu since it was my first time. I ended up getting two Semi-Sweet Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt (because that's exactly what I was craving), a Tres Leches on her recommendation that it tasted like a churro, and the Biscoff Chip because I'm a Biscoff fan and was curious. The Biscoff was good. I wish it had some kind of nut, like almonds or macadamia in it for texture with the white chocolate, but it was still delicious! The Tres Leches was the winner for me -- ooey, gooey, and it really did taste like a churro! Amazinggg But the Semi-Sweet Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt is like old reliable. I ended up getting off early so I called and asked if it would be available for 5PM. The associate told me "No it won't be ready, it would be ready closer to 6:30." We then agreed that I could stop by closer to their closing time (9pm) since I don't live in the area. I could drive home then come back to pick it up. I arrived at 8:15PM, the associate tells me when I arrive "I'm so sorry it's not ready, I thought you'd be here closer to 8:45PM." I say "No worries I'll come back at 8:45PM." I come back to pick up the cake. It comes out hot and newly decorated with icing. 10 minutes down the road I check the cake, and the icing is completely melted. By then it's 9pm and I can't turn around to go back to the store. The next morning around 11am I called the store to speak with the manager. I leave my contact info, and I receive a call within 20 minutes from the store manager, Dustin. I explain the situation and how the cake is not presentable anymore for the birthday event I ordered it for. He apologizes and offers a dozen cookies or a refund. Since there's no time for me to drive back to Huntington Beach for a party that is in Pasadena within the next hour, we opt for the refund and Dustin states, "This is my personal number, I'll shoot you a text when that refund goes through." A week later, no refund, no communication, no follow-up. I called Dustin one more time, left a voicemail and one additional text just incase. Over the course of several days, still no response. Suffice to say, it is what it is. I just wanted a refund for the cake that I bought which I ended up not even bringing to the event I got it for because of the melted icing. TLDR: product wasn't ready at the time it was agreed upon to be ready, when product was picked up it was faulty, the manager offered a refund that never came and ghosted me
