The menu changes so I won't go through the dishes (except a little bit) but I'd say their flavor profile is sort of earth and funky, which is something I'm into. Not a ton of brightness going on here, and I think they pull it off well.
The silliest part was I saw them carving what looked like pastrami, but that wouldn't seem to fit into a small farm to table restaurant in auckland. Well it was in fact pastrami because the folks there had recently been to NYC and went to Katz's deli and were inspired to make their own. It was excellent.
The drink pairings are interesting and worth having, though I kind of wish there was more volume. I wasn't quite able to work up a buzz. read more
