The pastrami sub is good and fresh. Tasty. However, not a good bang for the buck. It's a few coins short of $20 for an 8" roll with bare minimum meat inside. I feel that it's worth $12 or so. The price of a Publix sub. At Publix though, you'll still get a sub that weighs twice as much. I like that it's a small family owned business. Cash only. I love to come back and support a small business but the cost to value ratio is off in my opinion. read more

I carried out a pastrami on rye with yellow mustard from Pastrami Dan's in Naples today. As good a pastrami sandwich I've had since my visit to Katz's Deli New York City. They slice a generous amount of pastrami and stack it on the rye and serve it with a pickle slice. The pastrami was very lean and flavorful. Have wanted to try Pastrami Dans for years and finally got to. Definitely worth the wait. Had the "half and half" (half pastrami and half roast beef). Delicious! Pastrami and roast beef were both cooked perfectly and very tasty. It comes with a container of juice. Pastrami side had mustard and a spear pocket on it. Roast beef was excellent quality. The meat and bread was as good as any that I've had in the metro New York area. Note: the menu is very simple, it's not cheap ($20 for a medium-sized sandwich), they only accept cash, and if you go in the winter months there will be a long line. Btw...the husband and wife owners are lovely and the very staff is friendly. Cannot wait to go back! read more

Pastrami sandwich is fantastic. Quality meat, cooked perfectly, shaved thin. I tried the roast beef as well. Flavorful, served with a deep, dark gravy for dipping. It was good, however, I personally prefer roast beef to be very rare, so going forward I'm sticking with the pastrami. Size wise, good portion but not large enough to share. 2 sandwiches, 2 chips and one water was $41. Cash only. There is parking but it is really difficult to get in an out. Its a MUST try place. Small, locally owned. We heard about this place and finally stopped by. We grabbed a pastrami sandwich to go. The people were so friendly. The sandwich was excellent reheated in the oven. We enjoyed it so much, we went back again today. They remembered us from a couple of days ago. Today we had the pastrami sandwich fresh. AMAZING! We also tried the Chili and a chili dog. Also delicious. The owners son also brought us over a taco to try. Very thoughtful of him. It was also delicious. Well we've been in Naples now 6 years, Pastrami Dans has been here for decades. Must be a damn good sandwich! It's got to be stacked a mile high with pastrami like that place in New York, can't even fit your mouth around it....why do I assume this? It's fricking $18.50 for this sandwich! You only get the sandwich, chips extra, coleslaw extra, ect. The sandwich was nothing more then a Ruben or other Pastrami sandwich you would get from some plain Jane establishment. Yes, Dan offers a few other items, super taco, chili, and hot dog, but why bother? The sandwich is amazing, and probably better than any other pastrami sandwich you've had before-ever. I had a side of potato salad, and this was the only semi-fail. My BF's was great, nice slices of potato, light mayo, etc., but when I opened my container, it was half potato, and half soupy mayo-ugh! Have been here a few times, but not for over a year. Always been fairly good-not great deli good-but not bad. After today I will NEVER return! I ordered a pastrami sandwich and a drink. I happen to look over at the sandwich prep guy scratching his face and figured he would wash his hands and/or put on some plastic gloves--nope. The guy grabbed the bread and meat with his dirty hands and began to make the sandwich. I asked the cashier why he wasn't wearing gloves and she said "we don't do that here". The prep guy said that it's no problem since he "doesn't touch the money". Seriously, his hands are clean because he doesn't touch the money? This was just disgusting and I left. In this day and age-with Covid still a major problem-the food prep people here apparently don't wash their hands or wear gloves. A box of plastic disposable gloves are what-5 bucks?
