I finally moved out of Newberg so I'll finally review this place. "5-stars and only now? Why wait?" You ask It's because I didn't want anyone coming here, slowing down my ability to get my burrito. This place is the one of two best burritos in Newberg. I usually get the Asada (steak) burrito but the chicken is delicious too. I've tried a friends tacos once, and they were delicious, but I'm not passing up an opportunity to get a burrito just to get some tacos. No idea what the red sauce is called, but get that, and use it!!! I'd drink it if it didn't all seep into by burrito, it's delicious. Go here on your way to the vineyards or on your way back. Great!: Solid taco truck that has the right kind of authentic menu. Their red and green sauce are unique over other taquerias, but absolutely rule. The burritos are filling and tasty but don't leave you in a too much discomfort (burrito enthusiasts; you know what I'm talking about). This is one of the best Taco Trucks I have ever experienced! It was 93 degrees outside and that didn't stop me!! I was going to try the cow tongue tacos and they were sold out. So, I vouched for the beef head tacos. I was blown away with the flavor and experience! Think of juicy, tender pot roast in a taco with all the fixings of cilantro, onion, and a squeeze of lime. The meat was perfectly seasoned and the corn tortillas were fresh and hot off the press! In my opinion, this place is the real deal truck! I will readily admit I love burritos. Probably a little too much. Nevertheless, it is this love of burritos that has sent me trying them in multiple venues all over Newberg. Pastorcillos is the best I have found. It's a clean cart with very friendly and consistent service. Nothing fancy on the outside, but they work magic in that little kitchen. One $5 burrito is massive and absolutely packed with flavor. They also have incredible tortas, tacos and any kind of hot sauce you could possibly want. Remember to get some cash out before you go. You will pay just a couple bucks more than you might at, say, Muchas Gracias, but it is well worth the flavor. read more

Wow, surprised and happy to see this here. I work around the corner, otherwise, I'd never have known it was here. A permanent truck, so you never have to worry it won't be around. Everything is cooked fresh, you may have to wait a few minutes. Menu includes tacos, burritos, quesadillas, fajitas, tostadas, etc. and they have meat choices like head and tongue (yes, and all the standard stuff too). I always get something with chicken, and I can tell instantly that it is quality meat (I had some horrible lomo saltado at 12th and Alder recently that temporarily caused me to cease eating chicken at carts. I am happy to report the situation has resolved itself.) There are always a couple specials written on the board as well. And the salsa ... red and green and they don't make you feel awkward if you ask for excessive amounts. Super clean truck, very friendly service. read more

Pastorcillos is a classic taco truck, semi-permanently located on the corner of First and Main, in Newberg. They serve up the fairly limited menu you'd expect from a taco truck. Their service is excellent, in two languages. And their carnitas tacos are otherworldly. So addictive you won't believe it. The tacos are authentic, served up on two small soft corn tortillas, garnished with greens and a slice of lime. If you're looking for a super clean kitchen, or a gourmet experience, move on. This place is as close as we get to street food in Newberg (in my book, street food is a Good Thing). read more

We've lived in Newberg for 2 years, how is this our first time to this taco truck?! Located at the far end of downtown, next to Nap's Thriftway, and has a couple tables and umbrellas. Prices we decent, 7.00 for a huge steak burrito and 1.50 each taco. The carne asada tacos were amazing and authentic and SO fresh tasting!! The burrito was pretty good too, just not quite as much meat as I would have liked. The tortilla was baked to a perfect soft crispness so it didn't fall apart and stayed very well in tact the whole time you are eating it, which is important! The green sauce and the red sauce were just amazing. Not spicy, not typical. Just give a really fresh taste to the food. Overall, great experience and I will be visiting here more for my frequent taco cravings! read more

I am totally addicted to both the red and green salsas they serve up at Pastorcillos! This truck is tucked away behind a metal shop across the street from Nap's Grocery. It is well worth seeking out. The crowd that gathers at lunchtime on a sunny day is is great cross section of Newberg. Guys from the tire shop, George Fox students, and the occasional winemaker all happily line up to get some of what Pastorcillos is dishing out. read more

I have eaten here a grotesque amount of times. The burritos are divine. The tacos are lovely. The tostadas are crunchy and crispy and melty. The tortas are the real gem here, though. They are absolutely decadent. Its basically a burrito sandwich made by the executive chef to Henry the VIII (who apparently also cooked for Satan before he went all SoBe on us). The salsas are, too, something quite special. I've never considered waiting an extra few minutes for salsa until I waited, on purpose, for them to make a new batch of the red from scratch. It is SO good. The green is a perfect counterpart to it, too. Creamy and lush to the red's sultry steam. We went so far as to have Pastorcillo's cater events for us on a semi-regular basis. I've dodged a lunch with my parents because the call of the torta tra-la-tra-la'd its siren song. Addiction? I am guilty as charged. Satisfied with delicious taco truck over-indulgence? You bet your ass, hermano. If you drive through Newberg ever and you do not stop here you have proved yourself to be a minuscule waft of sadness and, frankly, stupidity that I shall have no association with.
