Love Martha's Tacos. This little restaurant is warm, comfortable and clean. The owners greet you genuinely when you walk in the door. We arrived for lunch and ordered a 3 taco (shrimp, chicken and steak) plate with rice and beans and a chicken quesadilla. The tacos were delicious! Fresh ingredients cooked to perfection piled high in a soft fluffy warm corn tortilla. The quesadilla had an impressive amount of chicken and cheese then delicately toasted. For dessert we took flan home, it was so delicious! read more

Long time fan, I've been coming here for about 15 years after hearing from a winemaker that this is a well known local place. Atmosphere is comfortable but not remotely fancy, you walk up to a counter and order (or call ahead) then wait for your food at a table and either dine in or take out. I like the carnitas but I love the chile rojo which is my go-to meal, and excellent warm corn tortillas make it that much better. On a recent visit I ordered guacamole which was good but the tortilla chips were sadly a bit stale however this would by no means prevent me from coming back as soon as I can. Great, authentic Mexican food (well, admittedly I'm not the foremost expert but I know good Mexican food and was about the only one in the restaurant not speaking Spanish) in a nice local place is hard to beat. Definitely check out Martha's Tacos & More if you can! read more

Stopped by last Saturday for a to go order. Everything was great! Service was responsive and pleasant, answering many questions and providing great guidance. Food was astounding! We are visiting from Florida and saw your restaurant only two blocks down the hill from where we are visiting. So we ordered takeout and ate every last bite - except for the flan because we were too full. It will make a great midnight snack. Everything was absolutely delicious. The carnitas burrito, the carnitas plate, the chili relleno, and the machaca were so flavorful and were pepper-mild enough for my older dinner companion to eat without any complaints. My younger companion loved her carnitas which she devoured wrapped in the amazing, fresh, homemade corn tortillas - her favorite. The portions were very generous but since we were all so hungry and everything was so tasty that there is only enough leftovers for one of us . I'm hoping it's me. Thank you for an excellent meal. Wow this place is good. Could be considered a hole in the wall place, but only because it lacks fancy wallpaper, hip music, and a hostess. Otherwise, the food speaks for itself. Came here on a recommendation after a hike in the woods, looking for something hot and satisfying. Ordered an "adovado burrito" with everything and took it home to enjoy next to the fire. Was pleasantly surprised with the flavorful marinated meat that gave a red hue to the rice and beans in the burrito. I would highly recommend this burrito, and I'm sure any other burrito based on the quality I tasted. Tastes authentic and downright wrong it is as so good. read more

Even though I had posted a subpar review for this place because I went one day during the heat of the pandemic and there was a patron maskless, this place is truly a gem. The owner is so super nice, the food is authentically delicious. If you are traveling thru Lafayette you should make sure to stop at Martha's, you won't regret it. read more

In the tiny town of Lafayette there is amazing Mexican food at Martha's. It is just a tiny restaurant providing the best Mexican food I've had in Oregon. Kids all loved it. Adults all loved it. What a lovely family atmosphere and wonderful food. Definitely recommend. read more

Stopped here and I wasn't disappointed! Great food, friendly staff, and large quantities. They always seem to be slightly busy, but never too busy, and I've been meaning to stop forever. This is a great little place on the main drag in the small town of Lafayette. If you order and eat there they serve you on real plates...a big plus to me. And they bring around warm chips and salsa...a big plus. You can't go wrong eating here. We had the taco plate for lunch...carnitas taco and husband had carne asada taco...both came with rice and beans. Totally delicious. Will go again. read more

This is the best Mexican food I've had in a REALLY long time. We ordered the huevos rancheros and they were insane. They make house made fresh corn tortillas in house and I'm certain that their other food is just as good. You should definitely go. read more

My dad and sister love this place. It's their go-to place in Lafayette. At Martha's, you know you will get fresh food and that it will be tasty. I have a bit higher standards. I don't pick a taco joint because it's three minutes away. I pick a place based on how much I love the food. The food here is good, it's just not great. If you want some truly delicious Mexican food in Yamhill County, there are some great places in Mac and a stellar one in Dundee. Don't sell yourself short. Eat your burrito calories in a place with truly phenomenal food. read more

My husband and I wandered into Martha's Tacos after visiting a handful of Oregon wineries. Imagine our delight as we bit into the most authentic and delicious tacos that we'd had in months (we both recently moved to Boston from Texas, and New England is unsurprisingly lacking in real Mexican food.) This place is legit-- tacos come on wonderfully soft corn tortillas, garnished with cilantro and onion. Between the two of us, we tried 3 or 4 different tacos and all were great. I would absolutely make a point of wandering back to this hidden gem! read more

I've been living in the Southwest US for 40 years and visiting various parts of Mexico regularly during that time. I'm something of a Mexican food snob...from street tacos to huitlacoche crepes. This is great stuff. My wife's carnitas were some of the best we've had, and my adobado tacos the same. We're making Martha's a regular stops on our frequent trips through the area. read more

Standard Mexican street taco on a soft corn tortilla, your choice of meat chunks, with onions and cilantro. Very tasty! $1.75 is a good deal when you consider other "Mexican" joints sell crispy Gringo tacos with ground beef, and lots of lettuce for several dollars. Chili relleno was very nicely done, and the wet burrito was huge. All in all, one of the better Mexican restaurants I've tried in Oregon, at very reasonable prices. read more

Not that I want every review I create to be 4-5 stars. Then you might not take my compliments seriously. I will try to rate something that really disgusts me next. SO if you are driving through Lafayette, which is a pretty short drive...You will pass Martha's Tacos, and maybe think nothing of it. From the outside--nothing really grabs at you. And nothing really grabs out at you on the inside either. But there is a reason that on any given day you will probably see a winemaker or vineyard owner eating in there. And they very well got the skinny about it through the vineyard workers.... Food is amazing, authentic mexican food. There is no americanized dishes on this menu. Most things sell out quickly, and when that happens then unfortunately you have to pick something else. Everything has such a fresh, home-made taste. I will even eat all the refried beans, which I never do. The corn tortillas--a-ma-ZING. They are a cross between flour and corn they seem. Very fluffy. Chile Verde my other recommendation. Don't go thinking you will see a mural painted all over the walls, or fake parrots and fake plants hanging from macrame holders. The place is pretty bare but who cares when the food is delicious! read more

I've lived in Yamhill County since 1998 and I'm so sad I haven't tried Martha's in those 15+ years! Boy was I missing out! The corn tortillas are fluffy, soft and to die for. Chicken and shredded beef tacos were amazing with salsa and diced green onions. Chilli rellenos were home made and very tasty with an excellent sauce. They were all sold out of their pork tamales, but that is what I'll try next time I go. Simple and clean interior with friendly staff. Highly recommend their food over the typical stuff you get at every Mexican restaurant in McMinnville. YUM! read more

We were undecided as to what to have for lunch and figured whatever looked good as we drove down 99W would work. As we approached Lafayette, this amazing aroma filled the air and by the time we were in front of Martha's we knew we had to stop. I had the carnitas plate which was not only delicious, but generous in portion. My husband had the tostada which he reported was good, but his only complaint was that the shell tasted like it was fried in rancid oil. He was a bit scared for the hour following the meal, but he never was sick from it.. The service was very friendly and very quick. Despite my husband's complaint about the tostada shell, we will go back to Martha's whenever we find ourselves back in Lafayette. read more

Martha's Tacos serves up exceptionally tasty, remarkably affordable fare. They offer sopas, tostadas and a variety of other Mexican food not necessarily found at a typical taqueria. A definite bonus, if you have time to sit and enjoy it, is the wet burrito (any of their burrito offerings smothered in a well-spiced and subtle enchilada sauce)! Just tried the nachos and boy, are they delicous. We had chicken and it came with beens, white cheese, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. I could probably eat them every day if I had the opportunity! The staff was great about taking our large to-go order over the phone to have ready when I got there, but there was a little mix up. Thankfully one of the employees realized it before I even got the food so that was nice. If you want decently priced authentic-ish Mexican food, this is the place. read more

We only ordered nachos to share on this particular evening. The nachos are big enough for 2-3 people to share. We added grilled chicken on the nachos. The food came out piping hot and pretty quickly. The food was seasoned well. The guacamole was very tasty. I really appreciate Naxos that uses real cheese and not processed cheese sauce. The service was top notch. The food was delicious.

Really great tacos, really okay service…read more I stopped by after visiting the Tillamook factory and ordered a few tacos. They were street taco size, so not super filling. Flavor wise, they were so fresh and delicious. The salsas were all really great (shoutout out to the habanero salsa- SO good), but the service was just meh. Plenty of outdoor seating, which was appreciated.
