Stopped by on our way to Minnesota from Road America. We wanted a decent meal but not a lot of time. I got the Chicken Cordon bleu and it was delicious. Hot and tasty. The bun was also very good! My Girl and I stopped by here on the way out of town about 2 weeks ago, after hearing a lot of praise over their food. Well we have to say that this was one of the best local choices we have in town! I ordered the Ruben and my girl ordered the Tenders and Fries. Everything was tender, juicy, and just perfectly cooked! As far as Bar food goes, we have had everything from mediocre tenders and fries in Waupun at that Prison joint, to just delectable and perfectly done tenders from here, 9/10! The only thing that would have made it even better was if I ordered the right sauces, which is at no fault on the bar, I just thought I was feeling Ranch that night when I actually should have chosen bbq instead. We will definitely make this our new in-town favorite. read more

Pastimes have a large menu full of great food and homemade soups. The fish fry was phenomenal and the steak sandwich was tender and juicy. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The place is nearly always crowded and if you are lucky enough to find a seat at the bar, you will enjoy cheap beer deals and a full bar to satisfy your cravings. read more

If I could give this place 2 1/2 stars, I would. It was mediocre, not good, not bad. Service was good, food was typical bar food. However, nothing stood out. We ordered Bloody Marys which were good, bbq ribs, and a French dip. Both meals were lacking....we, unfortunately will not be returning. read more

Based in Yelp reviews we stopped in here when passing through Ripon. I had the bourbon bacon burger and we also had the ribeye sandwhich. Both were great! Of the two I would say that ribeye is a hands down winner...very tender meat. The place is a bar that is quiet enough that you can hold a conversation without yelling at each other. The music was classic rock. Just an overall nice place to enjoy a drink and decent meal. The staff was very attentive as well. We will definately be stopping here again when we pass through again. So I just experienced my first Wisconsin fish fry today and must say I was not disappointed. I ordered the Cajun whiting dinner, which was one of their Friday night fish fry specials, along with cole slaw and potato salad. The fish was seasoned pretty well, although the slaw and potato salad were both a little on the sweet side. I just added some salt to each of them to balance out the flavors. I also ordered mac n cheese bites which were pretty yummy, although they might use Kraft instead of homemade - just as a heads up. Other than that, I got a coke and rum to top off my meal, which was mostly rum. My mom ordered the perch (also good) and garden salad which comes in a fried shell as it's bowl. The place is pretty casual and comfortable overall. The staff is friendly and helpful. Prices seem reasonable. There are several decent size flat screens playing various sports games at once. Their menu is simple, but filled with lots of great options: burgers, Reuben sandwiches, several different kinds of fried fish, lots of options for sides and daily specials, etc. There is something for everyone here. I am definitely planning to come back soon. read more

Quaint dive bar in the heart of Ripon. Bar food nice and came out piping hot. The staff was delightful, and the place was nice and tidy.

Food is excellent. Burger was homemade and actually cooked to order (asked for medium, received medium!). Homemade soup (loaded baked potato) was excellent. Fries were also homemade skin-on sliced potatos. Even the pickle was good. The beer was also very affordable. All of our food was great. This place is a bar, so don't expect restaurant grade service. I have eaten at Pastimes a lot and I'm very grossed out by the fact that the cooks will go out and smoke, but didn't wash their hands when they came back in. Also, I was sitting at the bar on a Friday night, both cooks were swearing and looked disgusted when new tickets were placed in front of them. I really like their food, but I will not be going back due to the lack of professionalism the cooks had. read more

This place is dark and creepy. It's on a dark street. I don't remember enjoying the drinks there. It was a quantity over quality type of place. Go to Millers if you want to have a beer. Better yet, don't drink in Ripon. Go to Madison and have a nice craft cocktail. read more
