Wandered through many winding and hilly side streets to locate this iconic corner joint!…read more It was worth it! Ordering is from a window and there is a lineup - even just before closing. It has character with cobblestoned streets and outdoor restaurant patios nearby. The bifanas are exceptional but pirri pirri sauce and mustard is required to give it that zing. Splash it on! The bun is fresh and delicious baked perfectly. If you come to Lisbon, do not leave without trying this establishment!

It's a tiny takeout-only counter, but the lines can get very long here. When I arrived, it was mid-afternoon, so only about five or so people. They're very quick with the food as well - I got mine, the classic one (no cheese), about a minute after ordering. The sandwich overall was pretty good. It's not meant to be a full meal - more like a snack or a breakfast type - it's not very large. The pork is alright, but a little tough. It's not very juicy, as there are certain parts that feel leather-ish. It did grow on me as I kept eating though, and towards the end I started to like it more. The bread is actually quite good; crispy on the top and yet the hollowed-out inside stays fluffy. They have mustard and chili oil on a side table for you to add - and this is much needed. The moisture from these helps so much with the sandwich, and especially the mustard just adds that different flavor that prevents it from being just plain pork. Oh yeah, and it's super cheap - at just 3 euros. Overall, it's not amazing food, but for how cheap it is it gets the job done. 8/10

The falafel sandwich is an abomination and shouldn't be served at all, the fixings they put on top of the sandwiches don't have distinct flavor . We also tried the Brazilian fruit drink and it didn't taste like anything . I would skip this place

Tony's Tip: As a rookie American ordering in Portugal, I neglected to double check I had the address of the hotel correct, and addresses in Portugal can be confusing to visitors. My first delivery actually got lost, and I had to get the bellman to talk to my driver (biker actually) to help him with the hotel's address. So, make sure you get this right. After a long day vacationing in Lisbon, we were looking to do takeout pizza and chill with a movie one night. Something pretty traditional (neapolitan w/ pepperoni). Taking a cue from my fellow Yelpers, Luzzo looked like it could deliver (see what I did there?). There are 7 locations scattered throughout Portugal, but this one was just blocks from our hotel. They have a wide variety of specialty pizzas. We went with the Tutti Trufi (mozzarella, truffles) and the Guilia (pepperoni, chicken, carmelized pineapple). Both had a perfect crust - thin and a blend between chewy and crispy. Cheese allocation was generous (the way I like it!). Totally hit the spot. It's always a little iffy when you're ordering takeout in another country, but pizza is pretty much a universal food category at this point, and I would absolutely order from Luzzo again.

I couldn't tell exactly how fresh it was- but definitely not the same as a slice from a shop in Italy. Recommended if you're looking to stop for something quick and simple.
