We ordered the Tortini del melenzane (baked eggplant dish) and rigatoni zii Teresa (pesto cream pasta). The rigatoni was cooked to a nice al dente and had good flavor. The creamy pesto was very tasty and the artichokes and mushrooms were cooked well. The baked eggplant was a little underwhelming but seasoned enough. For dessert we shared the New York style cheesecake which sadly did disappoint. The red sauce drizzled tasted artificial and the cheesecake itself was so so. Edit: we came back a second time because we wanted to try some of the other dishes. I enjoyed my gnocchi. It was very light and had a savory cheesy tomato sauce. The spaghetti pomodoro had a plainer tomato sauce but we liked the al dente cook on the pasta.

Ordering was very easy via the kiosk but the staff also offered to take our order if we needed help, which we appreciated! Interior was very clean, bright natural lighting, and not too noisy. I ordered the Short Rib Ragu with Creste Di Gallo pasta and added a focaccia. Shared a side salad with my friend! The salad is delicious and so refreshing! We both loved our pasta dishes so much. We thought that the Short Rib Ragu was a little more on the savory side whereas her Bolognese Ragu was more light but still savory. We both enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back again to try other sauces and pasta combinations.

I also got the Mortadella Sandwich which was decent. I probably wouldn't get it again. Also because I'm anxious to try their other sandwiches, Porchetta and Carbonara. Due' Cucina is surprising me in a good way because we haven't had good Italian around here in a while. Tavolata is ok and Tropea is a staple but nothing to write home about IMHO. I'm now going to eat my cannoli which is bound to be delicious because hey "how can you mess up a cannoli?" I will definitely visit to try some of their fresh pastas in the future.

New menu tonight, first the Panzela (most likely mispelled this) was delicious, a medley of vegs and croutons in a pesto was great and probably the best of the night honestly. 4.5 Stars. The chicken smelled, and looked great, but was just too chicken "breasty" if you know what I mean. Just a bit bland and plain, needed a bit more salt. The skin was well cooked and you do need to wait just a tad longer for the prep on this. It is a solid dish but nothing special. Could I eat it multiple times, probably, great protein. 3.5 Stars. King Salmon and the prep around it was very nicely done. Fresh, healthy, clean, buttttttt overcooked. Asked for medium rare plus and the moment I saw the char I knew it would be overcooked. While still good, it just had too much orange if you know what I mean and not enough delicate touch to it. If done right, definitely could see myself ordering this often. But it was disappointing to have my salmon overcooked. 3.5 Stars. I think this is a very quaint, nice ambiance, neighborhood restaurant. Not a destination restaurant though. Sorry. The service and the potential however makes it promising.

Wanted a lot of their meat/ seafood items from dinner menu, but when we came, only lunch was available. Very limited menu. The pasta from chicken parmigiana was good. Calamari was a little salty. Like the antipasto plate. Our sever was friendly but only one running the place. Meatballs were a ok. Enjoyed my lattes. Beautiful space. Coming back for dinner menu.

Salvatore is one of those larger than life personalities who makes you feel like a long lost friend, dining in his home. It really does elevate the experience when someone goes that far to make sure you truly enjoyed every part of your meal. For New Year's Eve Dinner we split a Caesar, I had the pasta special (red), she had the seafood linguine. We also each had a glass of wine. Finished up with tiramisu. Each dish was well executed, great sauce, lots of fresh seafood in the fettuccine. Just an all around solid experience, you wouldn't be surprised if Nona herself walked out of the kitchen. Do yourself a favor, get to Zio Sal. If Il Capo happens to be in the house be sure and say hello.

Portions were quite small. The chicken with pesto was just ok. Nothing to justify the price. The grilled vegetables were undercooked and lukewarm. Service was mediocre. We've had worse, but it was definitely needing work. All told, our bill was $70 not including tip for two very sub-par meals, no drinks, just tap water, no appetizers, and no dessert. We will not be returning and we'd recommend you stay away from this. And honestly, I'd even rate Olive Garden a few notches above this place, and that's saying something. At least the food there is consistently decent, they give you free bread, free soup, and free salad. And the prices are significantly cheaper and service is better.
