    Bolognese

Went here because dal Moro's around the corner was closed. It was super busy but the food is quick to prepare. We both got the bolognese and found it to be just ok. We paid extra for cheese which was helpful for the flavor, however, there was a lot of pasta liquid/water in the bottom of the container which made it less appetizing. It's edible but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here

Service - good, the guy was very flirty with the americans. Made it a little uncomfortable. The pasta is so cheap its so worth trying. (5 Euro) Also you get to walk around with this on the go if youd like! Very convenient. Ambiance - good, you could see the pasta being made. The space seems clean. The seating area is a small/tiny wood shelf on the wall with circle stools. Food - from left to right -- Bolognese - (tomato sauce w/ beef) - yum, great for this price. Ai Formaggi - (3 Cheese) - was ok/good for a cheese lover like me. I would definitely choose a different option next time. It seemed too watery/unflavored Pollo E Funghi - (chicken with mushrooms & onions) delicious flavor! Location - in a good area, it is a small city so you will eventually find your way.

    Parmagiana pasta, delicious!

The pasta was delicious. The place was small so no where to sit this is why the pack it up to go. Fast service.

Excellent takeout pasta. Had lasagne, pasta of the day, and Nero di Seppia on separate evenings as it was just around the corner from my hotel. All made fresh and tasty.

This is Dal Moro's "rival restaurant" that serves to-go pasta. As I had mentioned in my review of Dal Moro's, to-go pasta is an example of eating smartly in Venice as it's cheap, delicious AND like gelato you can eat quickly in between your sightseeing. The reason I know about "Pasta & Pasta" is that I was trying to find Dal Moro's but I found this place instead. I think the address was misleading as what I had thought was Dal Moro's according to Google turned out to be this instead. There are 12 options for pasta with half of the sauces vegetarian but only two of them matter: "frutti di mare" and "nero di seppia". These take into consideration the sauce served in Northern Italian coastal cities. The rest are from other parts of Italy - which is not necessarily a bad thing. Just keep in mind that you may not necessarily be eating "from the region", a thing to keep in mind when you're vacationing in a different country. I ordered the "nero di seppia" with mozzarella and shrimp (additional toppers) and a can of Coke. Came to €9.50. The good thing about the pasta is that it's made to order, which means your pasta order can take a while. It took about 10 minutes for my order to get ready, half of that was getting my pasta cooked. When it was served I picknicked on one of the side canals near St. Mark's Square. The cuttlefish ink sauce makes the pasta umami but not overly so. Shrimp and mozzarella was good and the pasta was a tad overcooked. Still a good budget meal option regardless. There's limited counter seating across from the cashier but most people literally take their pasta to go. However don't wait too long for that perfect canalside view otherwise your pasta won't be as good.

This is a hidden gem of Venice. Very tourist friendly too. The woman working there (who we assumed to be the owner/head chef) was very patient and descriptive with any food items we were confused about. You can see the entire process of them making the pasta: from dough to sauce to final presentation of everything being in a to-go box. It costs about 4 Euros for their deliciousness. I got the squid ink pasta, and it was a wonderful chewy and slightly squiddy experience. I tried some of my family member's carbonara too, and even that was delicious. Take the money you would spend for the fake service charge and pan e coperto (bread charge) at the tourist traps and come here instead. Order 1, 2, or even 3 pasta dishes. You won't regret it. Even after a few months since I went here, I can vividly recall the entire experience of it. That's how much of an impact this place had on me and will have on you when you go here. Great flavors, great prices, great staff, what more could you want in a bustling tourist location like Venice?

Food was cooked to order. Service was friendly and quick (quick was important because we were hungry from traveling the whole day). Price was pretty cheap and similar to other pasta-to-go places. Food is pretty awesome. We ordered bolognese (meat sauce), pollo e funghi (mushroom), nero di seppia (squid ink) and frutti di mare (seafood) with different kinds of pasta for each sauce. All were good. I personally liked the bolognese the most. Please note that Pasta & Pasta remains open later than other pasta-to-go places, which is great for tourists. ;-)

So I have had a mixed experience in Venice - but this place was one of the good ones! :) This is the first place my mom and I tried and we will be back! I had the bacon and cheese dish with curly pasta. My mom had the bolognese gnocchi. The pasta is hand made there along with the gnocchi's. The sauce was so good, the price was perfect, and the staff was so nice. My pasta was cooked perfectly. My mom's gnocchi's were a bit soft - however the taste was very good. We will be back!

yum!! what a gem this place is! cheap, delicious, and a whole range of options to choose from! my friend and I grabbed takeout & went to go people watching. this was the first meal we ate upon arriving in Venice and we were VERY satisfied. a great option for quick + easy meals on the go! the employees were friendly and there are some standing tables if you'd rather eat there as well.

Heard about Venice's good fresh pasta to go places and decided to check this place out since it was open later than the other. Good price for delicious fresh pasta! Also in a great location just a few minutes walking from St Mark's Square. I got the Ai Formaggio and really enjoyed it. Came in about 30 minutes before closing and it was still really busy. Service was a little slow.

I went here because Dal Moro's was closed on Sunday, but I'm still happy I did because the pasta here was good, too. I tried the squid ink spaghetti, and I really liked the abundance of jet black ink. It's fairly mild, but it adds a nice little salty briney taste. I would say this place is pretty up-to-par with the other takeaway pasta places, though I do prefer thicker spaghetti or bigoli noodles rather than thin. Still good quality and price.

Friendly owner, no rush or push. Bought some jars with truffle honey (big and small) from just 7 Euros to 20 Euros a jar. Then a few bottles of Extra Virgin Olive Oil - from some smaller producers. Always fun to try new olive oil. And these we bought here tasted great when we used them at home. Prices very fair from 8 to 20 Euros a bottle. They sell a lot of their fresh and dried pasta as well. Looked very good, but we just didn't have much more space to carry. Maybe next time. A nice little independent shop. Great quality products.

Pasta! Pasta everywhere!…read more It was always hard for me to figure out what soveneirs to take home from trips. This time, coming from Venice, it was easy - locally made wine, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and pasta. Research brought me to this local, 100 year old, pasta place. Considered new by italian standards, but still making traditional pasta as good as the older ones. They also make flavored pasta like herbs, pizza, and squid ink. I loved that they make the pasta onsite. Supposedly, if one comes early enough, you can get a demo and possibly a pasta cooking lesson. They also offer sauces, olive oils, balsamic vinegar, truffles, and wines. In addition to those things, it's one of the few stores in Venice that carry asian groceries. Not a lot, but they have some. The price is also not too bad. It's cheaper than other places and had better pasta selection. This is a good, small shop to get food souvenirs from and I highly recommend it.
