Scampi linguini

Looking for fresh seafood and happen to be on Murano Island? Come by and check out B-Restaurant. Service was efficient, helpful, and let us know ahead of time that the seafood risotto dish would take a bit longer than the pasta dishes. At one point, my friend dropped her fork, and almost instantly, one of the servers picked it up, grabbed a new fork from his apron, and placed it on the table. Didn't even have time to ask for a new one since it all happened so fast. Food was amazing! They have actual scampi in their scampi pasta dish. Apparently, scampi is supposed to be made with scampi and not shrimp?!? Who knew?!? I always assumed scampi was the style of cooking, not an entirely different crustacean altogether. The reason why we use shrimp is because scampi don't live in the waters around the U.S. Needless to say, the scampi linguine and the seafood risotto were delicious and definitely the highlights of the meal. If you plan on visiting Murano Island and are craving some seafood after doing some glass shopping, definitely check out B-restaurant.

The most amazing aglio e olio pasta I've ever had. Ever. I ate it too fast to get a photo. The service was also great!! Clean place :)

Seafood pasta, simply and well prepared. We enjoyed the chef's special and the spider crab pasta. Good value Venetto DOC house wine paired well with the pasta. Service was fast, friendly and efficient!

We stopped in for lunch around 2:30p on a Saturday afternoon & wanted to eat on the patio. All the tables outside were full but there were some open inside. But we waited about 5 mins for one outside to open up. We had the bolognese, the pomodoro, and the chefs special which was a spiral pasta with seafood & a cream sauce & surprisingly blueberries?! Complimentary limoncello shots finished up a lovely lunch. Everything was very good & service was quick. The patio could have benefited from a few fans on this 80 degree day - even though it was pleasant & breezy on the patio, the sun was beating on a nearby wall, radiating onto the diners, making me wonder if they had heaters on! (They didn't)

A delicious lunch- we stopped in after reading some reviews online and it did not didsapont! After a hot visit in Burano we were very appreciative of the air conditioning and friendly service. Great spot to stop in Murano!

Very fast service, employees seated us fast when the place was crowded and the food was great. Ordered the diavola pizze and it came out hot and crispy.

Very cool atmosphere, delicious food, wonderfully welcoming staff, clean facilities and both indoor and outdoor seating. Tucked away from the main canal strip, you could easily past this hidden gem which is a shame as it is very worthy of a visit. Had the seafood pasta and the crab salad: both were simply divine. The clams were less gritty than any other place I've been to making the dining experience that much better as you didn't have to worry about biting down on some leftover sand. The crab salad, while simple, was cool and refreshing and a very nice balance to the heavier pasta dish. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

The Menu

My family and I had our first meal in Italy here in B-Restaurant. We came here around 1pm (1300 for yall Europeans) on a Thursday afternoon after walking around Murano and looking for some decent vegetarian food. Maybe it's because this was our first authentic Italian meal of the vacation, or maybe it's because B-Restaurant was just that good -- it's getting 5 stars. The restaurant is bigger than expected and there are several waiters and staff to cater to your needs. The food arrived quickly, and it was delicious. I ordered the salmon pasta with white sauce. The salmon is shredded throughout the pasta, so each bite consists of pasta, salmon, and the sauce. The sauce is amazingly cheesy and light, and the pasta is well done. My dad had a spaghetti dish, my sister got the pesto pasta, and my mom had the regular pasta with garlic and chili with a side platter of veggies. The portions look small, but they're actually large and filling. I could barely finish my pasta, but I still had room to taste the other dishes and eat my fair share of veggies. I highly recommend the salmon pasta or the pesto pasta.

Crab pasta, incredible

We took a small detour over to Murano after spending some time visiting Venice and we are very glad we did! It's a quaint little island that can easily be enjoyed in a couple of hours. We stumped across B-Restaurant after reading some reviews online. If you're not looking for it, you probably won't find it. It's further down one of the small streets of Murano, next to a beautiful glass art piece. Since it was a cold day, we decided to sit inside. The decor inside is not your typical Italian decor. It's very modern and sleek. Very different than the other trattorias we had visited that week. The menu is a bit pricey, so just be aware of that before coming. After living in Italy for half a year, i've started to tell when pasta is more expensive than usual but I'm glad we stuck it out and ordered. First, we got the caprese salad. It is very big and very shareable. It's different in that it's mozarella balls as opposed to slices with cherry tomatoes. It was missing some flavor so we added salt and balsamic vinegar so that we could enjoy it more. For second, we ordered the crab pasta and the spaghetti with frutti di mare. The crab pasta was delicious and even came in a crab shell. It is also a large portion so you really can share this with someone. The frutti di mare was also incredible and probably one of the highlights of our trip. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu and were not disappointed! It is a yellow color which is off-putting at first but somehow it was more delicious that we expected. The drink prices are also a bit high so we didn't order anything but water. A complimentary limencello at the end of our meal was night though! This restaurant also had a couple of vegan and vegetarian choices on their menu, so if you're looking for these meals, this could be the place to go!

Good solid bet. Enjoyed a very nice clam pasta and insalata misto. Off the way, quieter, and staff was very attentive. Note: I rate stars against its competitors and not of all time.

Best meal of our trip! Cute little place, just off the Main Street. Good house wine and great service. My girlfriends salad was huge! And delicious! My seafood skewers were fantastic! Soo much flavor!! Then we had some tiramisu... oh yeah great as well! If you go to Murano take the time to eat here, you will not be disappointed.

She wanted dessert, I told her I was the dessert, her reaction!?!

Staying on Murano instead of in Venice turned out to be an incredible experience. Venice is great,…read morebut getting out of the crowd was such a relief at the end of the day, and part of the wonder of Murano is Versus Meridianem! This quaint, understated INCREDIBLE restaurant is located on the water, at the end of a quiet street in a quiet part of town on this quiet tranquil island. This whole island feels local, not touristy. And that is probably because it is local. This is where a lot of the locals live. And that feeling extends into this restaurant. The entire outdoor courtyard when we arrived was filled with a large family, who must've been from the island, as there was about 40 of them. It looked like the matrons birthday. Celebrating. Eating, laughing and dancing. Drinking wine of course. I wanted to join them! We had reservations and were seated inside at the window, so we could watch the sunset. It was perfect, from the appetizers, to the entrees and wine. I ate more than my share and drank so much incredible wine I was glad we were walking only a short distance back to the hotel. When we left over an hour later, the family in the courtyard was still there. I regret not bringing over a bottle of wine and joining them! I remember loving every morsel I ate and the wine wasn't extravagant, but it was excellent! Definitely worth the boat ride if you're staying in Venice. If you're on Murano, I'm jealous, I wish I was there! Definitely get a table.

It has big and pretty amazing Murano glass chandeliers which are the perfect center piece of the dining room. The huge floor to ceiling windows make it nice and bright. I had the vegetable soup which was delicious and did my unsettled stomach a world of good. Hubby had the prongs and zucchini pesto pasta (which he shared with me) Oh lord, it was so good! And we shared a prosciutto ham pizza. It was one of rhw best I have had on this trip. Because I was a little queasy for some reason, I didn't have any wine but they have a great variety. They weren't too busy, which I didn't get because the view alone is worth it, and their prices are very comparable to everywhere else we have been. Service is typical Italian, they take your order, ring it and leave you alone until you are ready. Great place!

4.5 and rounded up. Interesting the range of reviews here. Came here in April and found the food…read morestellar and prices spectacular for the quality of food relative to NYC. Initial impressions--the outdoor patio seating along the canal looked lovely though was completely packed at lunchtime around 1pm. Waiting at the front of the restaurant, service looked to be quite busy, I walked inside and saw what appeared to be a manager or waitstaff having a conversation with the bartender. Not wanting to interrupt, I waited for about 5-7 minutes for them to be done, it was a bit strange because neither of them seemed to acknowledge my presence until I finally interrupted and asked if there were any tables available. Not sure if Italians expect you to make yourself known in this type of situation? In any case, we were directed to a different waitstaff and seated pretty promptly after that. Once seated, service was actually pretty great overall, though it did feel with the lunchtime rush each of the table staff had many tables to handle simultaneously. The overall ambience was warm with partial stone walls, and a bit formal, with white tablecloths and fabric-covered high-back seats. The waitstaff were polished and in uniform. The outside patio seated around 20 and interior dining rooms probably another 50 inside. We were seated in a smaller side room with tables for about dozen people which ended up being kinda nice to have some privacy. Menus come in Italian and English which was very helpful. Food and drink: Glass of chianti €5: lovely. I'm not a big chianti drinker so not quite qualified to make any judgements here, it was an enjoyable glass of red! Gingerino €3.50: this is not ginger ale, (which I knew ;) so anticipated and ordered this non-alcoholic aperitivo soda with curiosity. It's native to Venice and flavored with bitter citrus and herbs, similar to a root beer/sasparilla with citrus notes. Really enjoyed this! You can also find this in supermarkets in Venice. 30-month Parma ham with carasau bread and pears in red wine €14: ugh....that ham ((drool)). The complex sweet/tart flavors from the red wine poached pears went really well with the ham. Glad they have us a separate bread basket as it was helpful in pairing with this appetizer! Pappardelle with beef cheek stew fried leek and currants €15: delicious. Pasta was maybe a little over but beef cheek meat was tender, sauce was good and fried leeks added a bit of a crisp on top. Linguini alla Scoglio - linguini with mussels, clams, prawns, squid €19: superb. Would def recommend this. The picture doesn't do it justice, the sauce was great, not really spicy at all, the dish was chock full of seafood, quite a decent portion size (the plate was quite large), and all was cooked perfectly. Yummy! Desserts: we were too full but our German and British neighbors at the table next to us ordered a couple items and by the amount of "ooo's and aahh's" coming from the table were clearly delighted. Looking at their plates, both plating and desserts were creative and gorgeous. If I go back I'd surely order dessert here too.

We checked this place out while visiting Murano. Didn't seem to have that many good food options…read morearound, but this one had some interesting photos on the online reviews. It was a cute ambience, brick walls, arched walkways, colorful glass decorations. Servers were friendly. We got: Pork belly with radicchio and balsamic sauce: one of our appetizers, absolutely the best dish!!! It was a perfect mix of textures with the crispy pork belly with the moisture and crunch of the vegetables, sprinkled with some raisins and nuts adding interest, and the balsamic sauce with the perfect amount of acidity. Worked so well together, refreshing, loved it! Burrata eggplant appetizer: it was ok, cooked tomatoes were amazingly sweet and just wish there was more of it. The burrata itself doesn't have much flavor, but that's the same as what I've experienced elsewhere in Italy. Maybe that's normal? Eggplants were fine. It came with 2 chip-like things which were a nice touch. Beef cheek with purple potato and fried leek: meat seemed roasted, was impressively soft/tender. Purple potato was a fun color and sauce was ok. Fried leeks were a nice crunchy aspect. Overall though, it was a very mild dish and I wasn't blown away. Spaghetti with black garlic and langoustine: a little salty but otherwise pretty good, spaghetti was bouncy and cooked perfectly. Langoustine was slightly raw, I think intentional but not my preference. My partner cracked into the shell and got to some sweet sweet langoustine meat--delicious! Actually the dish reminded me a little of Chinese chow mein... Mousse cake: so beautiful! Loved the presentation. There were a few layers inside the half dome. It was a bit sweet but with the raspberry sauce was perfect. Also got the ginseng coffee which was a bit sweet but pleasant and my partner got the Machiatone which was good. Overall pleased with the experience! Loved the creativity and attention to detail.
