I needed my US Passport renewed and Miami Passport Agency is the closest to me to get same day…read morerenewal. I highly recommend filling out the paperwork online and making an appointment to make your experience much smoother. Once my first thing in the morning appointment time came a group of us were let in the appointment side. They also take walk ins, through a different side of the building. However if you have an appointment you go to the front of the line for security screening and get to the processing windows first. Security screening (think airport screening) was quick and I was off to the processing window. They reviewed my paperwork and I was told it usually takes about 2 hours to be processed. The procedure for picking up my renewed passport was explained and they also told me a text message would be sent when it was ready. After exploring Miami a little bit I was texted and I got my new passport. Very efficient process and the employees were great.

They are located in the Omni Center on the 4th floor in Suite 400. You can park across the street at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for $15, cash or Zelle only. It's legit. Somebody told us about it. The park meet at Omni Center building is pricey at $15 for the first 60 minutes, eight dollars for each additional minute and $50 maximum daily rate. We had plans to travel to the Bahamas on Thanksgiving day. On Monday night, we realized we didn't have passports for the kids!!! No, seriously. Our two oldest have expired passports our youngest never got one. Oh man!!! This slipped our mind as we travel to Bahamas often and just forgot that you need a passport for travel there. We jumped on the computer and went to the passport website. Very secured site as they ask for email and phone verifications. Good for us! They literally had one appt open at 9:30am on Tuesday morning, the next day. We snagged the appt and got all paperwork together, completed necessary forms and gathered proof of documentations. Woke the kids up the next day at 6:30am and went to Walgreens to get passport photos at 7am. Walgreens hustled and got us 3 passport photos within 15 minutes. $16.99 for each passport photo. Amazing! Worth every penny. Drove to Miami in the morning rush hour, funnnnn! Made it there by 9am for our 9:30am appt. Found out they have a passport photo service on the first floor. They charge more at $24 per passport photo. It's worth it for the convenience being in same building as Miami Passport Agency and a quick solution. There's also World's Smallest Café on first floor across from passport photo service. Coffee, tea, empanadas, small pizzas and pastries. Went to 4th floor for Miami Passport Agency. Lots of security. They check your printed confirmation of appt. Then they check your documents before you go through the security check. Once inside, it's massive. Quite efficient and smooth actually. You wait in line for them to check all actual documentation, they input into computer and give you a number. You sit and wait for them to call your number and which window to approach. Once we got called, they get everything together, confirm all information, check that both parents are present for kid's passports, confirm kids match passport requests, double and triple check everything and then you pay all the fees (application, expedited fee, etc). They print a receipt and let you know you can return the same day between 12-2pm to pick up your passports. My return time was 1pm. They emphasized that you must be here before 2pm or you don't get in!!! We arrived at 9am and everything went smoothly. We left around 10:30am. I came back at 12:30pm for passport pick up. The first line before security was super long, about 30-40 people deep. Waiting to get through security. Once you get through security, the room I was in before was PACKED!!! Everyone that came back to pick up their passports. Almost every other chair was full and still more people coming in. Although my pick up time was estimated for 1pm, they didn't call me until 1:45pm. Keep in mind, if they did call your name and you weren't there, they will repeat your name. Got the passports!!! Yayyyyyy!!! So freaking happy. All in all, I have to say Miami Passport Agency was incredibly efficient and such a smooth process. Of course it was a waiting game. But if you have everything they ask for, it should flow pretty smoothly. Thanks to everyone who helped us here! To put the story into context, I was handling getting my boyfriend's passport renewed for him as he just didn't have time to do it himself. On Match 11, 2024 I overnighted the passport renewal info for my boyfriend to his assigned customer service agent Mike Sosa who is located in Florida. He did communicate with me to confirm that all of the documents were correctly filled out and that the documents had been received. That was the last time I heard from Mike Sosa until I emailed him April 17, 2024 to ask about the status of the passport. Mike emailed me back on April 18th to inform me that the passport would arrive April 24, 2024. The passport never arrived. I emailed Mike Sosa multiple times on April 24, 2024. I also called passportsandvisas.com five times on April 24, 2024 and spoke to five different women all of whom hung up on me while I was telling them that the passport never arrived and could they please update me on where it was. It was like the call dropped every time. I got no where. Mike called me for the first time ever on April 25, 2024 and told me that the passport had been lost somewhere between their office in Colorado and the passport agency. The entire reason I decided to go with this company was that they were supposed to be able to monitor the process of the passport in it's journey of getting renewed, it was supposed to be white glove service. Then tell me how/why Mike Sosa told me on April 18th that the passport was getting processed and it would be overnighted to my boyfriend on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 and would arrive Wednesday, April 24, 2024? Shouldn't he have been able to see that the passport never made it to the State Department?? Had I not emailed him the day it was supposed to arrive and just waited, would he have ever contacted me? Who knows. While on the phone with Mike he told me that he would email me the instructions for the new situation we found ourselves in, that of a now lost passport. Please realize at this point, I only had a week left before our trip. I asked Mike Sosa would passportsandvisas.com pay for the state department fee since they lost the passport. He told me he would check with his manager and never called me back. I called and left multiple voicemails for Mike Sosa and I also emailed him and he never responded. I'm still emailing him asking for a refund for the $237 my boyfriend paid for the expediting service that never occurred. So what did we do? We got on the State Department's website and got an appointment at the passport agency in Washington, DC and got his passport in one day. I've never heard back from Mike Sosa after six emails asking for a refund for a service that was never provided. I tell you all of this as my experience matches up exactly with what everyone on Facebook said happened to them. They would call into the company and not only did it take an act of congress to get someone to answer the phone, but they constantly got hung up on. I completed the forms and shipped my order for a passport renewal via FedEx. For a child's passport, you need to get an appointment at a passport agent's office. What Rush My Passport does not tell you is that it takes a long time to get an appointment at the passport agent's office, at least in Miami. So I purchased a new package online that would be quicker time to get a passport once I found that out. However, it requires you to talk to someone, which is fine, only it is very hard to actually get someone on the line. Wait times can be 40 mins or longer, and you have no idea how long you have to wait. When I got the option to have someone call me back, I did not get a callback. So, by the time I had my appointment at the passport agent's office, I went ahead and submitted my child's passport without being able to talk to anyone or hear back from them. When I finally got through they pretty much told me they could not help me nor would they refund the money. I feel like it was a bit of a set up. They advertise they could get you a passport in 3 weeks and don't tell you it can take a week and a half to get an appointment at passport agency. Then when you try to get a faster time. You have to call them but can't get through and no one returns your call. And then when you finally get through sorry no refund and we cannot help you. This is not a business that cares about you, doesn't have your back, and if you have to get a child passport or need to go to a passport agent for any reason, you really should not use them.
