1 star only b/c our server Lily was great and tried her best! Sadly the steak was way overcooked…read more from what we ordered. When our server asked how it was, we let her know the steak was medium-well not medium.... She brought it back to the kitchen and then returned stating the chefs said it was cooked "Just right!"! She did not seem comfortable coming back with our overcooked steak -wow chef really? We asked to see the manager and we returned the steak (again) saying it was overcooked and not tasty. She did take the steak off the bill and comped one glass of wine, but would have preferred the chef to remake the steak and not argue with us. Really disappointing! The view was lovely but otherwise recommend hard pass on this place!

I had the stuffed haddock and it was very very hot and didn't seem to cool off for about 30 min but it was good. The not so good was the spotted wine glass for water when we sat down, and the the rancid orange juice in my husbands drink but the waitress was very nice and said yes indeed she tried the OJ and it was bad and she apologized for that immensely. The tables need candles, I'm actually shocked they don't bc it really feels like something is missing. They would do wonders for the ambiance which is great overlooking the lake. Overall a decent experience but for the proves these little things need to spot on. Candles are an easy fix.

The proceeds from the event will be shared to support youth recreation in New London as well as college and trade scholarships, literacy initiatives, and special charitable assistance by the Rotary Club. This year's event was a mid-scale plan and hosted 11 food trucks ranging from French fries and hamburgers to Burmese food. It was a superb and eclectic variety of food. The weather cooperated as it was an absolutely gorgeous day. However, the size of the crowd exceeded all expectations and over 1,200 people showed up to enjoy a delicious array of food The busiest truck was perhaps a grilled cheese truck that was the favorite with children and there was easily a 45-minute wait to get food. Next to it, a Home made French fries truck was also commanding half hour waits. On the other side, a Jamaican food truck, a Cajun truck, and a seafood truck with amazing lobster rolls were some of the salient ones. Towards the middle, a Burmese food stand and a cupcake dessert truck were available. Two great local establishments also made a hit. Grounds Coffeehouse provided muffins and gluten-free bakery items and fresh-roasted coffee. And Salt Hill Pub's local brew selections were presented in a fenced-in area. It absolutely rocked this year. And next year it's going to be even better.

All my Jane Austen fans lock in:…read more I was caught in that in between space of lunch which I missed and dinner which was a a few hours off at a potluck party. I Yelped this place (keep those reviews coming kids) and thought maybe I'd try to grab a savory chicken pot pie hand pie or something to tide me over. I didn't realize the pot pies were like dinner size lmao so I had to regroup. They had blueberry pie!! Now this is not remarkable in itself but all I wanted for my bday was to go to Acadia and have a lobster roll and blueberry pie on the big day and I had to change my plans for the SECOND year in a row. So in the words of Denzel I said to myself, "I'm leaving here with something." So I got a maple latte - lord. This is probably my fave coffee flavor - and a small blueberry pie for myself. There's a scene in the Colin Firth version of Pride and Prejudice where Mariah Lucas is panicking over how to pack her trunk based on what busybody Lady Catherine DeBerg advised her. Here comes Lizzy Bennett, "Mariah those are your trunks. You pack them the way you want." OK well Amanda G this is your pie and if you want to eat a pie for lunch in your car then you do it. And did. 20/10. Did do again. The next day. With an apple cinnamon muffin and a maple latte.
