I took a friend who has a hearing issue out for a special birthday lunch so asked the server if there was a more quiet table. Our server, Shelly, went above and beyond to find us a quite space which would accommodate this. Due to Shelley excellent customer service, my friend's birthday lunch was nothing short of wonderful. The icing on the cake was that food was excellent. A message to Shelly's boss, she is a keeper, the best server I have encountered. And to the boss, excellent menu options and excellent food. The waitresses were polite, the environment was casual and relaxed. The food was just okay. It was very delicious don't think otherwise but it just didn't dazzle me. The Calamari was pretty good! The pieces were a bit small. My friend really liked The Fettuccine Pollo e Funghi. But he rated it a 3 out of 5 stars. I thought my Spaghetti Primavera Pesto was fun to eat. This place used to be our "go to " for Italian or special events. But tonight has led us to the decision to scratch it off our list. The waitress was not very sociable. This used to be one of the best things about this place, the servers. Never asked how our meals were tasting, told us when she brought the bill that she assumed we were not going to order dessert. Never asked how we enjoyed our meal when she took the plates away. We had decided to express how disappointed we were in the meals. I always have the sambuca pasta. Tonight, I could not even taste a hint of the sambuca or even smell it like I always could in the past. Our pasta dishes had such a watery sauce one would think it was not drained. The owner always would come around touching base with his customers but not this evening. All in all it makes me sad this was our last visit here. read more

We went here last night for my birthday. We had all our kids and grandchildren with us. 10 in total. Very cozy restaurant, I haven't been there for over 20 years. I'm so shocked at their star rating! The food was exactly what we hoped for - casual italian fare at a reasonable price. It's exactly as advertised. We ended up here because of the convenient location but loved it. I ordered the Spaghetti Primavera and it was on point. Lots of feta, nicely cooked veg, and a salty sundried tomato pesto. This family run restaurant has been operating in St. B for a very long time. It serves up old school Italian comfort food of pastas and pizzas. The portions are generous and the prices are moderate. I'm not a fan of their pizzas, tried their "pollo" (10" for $15) which is a thin crust with chicken, red onion, feta, pesto and mozzarella. It's a little greasy and no real flavour despite the toppings on said pizza. Their lasagna al forno ($11.95) has ground beef, onions, tomato sauce, mozzarella and parmesan. It's a very generous portion of lasagna and it tasted pretty good. The dish comes with complimentary bread as well though I skipped the bread as I didn't want to be a in a carb induced coma. Service is really friendly here and food service is relatively fast at lunch. The best part of this place is probably the 50 seat roof top patio. There's shade up there and you are fairly insulated from the noise, traffic and dust on Marion Street. I've only come here as part of various group lunches so while it's not the type of place that I would typically patron at, I can see how the food choices and prices are very palatable to a crowd. read more

I've eaten in the restaurant a few times and have also ordered out (via mobile m'aitre d). The restaurant is walkable from St. Boniface hospital. I've only eaten on the main floor but I do believe there is an upstairs, outdoor patio if the weather permits. Pasquale's makes reliably good italian food. The portions are very large so bring your appetite. There are a sizable number of entrees to choose from, and they also make thin crust pizza. Prices are pretty reasonable for a Winnipeg restaurant. Everytime I go to Pasquale's, the food and service has always been great. Definately recommended for a smaller restaurant feel. Some parking on the street. Limited parking in their rear parking lot. Oh yeah, they also have a private room for larger gatherings available. read more

Very cute place with excellent service. Sat on the roof top with a nice view of the street down below. I had fettuccini alfredo (12$) with some chicken (5$ extra) food was ok but so much sauce on pasta it kind of got gross at the end. Turtle cheese cake was very good though. This place has an adorable patio but if you're looking for good service, go somewhere else. I hadn't been here in a long time and decided to try the food and the most stand out thing was the cheese toast. I had a bad experience a few weeks ago and chalked it up to the server having a bad night, and decided to give it another shot. We had the same server, Courtney, both times and she rolled her eyes at us when we chose a table in the corner of the patio, and took fifteen minutes to bring us so much as a glass of water. My friend who is vegan and has a dairy allergy wanted to have pasta with just marinara , peppers and garlic and she was rude, pushed her into getting a plain spaghetti and when it came it had cheese on it even though multiple times throughout ordering she was told no cheese. The exact words were "what you don't like cheese?" The cheese toast is good, but not good enough to make up for the shoddy service and average entrees. read more

All in all a good place to meet and chat, the food and price were good as well. Made it by last night to meet another couple on the way to a play. We made reservations which proved to be a good idea, as it got very crowded by about 6:30. The bruschetta was really good, and the rest of the meal was good as well. Service was great! Fast, attentive and friendly...We really enjoyed the atmosphere as well. I got the Pollo Pasquale for $22.95...I was taken back by how little the portion was considering the price... My chicken was small, very salty and tasted like 'Frozen pre-seasoned chicken' that you could buy from supermarkets... The red pepper cream sauce was great and had a slight smokiness to it...Unfortunately it was not enough to make up the rest of the dish. My Fiancee got the large mediterranean pizza for $20 ($3.00 off large pizza's on Tuesdays at time of review) which we intended to share..she ate 2 pieces, I ate 1....Although the crust and cheese were both good - It was way too salty, we could not bring ourselves to eat more without feeling nauseous. The entire way home all we could taste was salt.... Aside from the atmosphere, the food seemed to have more of a slight Italian influence than actually being "Authentic" Unfortunately great service and atmosphere does not make up for poor food. I came here for dinner to eat the most awuful chicken of my life. It was still frozen and the texture - only way to describe it: rubber. I am certain they cooked a frozen breast because part of it was warm while the interior, cold as ice. It was taking way too long for the waitress to notice me, I had to physically hunt her down and ask her to bring me cooked food. No apologies were offered. When I said the chicken was still frozen, she just remarked "Oh really", took away my plate and came back10 minutes later. I would absolutely never eat there again. read more

My chicken parm was good but my wife's pasta had a strange flavor. I don't know anything about wine but it tasted fine to me. The place wasn't crowded and the music wasn't blaring but it was still loud. Be careful ordering desert! You get an actual piece, not a sliver like most places. 9 year later and this place still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Went there for date night with my husband as our first night out after having our third child...we were excited and going to try something new. Upon arriving we were told there was bit of a wait, after about half hour it was going to be our turn to be seated next and this group of 4 walk in that know the owner or manager, we hear him tell them don't worry we'll get you in...and sure enough they give them the next table! When my husband asks him about it he lies and says they had a reservation, we told him it was quite obvious by his conversation that they didn't. He got extremely defensive and told us to "take our coupon and get out of here" shouting! I still remember crossing the street to our car as he's standing at their door yelling at us to get out of there...I have never been so mistreated or offended to this day in any establishment. Did we have a coupon? Yes...did he know this? No...however being a young couple he tossed us out and belittled us in front of a crowd of people.
