Having a place to sit is obviously better. The availability of wine and beer is another obvious plus. Harder to quantify is the love put into the food. It was apparent when Meat & Go was in Kazimierz that they care deeply about what they do. At their new location at Dolnych Młynów the level of dedication seems to have gone up further. Just look at my photos: They print names of their sandwiches on their napkins. I mean, who does that? The pekefleisch and the porchetta are still the headline stars. New additions to the menu hold their own as well. The cow-tongue sandwich, in particular, is to die for. The Hungarian rib "sandwich" is supreme as well--if you don't mind eating with fork and knife. The only unimpressed addition is the goose sandwich. With the skin and a thin-layer of fat, the flesh of this bird just tastes like dry turkey. Dolnych Młynów is presently the trendiest part of Krkaow. If you're one of those people who like to stay ahead of the curve, a visit to the city definitely warrant spending a night or two here. And if you do and you're not a vegetarian, by all means grab a sandwich at Meat & Go. You won't regret it.

My Mexican bowl was so large I couldn't eat half of it. The place was clean, the server was friendly and I hope we have time to go again before we leave Krakow. It was just a great experience.

It came with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, whipped cottage cheese with spices, a piece Of fried cheese, fresh tomato wedges with a vinaigrette drizzle, and a Polish pretzel. Everything was delicious. If that weren't enough I ordered the Lemoncello waffle as well! Just WOW!! A crispy outside and soft fluffy inside with vanilla, lemon zest, and lemon infused whipped cream topped off this master piece. Every bit was a citric explosion with lime purée and fresh berries as a garnish, my tastebuds were in overdrive! Lastly, I had the BEST freaking Iced cafe mocha I have had since I got to Europe (18 days and counting) in between Vienna, Slovakia, Romania, I had to come to Poland to get a legit mocha. The customer service was also amazing! When you done have to look for your server, that is a good server. The ambiance was so relaxed and chill that even every table was full we were just as comfortable as we were when we were the only two people in the restaurant. Five freaking stars!

We managed to snag a nice outdoor table with a nice vibe with a couple of other restaurants around us all seating next to each other. Inside this place is adorable and so unique. The decor and colors and the art. Just a neat place. The food and drinks also on par with the ambiance. Service can be slow but we weren't in any hurry. We ordered a round of espresso martinis and my one friend had a sparkling Rosè. The martinis were a little milky looking which isn't my favorite but these tasted good and not to dairy forward. It had a little extra ingredients in it than your normal espresso martini. Which made it different too. Hazelnut vodka and amaretto. Worth a try. We tried the Brie and salad baguette and the berry cheesecake. Both of these were stellar and so good and fresh. Loaded with toppings on the baguette the Brie was nice and creamy. The tomatoes were delicious. The cheesecake was so crumbly and the compote on top was house made and very berry forward. All of it was just the perfect afternoon pick me up and we were so happy with the serving size and all the dressing up in the plate. So pretty. One of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. They make all their desserts in house I believe. They have some great looking ones displayed . Loved this place !

Every room is decorated with a different theme and color you get to pick where you want to sit. We chose a table in the very back - red walls with red velvet curtains, smocked glass mirrors and crystal chandeliers. This was the most beautifully decorated breakfast setting we have ever seen. The food was really delicious, too. We opted for a smocked salmon omelette, shakshooka and an order of Apple pancakes. Everything was truly amazing and had a local twist. This place was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Krakow. I also cannot say enough about the service- our waitress was absolutely delightful and amazing.

When we visited around noon, there were only two parties ahead of us, so the wait wasn't bad at all. We ordered the daily special, a chicken cordon bleu served with potatoes and a side of vegetables that tasted a bit like coleslaw. We also tried two kinds of fried pierogi: spinach and feta, and pickled cabbage with white mushrooms. It was my first time trying pierogi, and I really enjoyed them. They reminded me of dumplings, but were served with sour cream on the side, which added a nice touch. Ordering was very straightforward. You simply place your order at the counter, and the staff will bring the food to your table. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous.

The decor of this milk bar was by far the most inviting of the ones I've seen or visited on this trip. Even the menu stood out with the colorful handwritten blackboard. Staff were very friendly. I grabbed an open seat and shared a table with three others. Staff came over to deliver my utensils and quickly highlight the menu. I walked up to the counter to place my order and pay. I decided to get the daily special and deviated from the Polish cuisine I've been eating the whole time here. The mushroom soup was big and delicious with a strong mushroom flavor. The chicken curry was meaty and tasty sauce with fluffy basmati rice. Well worth visiting and I can see why this place was busy all day. .

This time, the place that I highly recommend is located on Plac Nowy in Kazimierz and is colloquially called "Okrąglak" due to the round shape of the building. The best for "Okrąglak" is in the evening/night, when munchies attack, or whenever you feel like having a snack. It's not a gourmet food, so be prepared, but the 'zapiekanka' will fill your belly in a satisfying way. My favorite 'zapiekanka' is a classic version, and it comes with just three ingredients: baguette, mushrooms and cheese, that's all. With a splash of ketchup and garlic sauce (sometimes), it's the perfect combination. There are many options of toppings to choose from. Everyone will find something which suits their preferences and appetite. Making the decision where to buy from your 'zapiekanka' could be overwhelming. In each window of the building there is a different kitchen/bar where food is sold. It's like a wheel of 'zapiekanki'. Of course, it's good to go where there is the longest line, but it doesn't work that way every time. We tried two places, 'Zapiekanki Bar Oko' and 'Zapiekanki Piecyk'. I know that you won't see a big difference between these two sandwiches in my photo, but the 'Piecyk' was definitely the runaway winner. It's all about the ratio of bread, mushrooms and cheese. It must be moist with a perfectly crispy outside baguette (not too crunchy), with gooey cheese and flavorful mushrooms with a hint of butter. The quality of ketchup is also very important. The legendary 'Endzior', which we skipped this time due to their long line, is also a must-try. For now, I'm voting for 'Piecyk' :). Also, you can buy just half 'zapiekanka', or ask for it to be cut in half to share. It's usually huge :).
