Was a bit apprehensive about trying this location as I've heard that it doesn't hold up to the original location. I was pleasantly surprised that the roast pork and press were both excellent and as delicious as I remember it. Juicy pork, great sauce, bread and overall flavor. This was the first time my wife had Paseo and she loved it. Really happy to have this location in Issaquah! We'll be back for sure. read more

I mean, I've loved Paseo since I discovered the Fremont one almost two decades ago. So when I found out there was a location near work in Sammamish, I was excited! I adore their fish sandwiches. Having said that, there are a TON of really yummy choices to pick from here. And they serve alcohol here, which I can't even tell ya how much I appreciated on the particularly hot day I came here. I had been craving a margarita that whole day and they delivered on fulfilling that. The ambience is intimate here, and they have some outdoor seating as well. Service was fast, as always. This is one of my casual favorites! read more

The good? The pork in the sandwich was pretty good. The not so good? If you like a TON of slimy grease in your sandwich you will LOVE this! Seriously, we all have different tastes but the amount of grease in our sandwich was unbelievable! read more

Smaller shop than it's Seattle one but plenty of parking outside, no lines really, and same quality of food. Got the #2 paseo press and Caribbean fries. Overall if you liked the one in Seattle you'll find this one easier, faster, and just as tasty. read more

I just picked this place randomly to get some food delivered. I eat mostly vegetarian and I chose the onion obsession sandwich. I wasn't really expecting much but was impressed after I tasted it. It was delicious, the flavors were spot on. The Sandwich was huge and priced right. I would definitely recommend this place and I am excited to try other things on the menu next time. read more

I've been to the longer standing locations in Seattle numerous times and always had great experiences. It doesn't feel great giving a bad review to the new location but I'm hoping management takes notice of feedback and makes adjustments. To echo a common theme in other reviews, something is off on the bread quality. Ordered 3 different sandwiches with 3 different proteins and they all had the same issue, as far as I could tell the bread was stale. Call out on the pork specifically - overcooked. Can't have that on your best selling sandwich. Maybe they're working out kinks, benefit of the doubt is the only reason I'm not giving 1 star. This is simply not up to the standard of Seattle Paseos. read more

I feel so sad saying this but I just spent $55 on three of the worst dishes. The paseo press was incredibly bready and dry, the nachos reminded me of movie theater nachos and the jambalaya rice tasted drenched of tomato sauce from the grocery store. Unsure if I've just moved on from paseo or if this specific location isn't up to par as the city ones but this meal bummed me out. The staff is VERY nice. Maybe it's opening week fluctuations. read more

Paseo - Caribbean Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

WOW!!! Has to be one of the best sandwich joints I've ever eaten at. Their sandwiches are amazing and reasonably priced $12-$17. The Caribbean Roast is SOO damn YUMMY!!! Best pork roast sandwich I've ever had. read more

Paseo - Caribbean roast sandwich yummy!!! - Caribbean Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

Was excited to try this for the first time. The sandwiches are heavy on the meat. Could only eat half which was disappointing since theyre pricey and dont reheat well. They were fine tasting. Not something I will return for. The kids fries had some kind of red pepper on them so i had to wipe each individually. Not pleasant to do after spending so much $$. read more

Muy confusa. Small place - Caribbean restaurant playing Mexican music... Like legit banda music. Caribbean fries are plain potatoes... Explained yuca 3 times and the attendant seemed very confused and just kept trying to add items to the order instead of explaining the ingredients. Seating is Minimal, staff eating in the lobby on their break; 3 outdoor picnic tables (all full) with people waiting for takeout. Tostones have old spice seasoning on them and are served with a chipotle mayo sauce... ? Ordered the red plate with shrimp and it was unusually spicy for Caribbean food. Just seemed to be a bit more of a fusion Mexican joint. Prefer the location in SoDo. read more

The star of this place is their sandwiches. So good! They're loaded with meat, making them filling and easy to share with another person. Don't skip the corn! I hesitated due to price but would get it again every time now. Their Italian sodas are delicious and while I didn't want to share, I shared with my kids and they each requested their own next time. The store has a treasure box for kids to select a toy from. This occupies them while you order and also keeps them entertained as you wait for food. I love that they do this! read more

Everything was reallyyy good. I tried the Caribbean plato with pulled pork and was delicious, the pork was tender, juicy and flavorful. The beans were also the same, very good. The worker are very kind and friendly, they do a very good job and the food didn't take to much time. VERY RECOMMENDED read more

Service was quick but minutes after us it started picking up pretty heavily. My bf really likes Paseo's, I on the other hand wasn't too much of a fan of how sweet the sandwich was. read more

Paseo - Chicken sandwich, roasted corn, and fries - Caribbean Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

Paseo is our go to for Caribbean food, they have the best Caribbean sandwich ever! With pork and Walla Walla onions. But we also really like their bowls, they are huge and you can share them easily for dinner with some tortilla chips. Highly recommend, very reasonably priced. read more

After months of anticipation, finally!! Paseo has opened & it did not disappoint. Tasty & unique food options are severely lacking on the Eastside & I am so happy to have this option now just a few mins drive from our house. We opted out of going on the day of the grand opening celebration & decided to go the day after. Still pretty busy but we were in & out within 45 mins or so. The food was tasty & for their 2nd day open, I give them major props for not only the speed in getting the food out but the quality as well. Hoping we can find a similar place near Sacramento! read more

Paseo - #1 Famous Caribbean roast sandwich - Caribbean Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

This new Issaquah location is fantastic! Note there is limited seating inside. While a sandwich is usually my go-to, I branched out and tried both the bowl and salad (not at one time, they are huge) because I was aiming for lower carb options. They were fantastic! I didn't miss the bread at all, almost. Check it out! read more

Their food is really good. And the service is great I love the Paseo press. And the roasted corn. read more

Fast, consistent, delicious sandwiches. I love that there's ample parking and it's easy to get to. We have always loved paseos and this location does not disappoint! They can be an expensive sandwich but it feels like a whole meal, If not, 2? Haha also love the macrina bread they use chewy delicious and so good with soaking in all the flavors without disintegrating! read more

Ambiance is good but the food isn't that tasty. We ordered sandwiches and ended in disappointment - Grilled Chicken Breast and Ham & Cheese. The service was fine. read more

Tried the sandwiches here. It was dense with meat. We got the #1 and #2. Got an offer for the Yucca fries too.

We decided to give this location another try, and I'm glad we did because our experience this time was great! We didn't come during happy hour, but the food was delicious as always. I always love how quickly the food comes out and how clean the place is. Service was great, and the Halloween decoration they had up was really cute too! All in all, it was a great experience and I really appreciated how the owner Aly reached out to make up for the service miss we experienced last time. Highly recommend this place! read more

Paseo - Yuca fries and Caribbean Quesadilla! - Caribbean Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

I first visited Paseo's 1st location in Seattle, when we were seeing a show at SODO's Showbox. They have incredible sandwiches. Was very excited that they opened a location in Eastside. Just like the location in Seattle, the Issaquah location, while smaller, is just as delicious. Highly recommend grabbing a sandwich with your SO, and heading to the boat launch down the street where you can park with lake views while you eat. 5/5 delicious! read more

Awesome sandwich and Bowl. Feed us two meals each and the food was absolutely delicious.

Yes I agree with the other reviewers. I bought the normal Caribbean roasted pork and the bread wasn't even toasted at all. Very disappointed. It also lacked the garlic aioli. If they were to toast the bread it would be much much better. read more

Hoping to love it ! Very mediocre food.... The temperature of food is hot which is very disappointing... you can tell the fries are fry in old oil. Service is great, thats about it. read more

So a bit disappointed. Well let's say very disappointed. Food is no good. I am familiar with the original which was way better. But my wife hates wet sandwiches. I asked the clerk if it was wet for the pork sandwich, she said no and it turned out to be wet. She also said the yuca fries is the same as potato fries which was wrong as well. My west Caribbean dish was sad. The pork was good for sure, but the beans and rice and cheese was you can tell canned and processed. Pretty much tasted like baseball park nachos with rice. Btw the bread on the sandwiches are super thick. Not good for folks trying to avoid cards/sugar. Not gonna come back read more

This place is now our go to breakfast location in Issaquah because the breakfast sandwiches are amazing!! It's one of the big selling points of this place that they have breakfast sandwiches as I don't believe the other locations do - please keep them, they are wonderful!! read more

During Summer 2022 after work, I went to Paseo with three other coworkers. I found this out from my co-worker who said that this sandwich shop just opened in Issaquah a little more than a week ago. It was very busy during that time. I recalled the waiting time to be around 20-30 mins and we were fortunate to find seating because it was packed inside with people and some even waited outside in 85+ degree weather. Though most people recommended the Famous Caribbean Roast, I picked the Paseo Press instead and I had no regrets. It's rare for a sandwich to get me loving it from the first bite alone. So many flavors hitting your tongue all at once. The breading is alright despite its massive serving size and it is quite pricey for a sandwich. Definitely have napkins ready as it can fall apart easily due to the amount of ingredients packed into a sandwich. I came back for a second time with another co-worker during lunch in September 2022 to try out the Famous Caribbean Roast and that was a hit too! If you are ever in the Issaquah area and never tried Caribbean sandwiches before, this is the shop to visit! read more

Paseo - Paseo Press (Roasted pork shoulder, smoked ham, banana peppers, fresh cilantro, caramelized onions, and melted Swiss cheese) - Caribbean Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

Not sure if it is the "best sandwich in the USA" as they advertise but it's definitely one of the better ones and maybe #2 in Seattle behind the tatstrami at Tats deli. The corn and their fries are really good too. Very solid choice if you are looking for a gut bomb kind of lunch. read more

SO happy Paseo opened on the Eastside. The food was amazing as always. Staff and owners were very friendly!

Happy this place finally opened! Things were a little rough during the grand opening but they seem to have ironed out the kinks (including the bread issues other reviewers have mentioned). Get there and have an onion obsession or shrimp sando! read more

Amazing food! Great staff, very friendly and prompt. Chicken thighs were amazing, I had the bowl and the wife had the chicken salad. Large portions and very reasonable prices! The wings are great as well! read more

Delicious in many ways. If you like the Mexi Cuban food truck this place is a must go. We will be back.

Wow! for the $$ price we paid for their chix breast carribean plate, this is the very small amount of chicken you get and dry! Looks like they cut the chix breast in half and thats what you get. Quality/taste and quantity is not the Paseo we used to love. Will go back to the SODO branch as they are at least consistent. Epic fail Issaquah branch... Boo! read more

Paseo - Caribbean Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

Got real happy when I found out this place was opening up on the east side but sadly to say I was not impressed. I always order the Cuban roast sandwich and extra onions. I figured the portion price and quality would be the same as the original location but I was clearly wrong. This location uses different baguette/bread for their sandwiches since it's definitely smaller. I would rather drive to the Fremont location if I want a sandwich. They will have to up their sandwich if they want stay open. read more

Seattle Paseo was incredible, this place was incredibly disgusting. The sandwich 1/10 of what the Seattle place was. At least the service was bad! read more

I had to walk in and ask if this was the same paseo as the ones in Seattle. Thought it was too good to be true. Food gods have blessed the eastside! Got the Caribbean roast, jambalaya, 3 Caribbean plates with chicken thigh and pork. Just as good as the city! read more

The food was decent. Quality is not what I have had there in the past, though. The service was pretty poor.
