With fear in mind we called B &B Home Improvements and Botar (the Owner) answered the phone and said he would come the following the day to give us a Free estimate and if we liked his price and we liked him he would go ahead with the work. He came by this morning and gave us some great advice for the trim we had bought for him to install. He suggested that we go a little bigger because it would look a lot better once everything including the carpet was put in. He measured everything out in a matter of minutes and gave us a great estimate. We were still hesitant but had a good vibe from Botar and really appreciated his professional opinion. After all, he was not making any money on the materials. So we took him up on his estimate, he said he would get the work done by 8PM the same day! He also took my boyfriend to pick up the bigger pieces of material since we did not have a truck and had rented one the day before to transport the materials. Normally any contractor would charge you extra for this but he did not. He had another worker show up (Aidee) and he was such a nice person and he got right to work while they ran to Home Depot to pick new materials up. Before we knew it the work was all done at approximately 3:00PM including his clean up work and vacuuming. The trim work looks so great that we KNOW we will be calling Botar and his crew back to do much more work on our first home. Good to know there is still quality, honest and hard working contractors out there. I would recommend B&B to any family and friends and to any of you! Their prices are unbeatable too!

Baatar provided so much valuable feedback along the way and some of his suggestions I am still so grateful for to this day, such as cabinet suggestions, flooring details, location for outlets and light fixtures, materials to use and not use, etc. etc.  We came to rely on his expertise and it served us well.  Baatar and his team focus on one project at a time and they do not subcontract, this was important to us.  I highly recommend B&B Quality Home Improvement!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Lofft Construction was recommended to us by some neighborhood…read morefriends. Alex came to our house and gave us an estimate to repair our front steps and told us they would last a very long time. A few days later, his workers showed up, unannounced, asking what they needed to do. I told them I have no idea, and my husband is not home, and to coordinate a time with him. A few days later (on a Sunday), they showed up unannounced again! My husband was out again! They asked me to pick a paint color and I asked if that is included in the price we were quoted and they said they didn't know. As I was trying to figure that out, it came out that they don't think repairing the stairs is a good idea and they can't even guarantee they won't break again for even 3 days. I asked if it would be a lot more expensive to redo the whole thing and they said it would be exponentially more expensive. I told them we'll talk to Alex and get back to them. 30 minutes later, Alex calls my husband screaming at him! He told him that we shouldn't ask his contractors about prices and that he doesn't work that way and that we should find someone else to work with and hung up the phone on my husband! He was literally screaming at my husband on the phone. And then hung up on him. There are so many issues with our experience starting with the fact that the workers kept showing up without prior notice and asking a lot of questions as if they didn't know what they were supposed to be doing. And then of course the fact that he was trying to scam us into doing something that he knew might not even last the week. And then finally, calling my husband and screaming at him and hanging up on him because his workers were asking us a lot of questions?! It's just been an atrocious experience. I recommend avoiding him at all costs. UPDATE: Alex is now threatening my husband over text messages because of our review. We are just stating facts. He said we are inappropriate to contact him on a Sunday when it was his contractors who showed up at our doorstep, unannounced, on a Sunday, and we were just calling to clear things up with him because they had no idea what they were supposed to do and were asking me a lot of questions. He also accused us of trying to strike a deal with his subcontractors, something that didn't cross our minds for one second. We were just trying to figure out if the paint his contractors were making me choose was included in the estimate he provided us.

The project managers, Starlyn and Kenia, were both fantastic -- super responsive, organized, and just a joy to work with. We texted and called throughout the process and they always made sure everything was on track. The crew was awesome -- very respectful, clean, and clearly proud of their work. They finished ahead of schedule and the quality blew us away. It's so rare to find a remodeling team that delivers this level of professionalism, craftsmanship, and genuine care. Let me first start by saying if you are looking for a company to do a remodeling project, large or…read moresmall, we highly recommend calling Langley Remodeling. We had an excellent experience from start to finish. We moved into our home nearly 9 years ago with a completely unfinished basement, and we were ready to build our dream basement. We first contacted a contractor that we had previously used and whose work we were happy with but as circumstances would have it and several months later with no progress, we parted ways with him and began our search for someone new. After scouring the internet and reading multiple reviews, we decided on our top 3 companies to interview. In the end, we decided on Langley, and we are so happy we chose them. From the very beginning, you feel like a valued customer. They responded promptly to my initial inquiry and later that evening we were talking to UE, the president of the company, about our project. UE was very friendly, patient, and transparent about how their company works and explained in detail their process from the design to the construction. We knew what we wanted in our basement, but it was the design where we most needed direction. When UE first came out to our house, he spent more time than any of the other contractors we had interviewed going over our project and taking measurements, photos and video of our basement. He promised one of his designers would be contacting us in a couple of weeks because they were finishing up other projects; however, Pinar, our designer, reached out to us within a week and immediately guided us, inquiring about our interests and style. She gave suggestions on how best to communicate our interests like sending her pictures and/or setting up a Pinterest board, which worked well for us. Throughout the design process, Pinar was patient, creative, and a pleasure to work with. If we had different thoughts about her rendering, she would be open to our ideas and would incorporate them into her design. Construction began very soon after we agreed on the design and contract details. Our project manager Starlyn and assistant project manager Kenia were very professional and pleasures to work with. Starlyn was very patient with us and was at our job site practically every day making sure progress was moving along. As first-time customers and since the project was quite large, we were naturally a bit stressed about how things would go, but Starlyn was patient and understanding, and he would address all our questions or concerns as they came up. All the construction workers were Langley employees from the carpenters, plumbers, painters and electricians. We really did not interact with them too much but when we did, they too were very polite and professional. At the end of every day, my wife and I would look at the progress, and we could tell they were very skilled due to the quality in the craftsmanship. I could keep going about how excellent our experience with Langley was, but I will let the photos of our project do the talking. Again, if you are looking for a contractor for your home improvement project, we highly recommend Langley!

My husband and I used Potomac Kitchen and Bath for our condo's kitchen renovation in summer 2021…read moreand waited a while to write this review because we wanted some time to reflect on our experience with the company. When we first contacted Mustafa, he was helpful in getting us an estimate and renderings of the proposed kitchen. He answered all our questions, the price was reasonable, and the project started as scheduled, which we appreciated in a time when so many things were back ordered. Harb, our project manager, was just okay. In my mind two of the most important qualities of a PM are communication and quality oversight. Harb's communication was acceptable most of the time but I felt that he really lacked the capacity for proper oversight and ensuring that the quality of the work was acceptable. We often had to point things out to him that he should have seen (e.g. fridge off balance, big noticeable seams in the crown molding, cabinet doors that banged into walls, etc). He was rarely on site and when he was here it was for less than 5 minutes to collect a check. Ultimately what really left a bad taste in our mouth was when one of the cabinet fronts (on the garbage can slider) broke after only a week or two of normal use. We contacted Mustafa/Harb who sent someone to "fix" it and his solution was to add a Velcro sticker to the cabinet instead of actually properly securing the sliding drawer with screws and hardware. Needless to say the cabinet broke immediately and when I contacted the company again they completely ghosted us. Never returned phone calls, emails, or text messages. I think if Potomac had come and properly fixed the cabinet, or at the very least returned our messages, I would have given them a 3.5 star review but this issue really left us upset and worried about the overall quality of the project. We won't be recommending this company to friends or neighbors.
