I used Party Pronto for my son's 2nd birthday party at a park nearby. I contracted them from 10am-4pm paid a hefty price $450 for a basic jumper (with a dinosaur banner) and a snow cone machine. I get a call the day before saying they want to come at 9:30am to set up. I had told them that was impossible for me since I have two young kids and I couldn't get there that early. However I can meet them at 10am. The person I spoke to says he'll do his best. Our party didn't start until 11am and I purposely contracted them an hour before for any delays that may happen because I'm a reasonable human being and I know things can be late. The crew doesn't arrive until past noon, which is 2 hours past the start time that we signed off on. I call that day and try to speak to someone and they said they'll take care of this on Monday. So I call them back today, I get connected to the person who tried to schedule me for an earlier set up time and he talks to me in a condescending voice saying he tried to come earlier. And to be honest, had he talked to me in a better tone, I wouldn't have been as upset. Then he proceeds to argue with me stating that they were only an hour late because my party started at 11am. I argue and tell him it doesn't matter when my party start time was, what matters is that I contracted them for a 10am start time so they're actually 2 hours late. Then he says they have a 4 hour drop off window (per the contract) and that they made it within that time. So you're telling me, they could have come at 2pm to set up and I should just be okay with it? What kind of bs is that? I will add that they "accommodated" an earlier pickup time, they came at 3:30pm instead of 4pm. Even though we called around 2pm for an earlier pick up. He calculated the "one hour late" and that they "accommodated" an earlier pickup and said he would refund a hour back ($86). To be honest, I'm really not upset about the money, but the fact that he was arguing that my party started at 11am even though my contract start time was 10am....so he was "only" an hour late... and kept arguing that he had a 4 hour block of drop off time... per the contract but wouldn't acknowledge that my start time was 10am per the contract.... In conclusion, if he apologized and was nice about this whole situation, I wouldn't have been so adamant about some kind of a refund. But he was condescending and he was like "so what do you want from us?" Like no... that's not how you run a business and talk to a customer when you were actually late. I will also add that I did get upset and the more he tried to "talk me down" the more upset I got because of his tone of voice and how condescending he was. Professionalism is key to a successful business... I have been a huge fan of Party Pronto because of the different options they have. BUT now...this business will NO longer be an option for me. I had ordered a 5-1 Tinkerbell Jumper combo (very cute jumper by the way!), chairs and popcorn machine for my daughter's 1st birthday. The day before my event I called and spoke with Issac about my delivery time. Now I was told that delivery time would be between 11 and 12. He asked if that was fine and I said yes; it perfect. Since the party didn't start until 1. Come the day of my event; I was told that the jumper people are 10 minutes away...now that's perfectly fine that they called me...BUT they called around 10am leaving me a message that they were 10 minutes away. So I rushed and called them back to let them know I wasn't there yet and was told that the delivery wouldn't be there until 11am. When I called I was transferred over to what I believe was the dispatch department so they can inform the driver that I wasn't there yet...(I wish I would have received his name) but the dispatcher was VERY RUDE! I politely expressed that I was not at the park yet and was told that delivery would be between 11am-12pm. He rudely told me... 1. That I need to just hurry and get there 2. He wasn't going to be 10 deliveries behind because of me. And lastly... 3. That if I'm not there they are going to leave and just refund me back my deposit. Now...I don't know if HE (the dispatcher) was having a bad day. I don't really know...but for this to be my daughter's 1st birthday and I wake up in a great mood. He really ruined my morning with his sour attitude. I would have NEVER told a client (from a business stand point) that paid 50% of a deposit already to my company; that I will give them a refund on the day of their event because of a miscommunication with THEIR staff. The miscommunication didn't lie with me...I called the day before to confirm delivery time. The miscommunication was between the staff; and this dispatcher was just about to ruin my daughter's party (with a snap). Just because I wasn't there when he wanted me to be. Had I known delivery would have been at 10; I would have definitely been there in a timely manner. Once I FIRMLY expressed that I called the day before and spoke with Issac to confirm delivery time his (the dispatcher) tone of voice completely changed and he apologize for the unprofessionalism. All this rudeness could have been avoided with just one simple question..."well ma'am, did anyone confirm with you delivery time?" and I would have said "yes". But that's not what happen... This company needs to do a better job with professionalism and treating clients just a little bit more respectfully. Especially if you have already taken their money. Had I not put down a deposit and he told me they will leave...then that would be a little more understanding and acceptable. They also need to have a better ETA with deliveries as well as communication with staff and dispatchers. I will be renting now from Party On Rentals. Thank you party pronto for all the great years we had; but it's come to end and I will NOT be ordering from you anymore. I use to help promote this business and that will now cease. Worst party company I've ever encountered in 15 years! It was my first time going with them because the place I usually go to was booked. The lady on the phone who I place the order with was rude from the start and cut me off quite a few times. I told her what time I would be home since we had a prior engagement that morning and she said the jumper would be delivered when I was home. I called when I was home and they kept saying the jumper would be here soon. The jumper didn't end up coming till almost 4 hours later and all of the kids for the party or waiting for it. I was told by the lady that I would have the jumper a full day/24 hours and they would pick it up the next day. They came to pick it up before the 24 hours was up and I asked to speak to the supervisor or the owner. Before I could even explain my situation he cut me off numerous times and got loud with me. He implied that I was lying about the situation which I was not and after not being able to get a word and I told him I wouldn't use him again. He said that he was just gonna take the jumper then even though he said he would leave it until 2 PM because he had NO INVESTMENT IN ME SINCE I WAS NOT GOING TO BE A RETURNING CUSTOMER! What!?!? No wonder why he was the only company that wasn't booked, probably because he is a terrible businessman with terrible customer service skills and he doesn't have many returning customers! He was the fourth company I called because the other three were booked for a weekday! That should've been a red flag for me but it wasn't. I actually had lots of parents and neighbors drive-by and asked me about the jumper and I gave them their info but I will be texting them all asap back to let them know to never use you guys either. I used this company to rent a popcorn machine, a hot dog machine, and a jumper for toddlers for my daughters first birthday. They were very professional, came in a timely manner, and all the supplies were very clean and in excellent condition. We had a problem with the hot dog machine. I called them and they came less than ten minutes later to assess the problem. They told me on the phone that if they couldn't fix it, they had another hot dog machine to leave just in case. They came over, fixed the issue, they were extremely pleasant and diligent and I loved working with them. Are they the cheapest company out there? On 3/17/22, I ordered a jumper/slide combo from Party Pronto. Upon placing my order, I disclosed to Steven that I had stairs to my property. Steven asked me how many stairs and acknowledged it by stating "that shouldn't be a problem." I later received an invoice that showed a $75 delivery fee. Three days prior to my event, on April 11th, Steven left me a voicemail stating that he looked at my property on Google Earth and saw the stairs to my property. His exact words were, "Steps you did not disclose to us." When I called him back to let him know that I did in fact disclose that information and that if their calls were recorded, he should listen to the recording to confirm. He stated he refuses to deliver the jumper unless I pay an extra $100 for a total of ten steps. I asked if he can lower the price, but he stated he's delivery team would need 6 hours total to do the trip when they are located in Arcadia and I am located in Glendale! He also stated, "Magic Jump is right across from your house, I will be happy to give you a refund and you can book with them." These comments were absolutely unnecessary! It was his responsibility to confirm my home on Google Earth ahead of time and be attentive to ALL info customers disclose rather than accusing them of not disclosing significant information. Do not use this company!! We payed for a package that included a jumper, tables, chairs and a FACE PAINTER for 2 hours. I signed a contract and paid the entire amount prior to the party. Although the jumper, tables and chairs arrived, they never sent the face painter. I called several times the day of the party and emailed with NO RESPONSE! Look elsewhere!!! I was incredibly disappointed with Party Pronto. I rented a large helium tank that I was told would fill about 150 9" balloons and paid $69 total. Putting down the deposit and picking up the tank on the day of the event went smoothly. However after bringing the tank to the location of my event for set up, I barley able to fill up 10 balloons. I checked to make sure that I was using the tank correctly, and was still unable to get anymore helium from it. The following day I took the helium tank back to return it and let the two people at the front desk know that I was only able to blow up 10 balloons out of the 150 balloons I was told. They had the manager come out to talk to me and check the tank to find that there was indeed no helium inside. The manager told me that I should have called during the set up of my event so that they could get a time stamp and maybe could have done something at the time. (As if I would think to do so in the jumble of trying to prepare for an event.) I didn't expect a full refund but was expecting them to offer something. The manager eventually said that he could give me a $25 gift certificate but that it would only be good for rentals. Long story short, I was disappointed in their customer service. The attitude received was unnecessary and as a business trying to please there customers, they should have offered more than the $25 certificate. I would have walked away much happier had they given me back only $25 in cash. The certificate is useless to me as I will never be relying on their services nor would I recommend them to anyone. I'm in the event planning business and have worked with my share of venues. I have never felt with a business that was so unprofessional. With less than a week before Independence Day, I was in need for a table and some chairs to accommodate more people than anticipated for our BBQ. With one phone call, I was able to get the Table and Chairs needed at a surprisingly low rate as long as I picked it up myself. Since they are about 2 miles away from my house it was not an issue whatsoever to fit a 6 foot table and 12 chairs in my car. OMG best pinatas EVER!! I have had two custom pinatas made for two different parties. I dealt with them almost completely over email which made it very easy and convenient for me, I sent them pictures of what I wanted and both times they made the most amazing pinatas for me! One was a custom Brobee pinata and the other was a cardsman from Alice in Wonderland. The same day we were having our Yo Gabba Gabba party at the park somebody else was also having one and ALSO had a Brobee pinata and wow, what a difference there was in the quality. Ours rocked! It was huge, like 3 and a half or 4 feet tall and it was made very sturdy. It lasted through all the younger kids and held up very well which the older ones were going at it. The cardsman was equally awesome although didn't last quite as long, it still lasted until the older kids started hitting it. Selection is good, service is always top notch, and prices are fair...but most of all, they are dependable, which you can't put a price on! How it all started...about 7 years ago, in the hopes of saving money for our daughter's birthday party, we decided to canvas craigslist and give a jumper company a try. Found what seemed to be a reputable business, and made arrangements with the owner. We reserved 2 large inflatable water slides, and a variety of concessions. Long story short, big mistake. The company we hired canceled morning of the party. What were we to do?! We expected over 30 kids and a total of 50-60 people, all hoping for great water play. Count down was now about 2 hours before the start of the party, and we found/contacted Party Pronto. They heard our predicament, and came through in the biggest way possible. They made arrangements to hustle over a crew with the 2 inflatable water slides we needed, got everything setup, and with an hour to spare. Talk about a close call! Luis and team were the heroes of the day! Our daughter, her friends, and all the big kids at heart had the greatest time. To date, it's still her most memorable birthday party.
