We have used First stop Party Rentals for many of our office events. They are always available, on time and friendly. At our most recent party Thursday, I felt bad because I kept calling, asking how much things were and asking if it was ok if we added three tall cocktail tables for the grass at our party. They were super nice and accommodating, even though I would have been exasperated if the situations were reversed, adding things on last minute. They didn't mind at all and didn't give me a smidgeon of attitude! THEN I had to call them again because my work decided they wanted a bar as well and same thing, so helpful and friendly, no attitude, and accommodated us totally, even though it was last-minute. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! Extremely dissatisfied with this company's service and quality of products!! All the tables I got were cracked and broken. One table had a broken hinge and another had blue duct tape on top that showed through the white linens that were used. The umbrellas were dirty inside and out and 2 of the 4 umbrellas were not complete and missing their tops. Plus 2 of the 4 umbrellas still had decorations tied to them from their previous use!! Which goes to show that they do not check their products before they rent them out again. All the legs of the chairs were poor quality and severely scuffed as well. When we called to them know John was not helpful. My party was starting early the next day so there was no time to have new equipment delivered! He tried to make it sound like it was my fault because I did not have his company set up the tables and chairs. I am very capable of the set and did it when I was able too. But what he and his company should have made sure was that the quality of their products they delivered were not broken, cracked or in poor condition. He said he would get back to me the day of the party because he needed to talk to the owner to see what they could do for compensation. He didn't not return my call, text or email. He said they can only take off 25%. Which I feel is poor customer service. I was referred to them by a friend and read good reviews, but now I know their pricing was so low and beat out other rentals because their quality of products is complete and utter CRAP!!! If you're looking for good service and rentals DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! spend the extra couple of dollars and rent from someone else with trusted products and services!! Called around to different places to get quotes and this was by far the best place I found. The website lists all prices so there is no surprises and they were the cheapest place around Eagle Rock. Granted I did call and no one answered (phone doesn't take voicemails), but they called me back within 24 hours. John explained I could fill out the form online and pay over the phone. I never had to go in and see anything. The website has good photos of all equipment and what I received was just as good quality. John informed me that I could make changes to my order (as late as the day before), except to the linens, which they get from a third party vendor. This made me feel confident about what I was ordering. All in all I paid $117 for: 6-6' tables, 8-8' linens (I had two tables at home already), 30 plastic white folding chairs, delivery and set up and tear down. They showed up when they said they would, and knowing it was a surprise party--John went the extra mile to make sure my hubby was gone before he delivered--which i thought was a nice touch! This is my second encounter with this company. The first time went really not so good, but they recently stated they made some improvements to the way they do things. I decided to give them a second shot. I have seen a marked improvement. It seems most of the time you will need to leave a message. The voicemail was clear to receive messages. John called back quickly. Ordering, and pick up were timely. The only down side is that my pickup time was to be between 9 and 11, then I got a text saying 1230. I had the day off so no biggie, but I can see it being a problem if you need things to happen timely. Overall, marked improvement. I would consider them in the future. read more

I hired First Stop Party Rental for my 50th birthday and on the day of the scheduled delivery I received this email from Ashely Rizo: "It is our greatest regret to inform you that we will be cancelling our contract with your event due to a accident that occurred last night. You will be given a refund of any deposit that was made delivered to the mailing address that was provided."
