CHARGED ME TOO MUCH!! $60 dollars for the nails on the picture! I asked for a flower,gems and glitters (shown in 2nd pic) exactly like that, and she said she can do it for $65 dollars but the flower will be a different though than the picture so I agree and we asked a bunch of times about the bling just to make sure i'll have the same in the picture and she said yes, she even gave us a discount saying "okay i'll do it for $60 instead, you know I used to work at walmart and they will charge you for $80 for whatever you're asking" I really thought I'll get a good deal because i'm asking for a 3d design, some gems and glitters nails but NO! they look so different, she put only two blings on my ring finger which we ask if she's going to put more, and she told us we're gonna have to pay $10 more for it, which is we thought we agreed to a $60 with everything in the picture, (just the flower will be different ) I even thought she's going to put a 3d flower but different design, didnt think that she's only gonna do it with nail polish.. plus the silver glitter doesn't even show much! whatever she did with my nails, i'm pretty sure the one from walmart can do better and for sure cheaper like $45 because the last time my sister had her nails at walmart for $45 (it was pretty with lots of blings) we just really didn't want to argue with her especially when we explaining her that it's not like in the picture (her eyes rolled like she was annoyed of us asking the same thing about the bling) we just didn't wanna ruined our day (sister bonding time) but my sister enjoyed her pedicure (the guy did her nails) she was satisfied, i'm not! this is not worth $65 and not even $60!! will not come back here anymore or at least try a different worker, not with her (Cathy Aguilar) read more

Last week I made an appointment with Adam for a gel mani/pedi at 1 today. I showed up right on time and was told he was not there. After a few minutes Ava came over and told me he was not in and wouldn't be coming in. She asked if it was ok if another girl did my nails. Moved to Reno recently and I have gone to Party Nails 3 times so far and all was well until this morning. I had a 9:30am appointment but was running late. They called me at 9:40 and I apologized and let them know I was a few blocks away. I arrived at 9:45am and was seated right away. A few minutes after my nail technician started my nails she let me know that the owner wanted me to know that I need to phone and let them know if I am going to be late or they may not be able to take me. I let her know that I could understand that, but to let the owner know that I would not be back. That she had her employee tell me this I felt was way out of line and unprofessional. My last appointment there was at noon and they didn't take me until 12:15, and I didn't make a fuss. I realized that stuff happens and they were running behind. Not the end of the world. But when it was me running late I guess that's a different story. It's really too bad, because I really liked her employee Leslie who did a great job the last two times, and her sister did my nails today and did a nice job as well. The other crazy thing was that the owners husband was telling another client that he kicks out at least one customer a week. Got my nails done here for the first time and Kat serviced me and did a wonderful job! I came in with my own polish I wanted to use but I also wanted a gel clear coat on top, but Kat had to explain to me that they wouldn't stick! It had to be paint on paint or gel on gel. I love that she taught me something I didn't know! I obviously don't get my nails done often :D So she found me a similar colour and offered some decoration options. Decided to goto Party Nails for the first time with my best friend. Paid $45 for the worst set of acrylics I've ever gotten, very disappointed with how they turned out. The lady working on my best friend cut her finger and refused to finish her nail. The nail stylist then proceeded to tell her to lie to the boss if the boss asked what happened so she wouldn't loose her job. She payed $30 and left without polish on one of her nails. We called back to explain what happened to the manager and he didn't seem to care. Wouldn't recommended coming back. read more

Here's the good: I was a walk-in and was able to be accommodated very promptly. Also my French gel manicure was nice. Not the greatest I've had but pretty enough. Here's the bad: I asked the price for a gel manicure upon arrival and was told $30. I sat down and expressed that I wanted a French manicure. The same person who told me $30 was the person who did my nails. However, at the end of the manicure she told me it was $35 because I wanted a French manicure. Why didn't she tell me that at the time I had asked for a French manicure? Since I don't like to stiff folks in the service industry, I paid the $35. In fact, I paid $40 with the tip. But I won't go back again and I can't give them a very positive review. NOTE: I feel compelled to reduce my review to one star due to the highly unprofessional response I received from the owner/manager of the salon. read more

Very friendly staff and made all 5 of us that went together for pedi's feel comfortable and were joking around with us the whole time. I do have to say I wasn't super pleased with the pricing and services given. They gave all 5 of us different prices when we checked out and we all had the same things done... We were all trying to figure out their pricing and why we were all charged different amounts. Not only that but I also had a shellac manicure here and within a few ***days*** my manicure was lifting around the edges already and snagging on things! I have had shellac manicures at other salons and have never had the whole thing peel off my nail in one piece after only a few days. First, the gal CUT one of our toes that would not stop bleeding, then second, they pulled that trick, sit here and dry your toes and we will be right with you. I came in today as a walk in for my daughter and myself. We were greeted right away. The gentleman that helped me was Adam, the owner. The environment of the salon was amazing and relaxing. Adam gave me the colors for the shellac polish and it was nice not feeling rushed to pick a color out. My daughter got regular polish and asked Adam if what she picked out would go good together. He was so sweet and nice to her. Adam and I started talking and he is such an amazing man and owner. The salon was so clean and the nail equipment he used was clean and sterilized. You actually don't see a lot of salons open a fresh pack of nail utensils. The lady who did my daughter nails( I wish I would have asked her name) was so sweet and amazing to my daughter. This is the first salon that I have gone to where I felt like they truly care about you as a person and want to know their clients. Unlike other salons where they just want to get your money and pack the salon full. I HIGHLY recommend Party nails to EVERYONE. You won't be disappointed. I cannot wait to come back. Some of the staff are better than others, I went in with a friend to get mani/pedis. The guy who did hers was very kind and personal. Ava, the lady who did mine, made comments about my nails being short. I thought she was joking until she kept whispering under her breath about how they were too short, which doesn't seem professional at all. I don't think I got the full service from her either. My friend started before me but was done after me for both the manicure and pedicure portion. For some reason, after she finished my toes and had me soak my hands, she made me pay for the service and requested a tip before she had even finished what she was supposed to while my friend didn't have to pay until the end. Although I personally had a bad experience, my friend had a great one. I might go there again but definitely not with Ava. read more

BUYER BEWARE! ZERO STARS 2 Thumbs down I had my first gel manicure done on a Saturday. By the very next day it had already chipped and my nails for jagged. I called the owner to schedule my first available time to come in which was the following Wednesday and it took the manicurist 2 hours to redo my gel manicure. That manicure has managed to last me all of 4 days before it also began to chip and my nails became jagged from her lack offiling skills. I decided the first time shame on them the second time shame on me. I proceeded to go back in to get a refund because I wasn't going to continue wasting my time going in there when what I'm really looking for is a nice gel polish manicure that lasts 2 weeks like most of them do...(that's why people get gel polish manicures so they don't have to deal with going and getting them done every week) The last thing I wanted to do was have to go back in there again and give them another chance to redo it and have it not be right, I just wanted to refund. I was informed that they do not give refunds, then the owner told me to get the f*** out of his store and called me a b****. Apparently it's not okay to question his store policy on refunds or try to explain that you're not interested in having your nails redone because you've already given them two chances at it already. Obviously they have zero customer service and zero customer satisfaction in this store and all I can say is with all of the other nail places in town, don't waste your time energy or dignity going into this garbage salon. Just one added note, I am absolutely positive that they must do some type of thinning of their gel polishes because I have never been anywhere where my gel polish chipped before 10 days. My daughter is a manicurist in another state and she told me that's exactly what they must be doing because gel polish is not going to chip after one day or after 4 days unless the store is watering down or thinning the polishes in some way. read more

I rarely get my nails done, so this should've been a treat. I was delighted with the results by the technician and I wish I could recall her name, but I forgot because I was pretty shaken by the following event. During my visit, the merchant next door to Party Nails threatened a homeless man with a baseball bat on the sidewalk in front of the salon. A customer inside the salon said that the homeless man was incoherent and scared her. By then she was inside and he was outside. I left the salon, shouted at the batter to call the police instead. The gray-haired homeless man had his arms crossed over his head & was shouting for help. The salon owner? manager? urged the batter on. Finally, the merchant called the police & I thought the encounter was over. However, once inside, the owner told me he didn't like having people like that around and "there's something wrong with you!" if I didn't agree. He told me to leave the salon and not to come back. My nails were still wet, but when I didn't move fast enough, he kept came closer until I told him I still had to pay my bill. He shouted for me to "pay the bill and get out." read more
