This is a local party store that has been around for what seems like forever. The store has gone through many facelifts to keep up with the current needs. Now the section that sells decorations and costumes is about half of what is used to be a couple years ago. The staff is always friendly and willing to provide assistance. Prices seem to still be reasonable and stock seems to be available. When I need party decorations and balloons, I am glad this store is still here. read more

I think this place is fantastic. Believe it or not, this is the place you should go to send packages. They have always had a really cool, efficient and easy postal office in the store. They have always had this service and it is one of the main reasons I come here all the time. This store is cool and the prices are fair. How awful! This is the worst party store EVER. No idea what happened, it used to be great. All the cheap party crap that used to be just one or two dollars is now sold for $5.99 or more. I literally don't think anything in that store was less than that other than the individual candy pieces up front! The super weird person working at the register was clearly having some problems. My friend asked how much a piece of candy was and they rudely responded I don't know. She then asked about something else and the person at the register yells "I don't know! Bring it to me!" Instead of walking 3 feet from behind the register and check herself?? So we have to do your job??? I was standing at the register and one of their coworkers was in the back packaging a box with a loud tape gun and it was clearly keeping them from being able to do their job properly as they kept turning around and scoffing and rolling their eyes which made us really uncomfortable. Wouldn't make any sort of conversation with us just kept staring at us. One of our items wouldn't scan so they stood there and stared at us until I went and grabbed another item which also didn't scan. They then audibly grunted and reluctantly went and grabbed another one which also didn't scan! We were the only people in there. There has been a helium shortage, so I was so excited to find a location that not only had helium but a very wide variety of balloons to choose from. I have gotten just about everything you could possibly imagine from Party For Less and what's even better is that they also have a USPS inside. They have a great selection of Halloween costumes and seasonal decor; from weddings, to baby showers, Easter and Thanksgiving, Party For Less has got it covered! They have reasonable prices and a large selection of cards and balloons. Parking can be a bit of bummer when it's a busy hour because it is shared with Safeway. Twilight Zone. Went to the USPS counter with three items: My self, a package, and a sheet of paper. Barely got "hello" out and the woman said something like, "We only take ready packages" and turned to walk away. As if she had already decided she didn't want to help me and was grasping for a reason to turn me away. I said something like, "What do you mean? This package is ready." I held up the indeed fully wrapped and prepared package (about half the size of a shoe box - fyi). She said something like, "What's that paper?" I told her it was just the addresses (mine and the destination - fyi). She then grabbed the package and she said she wanted to weigh it. I bit my tongue in bewilderment as to why she would want to weigh it if she had already decided the package was not "ready." She gave me two rates as the Twilight Zone consumed me. She was now proceeding with the transaction as if she did not just try to turn away the moment I approached the counter. She took my money as if she did not just tell me the package was not "ready." What about those three items I approached the counter with caused her to immediately dismiss me? Next time, I'll drive the extra minute to the UPS Store, where I have never had any issues. read more

I work in an environment that has a tendency to be pretty hostile. It's no place to hold up hope for anything good on most days. So at lunch the other day when Work Husband threw out that our plans had to include balloons for a co-worker he found crying at her desk that morning I had the following thoughts: 1. Aww, he is such a giver! (Pun intended for those who get it) this is why I love him so. 2. That bitch?!!? I'm glad she finally got some of what she does to others all day long 3. I'll do it... But only for him. We are faux married, after all. 4. *sigh* Be the better person, Riss. She is who she is, and it is sad she's so heartbroken. After getting my coffee, I remembered this place was right here, so I suggested we try here before Fred Meyer or elsewhere. Upon entry, we noticed they offer delivery of balloons. Score! Except.... Not. The lady, with just a bit of heavy handed snark, let us know it's only with several days advanced notice. So, off we went to wander so he could select his choices. I TRIED to be helpful and ask questions (does she like this? What's her favorite color) but Polly Prissy Pants was not making it easy to be supportive of his heart to want to try for Office Monster. Eventually, he settled on a coloured pack of standard balloons, a big globe Congratulations and set about getting a bouquet together. He did his best, though his color choices went a bit past "happy, spring" and almost to "you're pregnant!" I remembered they have tiaras here, and he was genuinely on board with that idea when I threw it out. Princess, Birthday, and Bachelorette dominate the selection on the party side of the store (we didn't check the costume side) but there are some wordless ones. Diva and Bitch as well. Beyond a shared joke on the latter, he happily decided on the former. The total came to around $3O or so, for the big bouquet and tiara, which seems a bit steep but I suppose it's not bad for the options, being nearby and compared to other places. Flowers or something else would have been in the ball park if that, anyway. They carry party themes of all sorts, from Tiki to Transformers and have a costume selection year round so there is always a reason to check then out for inspiration or when smaller stores fail you. She was happy at her surprise. She cried happily and hugged us both. Yes, even me. I actually am a nice person in real life. Some times. Mostly. Whatever. This place was a huge disappointment. I went there to talk to the bakery for Kelli's Cake Creations and found out that she is no longer there :( Well, we decided to just look around for decorations and see what the store had. Their decorations were severely lacking. The boy's 1st birthday stuff was ugly and disappointing. The costumes were....interesting. Imagine my surprise when looking at costumes with my husband and infant son and he reached out his hands to grab some costumes off the shelves and one of them was: a play boy bunny! This was right across the way from the kids action figure and princess costumes...they should place that higher up or somewhere out off view of a kid. Lots of party supplies at reasonable prices. I had the work wife stop in here during our lunch break one day to buy balloons for a coworker that was having a bad day. They have quite the balloon selection. They will deliver, but you need to give them a couple of days notice. I didn't care for the fact that they don't have a catalog of mylar balloons to choose from. They are all blown up and lining the upper wall of the store. We love how convenient they are for party balloons. Each year I bring my kids in, they choose from the huge selection on the wall, and then pick the small ones to hand out at the end of the party. The selection is fairly good, but I've been let down now twice with their miserly return policies, even though I'm pretty sure their policy meant I should be able to return (ie that it wasn't a seasonal item and was being returned in the condition I bought it in), but they still denied the return for what seemed like arbitrary reasons. It was a tank of helium, still in it's box, unopened. Unused. It just turned out that someone else had also purchased some for my kids birthday. The staff are usually very young. The Manager on duty who denied me was likely 19 years old, and so perhaps they were mistaken...But this has happened twice now. When something is absolutely unopened, isn't seasonal (IE I didn't try to return a Halloween costume the day after Halloween) and can be put right back up on a shelf, and you're returning it the same day you purchased it...Come on guys. I've spent hundreds with you over the years. Arbitrary turning away of returns to maximize profits doesn't save you money in the long run as you've just lost a customer who frequented your store 2 to 3 times a year. read more

I was pleased with the selection of stuff they had in general. I was able to find napkins, streamers, etc. in the colors I needed for a party. The only trouble I had was finding higher quality items such as serving spoons. I would definitly come back to this store for the eastside for party materials. I would think that their name implies cheaper prices but I found that it was pretty much the same as what you would find at target or the party store. read more

I got three balloon arrangements for my daughter's birthday party. The clerk made it easy to pick the right arrangements with the right colors and then coordinating plates and cups. The only reason for a "3" is I brought my own decorated balloon weight to use (vs. buying one of theirs) and they charged me for one anyway. I have shopped at this location for many years. Love the product line however customer service seems to continue to decline. Was in the store this week and could not find what I was looking for, could not find anyone on the floor so went to the counter where there were 2 employees blowing up balloons with one employee checking someone out. I stood there looking at the 2 people blowing up balloons for about 5 minutes. They barely made eye contact. When the young man completed checking out the lady before me, I had to ask him for help rather than he asking me. He must be new as he did not know stock and asked one of the employees who completed the balloon task about the product I wanted to buy and he showed the young man where it was. Will I shop there again. Doubtful. There is another party store in Redmond and worth the drive for better customer service. read more

Umm I would definatly recommend the party store in lohmens plaza by QFC on factoria blvd. That store is ALOT smaller but they have a much better variety! I would rather pay more for quality!! ;) read more
