PLEASE READ!! I would not recommend this company at all. Their customer service is terrible. The initial booking should have been our sign to go with a different company. The guy on the phone was very rude, we originally wanted the bus for 4 hours to go look at Christmas lights with our family and the guy literally told us no and that would be too long. So we booked for 2 hours and he said he would put the deposit through and we would get a confirmation email. He did not do the deposit for like a week and when I texted him to confirm we had the booking, he was very passive aggressive and rude about it. We then called later to plan our route and we were told that they had a route planned and when we asked for the route, they told us that they wouldn't tell us because "the route was proprietary information" and then we could go to the route without their services (even though we had already paid the deposit). Fast forward to the night of the party bus. We got on the bus and that back seat was broken and kept sliding around the entire night. The driver had no idea that there was supposed to be a preplanned route so we wasted 20 mins trying to figure out where to go. This is not a dig at the driver though, he (Wes) was fantastic! After our first stop, he figured out a route and was great, he also let us stay out 20 mins past our scheduled time because of the confusion at the beginning. On top of the terrible initial booking, 15 minutes into our reservation the company texted me "Got your payment with the very minimum tip... thank you" and to clarify the minimum/required tip was 15% and we tipped the driver in cash at the end of the night. I waited till after the bus was over to respond and express my concerns. And their response was them making excuses and saying things like "More than 2 hours was not an option because the Bus was rented out right after you" which was clearly not true as we stayed on the bus longer than we booked for. They did apologize for the experience but it was not very sincere. This is an annual event for our family and we will not be using this company next year. read more

After confirming the bus and availability and planning my event, I called to place a deposit. After my call was not answered, I left a voicemail notifying the company what date, time, and length of time I would be requesting the service. I had confirmed availability and attendance with the company via text, however, after not returning my call for 3 days, I was informed that the reservation was no longer available. They were scheduled to pick up our whole wedding party at 3:00 and they texted the Groom at 2:51 saying they would not be picking us up because the bus was not working...they wouldn't answer any calls, or texts to work through the issue. The owner Phil is extremely rude. I was made to feel incompetent when I did nothing other than follow his directions of ways to pay for the remaining balance of the bus "through cash or Venmo". He called in the middle of our family's Christmas party, near the time of boarding the bus, and yelled at me through the phone because he couldn't add the simple math of the multiple Venmo payments. DO NOT RENT FROM PARTY EXPRESS BUS KC!!!! The owner Phil charged us $250 for a broken seat that was broken upon our arrival on the bus. The seat that we allegedly broke was in the only section of the bus that no one from our party sat in the entire night. We have proof and photos/videos but they don't care what we have to say. The money was taken out of my account with no warning and without my knowledge. Unless you want to pay for someones else's damage, rent somewhere else. If I could give them 0 stars I would. The owner doesn't reply to texts or calls unless you have already booked with them. Good luck getting in contact, this should have been the first red flag. DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY! My daughter booked this company for her wedding. She called to get the drivers number the day of and Phil spoke to my daughter in a way that I have never heard a business speak to a customer. We have the entire conversation on video. Everyone in the room was completely shocked by his behavior. She booked this bus in advance for her wedding day, having a conversation on the phone with Phil in February letting him know that the day of timeline wasn't finalized yet, but she would need the bus sometime around 12 or 1 and I would let him know the exact time about a month out. He never said there was a problem with doing that. She emailed him a month before the wedding letting him know we would need the bus just 1:30-3:30. When she called the morning of to get the number of the driver so we could coordinate a pick up, he said we could only have it 1-2:45 (still charging for the full 2 hours) and "just because I sent him an email, doesn't mean he read it." Keep in mind, it was the email chain that we had communicated on to book originally. He was laughing at her and mocking her. Save yourself the headache for your important event and book with another company. read more

Horrible service. They showed up an hour late to pick up 30 of us for my girlfriends birthday party. Our driver was whipping around like he was in fast and furious, resulting in many people unable to hold on to the handrails, falling, and getting injured. Once we called to request a refund, the owner, Phil proceeded to offer us "a discount for the future" as if 30 people who had a horrible time would ever want to use this company again, when in reality they just didn't want to offer any sort of refund. He then told me that he could not and would not continue to talk to me because I "didn't pay for the bus," which of course, I did, because we all split the price of payment. In complete disbelief at how this company handles conflict. Obviously wish I could leave 0 stars but even that would be doing more for them and they did for us. Be better. read more

Our company rented the eclipse bus and had Don as our driver. The only reason I am giving two stars is because of the experience we had with Don. However, we were incredibly disappointed in the customer service shown by Phil, the owner. He was lacking in follow up on a requested receipt for the remainder of our balance ($700+). He did not return my calls, was delayed in replying to my emails requesting a receipt. When booking the bus, I was told I would receive an email receipt for the $100 deposit. I did end up getting my receipt after several days and several calls to follow up as Phil had taken down my email incorrectly. After multiple attempted contacts from myself, my director reaching back out to both our driver and phil, my director finally connected with Phil and he was rude and unprofessional. Telling my director that she needed to stop contacting our driver and that he has never had a party ask for a receipt for the balance. As this was a company event, a receipt is needed for expensing purposes. This is a party bus, we were not expecting high class service, but spending ~$800 for the rental I had higher expectations for our customer service. I would highly recommend looking into other bus rentals in the KC area. read more

So unprofessional. I booked weeks in advance, with a deposit. On the day of the event the bus didn't show. We waited 10 minutes after the agreed arrival before we called. No answer. My guests were trying to help and all called. Finally, the owner answered and told me to "quit f$@:$/ calling". When I replied we were waiting on the bus, he again replied "I'm working on it." I want to start this with this fact- I completely understand that you all are going through a hard time in your business with everything going on. I'm sure there are a ton of worried cancellations happening. That isn't what I was trying to do. We simply wanted to reschedule without my daughter losing her deposit. It's frustrating that it did not end that way. According to the ordinances passed down by the mayor and MANY of the local/state administrations, we are to be social distancing and not in gatherings of more than 10. My one daughter has Postural Orthostatic Tachycarida Syndrome, Asthma and a host of other ailments, and another family member is fearfully awaiting a possible ALS diagnosis, both of these disorders are at a higher risk. That is just in our family alone. We were not willing to put them at risk by going through with our reservation scheduled for this coming Friday. I called you to reschedule to a safer date. But you did not allow the conversation to get that far. Instead you were cavalier about the dangers, you were insulting with your "I don't understand why your adult daughter (she is 19 and lives at home) said everything was fine but then mommy has to call and get involved", after having said to me in a previous comment that you "don't see what the big deal is if none of the kids are symptomatic." The big deal is that you had no regard for health of these kids and their families or your own staff. So we have cancelled and forfeited her $100 deposit because money is not as important as people. I am disappointed that this company has refused to work with us and be considerate during this scary time for all Missourians, Kansans, Americans and the world at large. If you are willing to put Kansas City children/young adults at risk, or not allowing them to reschedule to a time when there isn't a public health crisis. I hope you are willing to potentially lose a lot of revenue and business as I will make sure nobody uses you that I know. read more

So I had a school dance on February 6th. We hired a party bus to take 34 of us all around for the night- THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP TO GET US, so we proceeded to have to hire a shuttle bus. Terrible and do not recommend at all. Our plans were completely changed. I rented the Eclipse Party Bus for a bachelorette party. This company was extremely easy to work with and was competitive price-wise with other party bus companies around Kansas City. Our driver Martin was super nice and very helpful throughout the evening. He arrived early to pick us up and helped carry our coolers onto the bus. He took us wherever we asked him to go and I just texted him when we wanted to be picked up and move along to our next stop. The guy I spoke with was very disrespectful and he didn't seem to want to answer any of my questions. The customer service was as bad as going to McDonald's drive through during lunch time. Even when I called them a few days after I spoke to him the first time, he was still rude . It got to the point I had to hang up and he had call me back to tell me "he's gonna refund my money so that he doesn't have to deal with me". Yes , those words came out of this mans mouth, whom he said was the boss and the only man I can speak too. I was excited about this party bus because this was gonna be my first , but I rather spend my money else where than spend Hundreds of dollars on a business that think they can talk to you ANY kind of way. I hired Party Express Bus KC as transportation for my wedding party on 9/7/19. I scheduled the pick up time to be at 230 to get myself and my girls to the church for the ceremony. The ceremony was at 4 and a 30 minute drive from our reception venue. The driver Jeff I believe, was 20 minutes late. He said he hit traffic on his way there which as a party bus company picking up a bride you would be early in case of these instances! On our way to the church my mother and mother in law had to keep redirecting him after being told I70 was closed and then having to be told turn by turn directions. The bus was HOT! One of my bridesmaids asked Jeff to turn up the A/C but it "was doing the best it could". It was 85 degrees on this day and a bride and her bridesmaids should not be dripping sweat. We arrive to the church at 330 where we are already late for intimate pictures I was wanting to take before walking down the aisle. Jeff was rushing me to sign some papers as I was trying to get inside to my photographer. Our ceremony ended up starting 15 minutes late because of this. On the way to the reception again we had no A/C or "it was doing the best it could". After our wedding I called the company to express my feelings and whoever I spoke to wanted nothing of it. I just kept getting excuses and "we gave you $50 off your total". I will never use this company again. All of what happened was uncalled for. As a party bus company you'd think you'd be punctual and make sure your guests are comfortable. read more

We used party bus express not only for our ride to Kansas City after our wedding, but also to bus our guests from the hotel to the church, reception, then back to the church due to many of our guests coming to the wedding from out of town. If I could give this company zero stars I would... Bus broke down not even 10 minutes into our ride we were stuck in a gas station parking lot after we got the bus out of the intersection. The owner refused to call us another party bus stating all of his were booked. He also refused to get us a ride back to our pick up point informed us that was our job not his, stated he didn't have the money to call us another service so that we could celebrate our girl getting married. Then the owner proceeded to blame his driver for the problem which was obviously a fuel pump not a damn oil leak, then when we explained that to him he blamed the person who booked the bus. Very unprofessional! the bus was leaking from the air conditioning as soon as we got on & smelled like piss! We waiting in the heat & rain for over 2 hours before one of our party goers was able to go get their car to give us all rides back to ours!!!
