I wish I would have read the reviews before ordering from Party City, as there are several not so good reviews. I am disappointed that my order did not deliver in time for my party. If you are looking for party related items, obviously they have it. The issue I have with Party City is the prices and the service. I usually come through to get party supplies that I can't get elsewhere, and I usually try to go elsewhere because I can get the same quality at Walmart or the Dollar Tree at a much more reasonable price. Party City DOES have the more specialized items if you are looking for a more specific theme. The service is usually disappointing. I frequently get annoyed or irritated staff. If I ask for help in an isle they just point in the direction or say "no we don't have it". It's lack luster to say the least and I feel like the few extra bucks I have to spend to shop here is not worth my while. I'm pretty fair in that if I have good, improved service when I return, I will update my review. read more

Still haven't heard back from the GM after I returned his follow up call. Customer service was horrible--the girls working were sighing and visibly unhappy that they had a rush of customers (graduation season). I got a bouquet of graduation balloons and even paid extra for the bag to hold them together. After bringing them home and opening the bag, I noticed one of the Mylar balloons wasn't even inflated properly. How disappointing. Will not go back. read more

Me and a couple friends went there last night ooo get some party gear for a dance. Everything was ok store was nice until one of them went to use the bathroom and i guess it was kind of sketch and not really cleaned or it just in general smelled bad. Not really the reason for the one star. But when we went to the register we were kind of ignored even though only ones in line. My friend saw a sign for a 10 candy for one dollar and the lady charged her 3$ even though the sign said otherwise. Not going back there. Unless management changes and becomes more strict so people aren't laid back. read more

I bought some balloons online for my sons birthday and they wanted to charge me to blow up each one. When it clearly says NO ADDITIONAL COST. They are so rude . I tried explaining what it said online and unfortunately my phone was dead, but it was just arguing with stupid. They only blew up 5 balloons for me . They act as if the helium comes out of their paycheck. I don't get what's so hard about blowing up 15 balloons that I clearly had payed for. Not to mention there was 4 ppl standing over the helium not doing anything.. but they couldn't do my balloons .. lol makes sense . This store is ran by idiots . Lazy ones . read more

It is rare that I have to take a "cool down lap" before writing a review. i try to be fair and honest in both positive and negative comments. However, after a second poor customer service experience at the 94th and Sheridan Party City, I am fuming. I went in to purchase supplies for theme party. I saw them on the website and thought I could get them at my local store. When I entered the store I asked one of the young men at the counter about the themed items. He checked and said they did not have them in the store, but I could order them online. I asked if I could pick them up in the store (the party is a surprise and I did not want Party City packages delivered to the house. I also thought they would get to the store in a more timely fashion.) He said I could do that. I proceeded to shop for the other supplies. When I reached the register, I explained to a different young man that I had to order additonal items to pick up at the store. Suddenly, I hear this loud squawking voice from two registers away, "You can't pick up items that you order online unless it is something we carry in the store." It was a woman who says she is the manager (she wasn't the last manager I dealt with when there was another customer service issue a few months ago). I explained that the first clerk said I could. "Well, you can't, unless it is something we carry in the store", she barked. That made no sense. If they carried it in the store, they could have ordered it for me. I was so put off by her tone, that I turned to the clerk for my next question. "If I order the themed balloons from Party City online, can I bring them in to be filled." Once again, I got the "I'm the manager" tone from her. "If they are mylar,we fill them for no extra charge." I explained the themed balloons were latex. "Then we charge 1.79 per balloon." Again, that made no sense. They would still be purchased from Party City. I ended up not getting half of my items. I should have left them all on the counter, but it was not the clerk's fault. As I left the store, I took a picture of the sign on the outside of the door. It clearly stated, in large letters (with no qualifications). PARTY PICK-UP BUY ONLINE PICK UP IN STORE In the future, I will buy on line. From Amazon, Party Warehouse, Walmart and any other party supply store. read more

Rude and unhelpful staff. Items not found with accurate prices. The cashier handed my items back to me to replace on the shelves after they rang up a different price than they were listed as. Employees are more interested in discussing personal matters than assisting customers. read more

I had a horrible experience at this location. I was shopping with a friend if mine for her daughters birthday, and when we went to check out everyone was so rude. Every time we asked for a ballon, they were out, and the cashiers seem to be getting upset with us over this. Than she has purchased some regular balloons with mermaids, and the lady blowing them up popped one. Instead of getting us another one we were told to pick a solid color balloon. We spent extra to have the mermaids and did not end up getting what we paid for. Over all just an awful unpleasant experience. read more

Absolutely horrible Service at this party city. Walked in and asked for 30 balloons non-stop cussing and rolling of the eyes. I would not recommend this to anyone even if it was your last resort for party supplies. If I could give the store -5 stars, I would. read more

I came here to get Hawaiian style Mylar balloons and they were literally out of every style. I purchased individual balloons and after I paid the clerk asked me if I wanted them now. I told her I did and she just starred at me... then asked me to move away from the register because she has to help the next people in line. I asked her about my balloons and she replied that she would get to them after she helped everyone else that was in line. I guess that's the service you get when you hire teenagers. read more
