I was going to Party City after not being able to find what I was looking for and I see a Halloween City directly next to the Party City. I thought that was a very bold move and should be illegal. I went to the Halloween city because I'm not a big fan of party city because of their plastic use, but that's a another story. Party city is usually very busy during Halloween time so I knew I could save time and waste less if I went to Halloween City. The staff assured me that there have not been any fights or drama with the Party City staff. They had a great selection, the prices were reasonable and the staff was very helpful. I was in and out. I did however just notice that their website brings you to the party city website, so now I think they're related companies. read more

Although I TRY to avoid/minimize buying balloons now as my own way of helping the environment there are just some days you have to get a few. One of those days include celebrating birthdays for the beloved family of course lol Party city is usually where we go to grab some balloons. The quality and design is usually good and the staff gives you a heads up regarding how long the balloons usually last which is helpful. This location in particular is closest to me, its arranged fairly well and is kept clean every time i come by to grab a few items. Every party needs you could think of is pretty much here from utensils, to decor, candies and costumes! So four stars for you - for now! Lol read more

Literally the most disgusting manager at that location. Overheard her berating a young woman a few weeks ago. I emailed corporate and no reply back on my incident. Manager (middle-aged woman) with Irish sounding accent started taking her mask off and laughing to yell at a CUSTOMER in her face. I was next to two other people who actually recorded it!!! I tried to find another manager to escalate this incident too and a male employee told me that's how this manager normally is?! I was absolutely appalled. I will never shop here and I do not recommend anyone ever coming here again. Just another retail manager using her "power". Sit down lady you work at Party City not ruler of the universe. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Don't work with people if you can't even treat them with kindness, such a disgusting human being representing that store. I am not the type of person to write a negative review but I had so much trouble with my balloon order I wanted to share my experience. I came into the store a week ago tomorrow to set an order for pick up for last night. I picked out my balloons and paid extra for them to put a solution in my confetti balloons for them to last at least 24 hours prior to my event. I went yesterday night to pick up my balloons (the day before my event) at 6 PM. I was in and out picking up my balloons until I walked outside and my big balloon popped. I walked back in and was upset to find out the balloon I chose was out of stock. The lady helping me told me I can pick any other balloon and she would not charge me the difference. I double checked with the lady to make sure my confetti balloons would last for my event tomorrow (11-3) and she assured me that since I had the solution in them they would last 24+ hours from pick up. She told me to just not leave them in my car, which I did not. I woke up this morning to my confetti balloons on the ground and not floating in the air. Pick up was 6 PM last night and I got up at 7 AM this morning and saw them like this (picture 1). Thankfully the big balloon lasted and I had time to spare to run there before my event. I was very frustrated to find out that I paid extra for them to not float and also that I had to go back yet again the morning of my event which I wanted to avoid in the first place. I was able to run there before hand but my blue confetti balloons were out of stock. I was able to find the lady that helped me the day before and she found silver confetti balloons and just added blue confetti into them. I got a refund on the solution and balloons which I was happy about. I got to my event and started to decorate my balloons and 5 minutes after I hung up the one it started to slowly drop towards the ground (picture 3). An hour into the event the same balloon deflated (picture 2). Although I did get a refund for the balloons, it was very frustrating having to go back and forth due to my balloons not lasting/deflating. Thankfully the staff was helpful but I am very reluctant to buy balloons from here again. read more

I don't know what all the other reviewers expect from this place --- it's Party City, not the Ritz- Carlton. It's a clean, well stocked, well kept store in a clean, well kept strip mall. Associates were very helpful walking me through the balloon/ helium options. They adjusted my online order and inflated the balloons quickly. BTW it's not like you have a ton of other options in the area when it comes to this sort of stuff. read more

This past Saturday, 10/27/18 was my sons birthday party for his 10th birthday. He wanted a Star Wars theme. I picked up everything except balloons (they don't last long in the cold) at Wayne party city. Knowing they open at 7:00am, I figured I'd pick up the balloons early Saturday to avoid the Halloween crowd. Got there at 8:00am and was the only customer in the place. There were a lot of employees filling balloons and no one on line. I walked up to the counter put down my items and asked for balloon #937 (a giant Darth Vader head), thinking I'd get the smaller balloons at the dollar store in Oakland. The cashier said "okay", turned to get the balloon with that, what I assumed to be the manager said "CAN'T DO IT" Me: You can't do it, why? Him: We're filling orders right now, can't do it Me: I drove here from Oakland to buy THAT balloon for my sons birthday and you can't fill one balloon for a customer who's standing here? Him: Nope Me: Friggin Ridicules! Him: It is what it is! At that point I wanted to grab this shithead and punch his face. I shop here quite often and I was surprised to see these reviews! I've found the staff here to be extremely helpful. So much so that when my sister and I were planning a party recently, we ended up back at party city a few times over the course of two days. My sister was actually shocked at how helpful the staff was. She went back in to tell the manager! Good service sometimes doesn't get as much buzz as bad. I just wish their prices were a little lower, lol. But otherwise a great store. read more

This place has gone down drastically over the years. I went in a couple of weeks ago to place an order for balloons. In the past, I would go to the balloon counter, place my order and then pick it up. However, I was unaware that their ordering practices have changed. I waited at the balloon counter for about 10 minutes. There were two cashiers at the other end of the check out counter that did not even acknowledge my mother and I. Finally, another employee came by and I told her that I wanted to order balloons. She snottily told me that I would have to pick them out and pay for them at the other end of the counter. I picked out everything that I wanted and proceeded to check out, but unfortunately the associate that helped me there wasn't the nicest either. She seemed annoyed that she had to keep looking for different UPCs in the balloon book to check me out. We had 3 different colors of balloons for 9 table (27 total), which I didn't think was a lot, but this girl made it seem like I was ordering a truck full. When we were finally done, she told me to bring back the receipt at pick up or else they would not give us the balloons, which I guess is an OK practice? I understand wanting to ensure people don't pick up the wrong balloons but wouldn't taking a name with the order be ok? If you expect people to hold onto a receipt for a couple weeks, at least give the option to have it emailed. Anyway, fast forward to pick up day, MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU TAKE THEM HOME. My mom opened the balloon bags to find that several were deflated/droopy. I've read all the bad reviews but that was not my experience. I got help from every salesperson I asked and the balloon guy who helped me over the phone and then in person (Marc?) was excellent. He was knowledgeable, gave great advice on balloons, weights, design.. you can't really ask from more from a Party City. Try them! read more

Avoid this place. They are understaffed so it always takes so long to check out. Apparently 5 days notice wasn't enough time to place a balloon order. Umm...is the name of this business party city ? The only reason I gave them one star is because I had no choice. Please avoid this awful store. First of all, the staff is incompetent, in that, they give you misinformation about their own store. I needed some makeup for a group costume and one of their associates by the name of Adnan told me that I would need one tube for each face, which amounted to several tubes of makeup. I commented that it seemed excessive, but Adnan proceeded to tell me not to worry because I could return whatever I didn't use as long as I saved the receipt, which I did. What he did NOT tell me was that I only had 14 days from the date of purchase to return the product. I bought the makeup on October 10th for a party on October 28th, clearly longer than 14 days. Had I been told about the 14 day limit at the time of purchase, I would have waited another week, as I had plenty of time. It was only when I attempted to return the makeup today that I was advised that I couldn't get my money back because the expiration of return was October 24th. And this was by none other than ADNAN himself. When I reminded him of what he told me, he simply played stupid. Secondly, they are seriously understaffed and you have enough time to knit a sweater waiting in line to check out. Do yourself favor and avoid this place. You could probably get whatever you need from Walmart, EZ Parties, Party Fair or even the dollar store. Any place is better than Party City. read more
