Apparently, you can't walk in and buy balloons . You have to pre order, or put in your order and come back to the store 1-2 hours later. When your balloons are ready they don't call and when you come back they aren't ready. This was my experience the last 2 times I came in. I had a bad experience with a balloon order and DoorDash delivering in 2023 but decided to give them another try. They strung my son's balloon arrangement up with the #6 instead of the #9 like ordered but ok, easy fix. Well the gal who quickly fixed it apparently didn't tie it on so as soon as we took the balloons out of the car the #9 flew away :( I guess it wasn't tied on that well. read more

While I was ordering balloons a woman walked up to the other register to pay for her items. There was a guy next to that register messing with balloons. He never acknowledged her even though he was right in front of her. She just stood there for 3 or 4 minutes being ignored. Then another guy appeared and offered to help her. His hair was ultra greasy. They apparently are coached to welcome customers when they walk in the door but have no customer service skills once inside. read more

I always like to come to Party City to buy my decorations for special occasions, today was no different. What was different today, is that I had a limited amount of time to pick up some last-minute decorations for our son's open house for his new preschool. Instead of walking in like I usually do, I called and talked to Noah on the phone who walked me through how to get on their website, and he even recommended the products that I needed. I called again and talk to Ivie, who was also extremely helpful. They both had great customer service skills and our order was ready for pick up by the time we drove to the store! Went there to buy balloons. They would only sell me two. Yes, they limited how many I could buy. They said they had a "helium shortage." That there was a global helium shortage even. So instead of doing what every economist in the world would advise them to do - raise your prices and let those willing to pay that price buy as many items as they'd like, they LIMIT how many they sell. I could have gone to Fred Meyer or Safeway and bought every helium balloon in there. But I went to the store that SPECILIZES in balloons. With this policy they will be out of business in months. Get rid of your Party City stock and buy helium futures. read more

Horrible customer service! I was told to call and order balloons because they had a lot of them, when I tried to call and order I was told they the lady at the desk was busy. I asked to speak to someone else, Instead she just hung up on me. Then I called another party city and spoke to April who told me they were sold out and I should have just bought them and came back to have them filled and it was my fault for the wrong information. When I told her about the information given she said well we have new employees I don't know what to tell you, you should have bought them earlier. This place is always great even better than the party city where I used to live! The staff is friendly and there's a ton of stuff to browse through. I buy a lot of my party stuff and costume stuff here. Fair warning don't go in the evening during a school color war, this place is dripping with teenagers that lack respect and they might hit you with something or run into you on accident. I've heard the staff ask teens to behave on a few occasions, I feel bad for them. Balloons are quick, but if you go on a Saturday you may have a wait, as most people grab their balloons on Saturday, however they take balloon orders in advance that have priority so plan accordingly if you have a tight schedule. Have not tried the print studio, so can't comment on that, but will continue to shop here. read more

I just had the worst experience at party City. The customer service was rude and condescending. They tried to blame me for their mistake. Then gave me the wrong # to corporate. After I found the # I was re directed and hung up on twice then re directed again! I finally got a call from the manager and she took care of me. I hated my experience there. read more

Most definitely Open. The brand new corporate store opened August 12th 2014. Located near the hazel dell target in the hazel dell plaza. They carry wedding, baby shower, girl and boy birthday themes, generic birthday themes, sweet 16, 21st birthday, over the hill, 1st bday, event supplies, party favors, candy, seasonal holidays, solid printed plates cups and napkins, color wear, masks, costumes, seasonal themed party supplies, piñatas, and many more. They also have a personalized print studio where you can get ready then 6ft banners printed in hundreds of styles and themes as well as custom invitations printed on site or ordered from one of their associated print companies. This store is permanent and has no plans of leaving again. It's a one stop party shop where no one has more party for less. read more

I ordered 2 items online to reserve them at the store. I went to pay for and pick up the items. They informed me that one of the items was not available. I told them that i reserved them both and at the time it was available. They told me it was because there computer program was not updated so it showed that it was unavailable. What is the value of a program that was giving the customer the WRONG information? None. But I could order it on line and have it delivered. So once I finally got the item I needed to return it because another family member got the same item. As it turns out there are no returns of Halloween costumes after Halloween even if it clearly had not been open. They said it would mess with their inventory. I told them that they wouldn't have to worry about me EVER messing with their inventory as I would never shop with them again. read more
