Update 10/14/19: I went today to get my kids Halloween costumes and they have a great procedure for the costumes. Basically, they have a huge wall with pictures of costumes. A nice lady in a spider man costume had a little iPad and you tell her the number and size of the costume you want to try on, and your name. Then she tells you to follow this little path marked by Halloween stickers to a table where they give you your costume and you can return it if it dosent fit. This is a very prompt system and is much better than other Halloween stores where you have to search through unorganized shelves to find the right size read more

I wanted to give one star but sometimes they do "okay". Horrific online experience coupled with in-store negative experience. They are definitely NOT in the business to make customers life easier when THEY mess up. Ordered online last week which, like I mentioned too many online issues to list, website is seriously flawed. Picked up last night for a celebration tonight. They guaranteed the balloons will be good for several days if not longer. Two hours after picking them up some were already deflating. By tonight they will look horrible! A case of a very bad customer experience gone worse. And to mirror a previous comment, they do not leave behind the counter. The shelves for the seasonal stuff were cleared out, so I didn't find what I needed. There were only 2 girls at the registers and the line extended almost to the door. It took forever to get checked out (especially for the 1 item I had) and I almost just put it back and left. There was a man that came to the front for a moment, saw how HUGE the line was, then left again. I sure hope he wasn't a manager, but that's how it seemed. Crappy managers that let their employees drown in customers make for a high turn over, so I imagine that's the case there. I felt bad for those girls. They were sweet, but slow cashiers. read more

Rude service and overpriced pretty much sums up this location of Party City. We went in yesterday to get a certain balloon for a child's birthday party and the balloon was nothing spectacular at all, but it was $9.99; for a freaking balloon. Ok, well we had no choice but to buy it. We told the guy working the balloons what we needed, and he was not only snarky but told us it would take 15 minutes before he could blow it up. This would not be a big deal, but we were the only ones there and there was 2 balloon blowers working. 15 minutes passed and we went back to retrieve our balloon. The balloon was ready, but there was no acknowledgement from the worker. Piss poor service! read more

As we approach Halloween when everyone is shopping for costumes, the store needs to require customers to wear masks and social distance, these rules must include kids. A young boy (7-8 years old) was not wearing a mask, not social distancing, and the mother didn't care. The store clerks did not say anything to the mother. Perhaps signs outside the store and recorded announcements to social distance (similar to the grocery stores) should be implemented. read more

Went in and bought 3 balloons and was denied helium in front of my kid for our party in 1 hour. All of this is happening while other people are buying balloons and walking over getting them blown up. I asked a second time and they said they had too many pick up orders even though I just watched someone buy a balloon and get it blown up. We traveled 50 minutes to this one in particular and now have to figure out other solutions. The customer service was really offensive. read more

Such poor customer service. Literally could care less about being at all helpful to their customers or making sales for the store. Watched them hang up on customers calling in with questions, was laughed at when asked if I could purchase a display item because their inventory was so low, and the store was a mess and disorganized. AWFUL customer service. I ran in to hit ONE, not an entire bouquet, but ONE balloon. The girl told me I would have to wait an hour and 40 min. I explained I literally wanted 1 balloon Thst takes 5 seconds to blow up. She kept saying I had to wait. I get it if I want an entire bouquet, but come on! Absolutely ridiculous! I've visited twice this week trying to pull together a costume for my daughter. The customer service here is shocking. It's a PARTY store. A smile and good manners are expected in a store like this. Absolutely the WORST customer service! We had a balloon order for 2 balloons. I came in 20 minutes after my pickup time and they didn't have my balloons ready. Then they couldn't find my order so they told me it's over an hour for them to do my 2 balloons and my party starts in a hour. All because of their mistake! Are you kidding me?!? By far the worst customer service I've seen at any party city..or any retailer for that matter. I've had many issues in the past; this time it was even worse. We ordered balloons for the grad and were told to come back to place the delivery order with our purchase when the time came for the party. Ok - So there are not a ton of Party City stores around the OTP. I was on my way home from Sandy Springs and came upon this location. The store seems a lot smaller than the Barrett Parkway store. It's about that time to start to shop for Halloween costumes so I started in that area. Here's the BEST part of my experience; the girl that helped me with the costumes was AWESOME!!! So helpful and really customer service oriented. BIG KIDDOS to this girl! I was actually shopping for a "fiesta" type event and was really upset to find that there was really nothing that I could use to decorate. Now, you would think that even though it's not Cinco De Mayo, a party store would have some festive stuff like this right?? Well wrong. They did not. I had to compromise with Halloween type things. The only thing I did find was plastic Margarita glasses (thank God). When I approached the cashier she was not very friendly. There was another customer who asked if they had any "Halloween type jewelry". The other cashier stated that they really didn't, only what was at the front register. Well, I had just spent an hour in the store and saw a TON of jewelry throughout. Being brought up in the service industry my instincts wanted to kick in and say "We have a TON of Halloween themed jewelry, what exactly are you looking for"? So moral of the story is, this store is smaller, has some good employees, but could use a good service training. read more

Oh lord. I can't believe I'm updating a Party City review.. but I have to mention this: I don't know if if I just NEVER noticed the music, or they're listening to a new mix but it's terrible. It's like popular song covers.. but it sounds like someone karaoke'd these songs in their basement. ...and I can make that comment because I karaoke and I how awesomely I can butcher a song. That's really all I had to say. I still enjoy PC just as much as before.. and honestly, I should mention how convenient it is to Michaels next door. I had a store credit from a merchandise return from a few months back. When I got to the cashier she was very helpful and when I was discussing using the credit a young lady from a completely different register told me I had to use the store credit within 30 days... I know the return policy is 30 days but it didn't make sense that I had to use that credit within 30 days. The nice cashier said she'd be happy to just scan the credit receipt I had to see if it was still valid however this other cashier stepped in an refused to let her scan it, again repeating I could not use the credit. I'm not sure what the harm would have been in scanning my credit receipt to see if it was valid, since if the second person was correct then it would have not let me use it... I then asked to speak to the manager just to verify this store credit policy to which she replied she was the manager. Of course at that point she would only give me her first name "Katie". Since I had no other options at the time I purchased what I needed and moved on. I would have had no problem if the credit had expired however not being able to check the system for it's status and being given a very strange expiration policy in my opinion, that I could not verify, left me extremely disappointed. read more

This Party City has completely transformed from having nonchalant workers who couldn't be bothered to help you to a store teeming with polite, helpful employees. The lady who helped us tremendously was named Tekila and she was awesome. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and what they didn't have in the store, she showed us on our phone how to order the items online! Kudos to Party City for your vast improvement and especially on hiring Tekila! read more

Located next to the Dick's Sporting Good on Johnson Ferry Rd, this Party City is a well-organized store to get party/decoration items. If you live in the Sandy Springs/Marietta area this is definitely your best option for party goods! The staff here was really friendly & helpful, despite the store being crowded on a weekend. I'm 4'11, so reaching items can be a challenge. Some stores ask me to go climb a ladder myself, but this wasn't the case for this store. (*Big bonus point) One disappointing factor was the lack of Princess items (other than Elsa). I'm a huge fan of Princess Tiana, but I could not locate a single item with her.. Wish they had a little more diversity with the girl items.. read more

I've been to plenty of Party city's and they are usually a complete mess. I mean it has to be pretty damn difficult to make sure all those chotchkies have to be hard to keep organized but this place does a pretty good job. They make the shelves at the target across the street look disheveled compared to theirs. Anyway come by and check this place out for your party needs.
