I came to buy some themed party gear for my daughter's 21st birthday. They do have a nice selection of items for various milestone birthday's, small, but nice. The store is laid out pretty well, however, the pricing on a couple of the items we purchased were incorrect as we checked out, so I had to go back down the aisle to get screen shots of the items/price in order to get refunded the difference. It was inconvenient because we were short on time. The cashier was also less than enthusiastic; she never welcomed us, didn't thank us, didn't smile, and spoke like it was painful for her to have to deal with us.   Overall folks, this is a great place to get what you need at a reasonable price, however, just make sure the marked price matches the price at checkout. One of our items was $4.00 higher once we were at checkout. Being overcharged can really add up here, especially if you have several items marked incorrectly.   The cashier aside, I'd definitely shop here again. read more

Extremely efficient opening staff! Every time I have had a pickup order, or need to do a walk in balloon service they help me immediately

I can see why so many stores are closing down, and people continue to shop online. I came in to get balloons, 4-5 women just standing around. One made a comment about not wanting to take anymore balloon orders, and then they all started laughing. Customer service is lacking, and then they wonder why they'll be jobless. It's rare to find an employee with class. Majority are lazy and ungrateful. Online shopping is the future, and I'm all for it. We all have the last laugh, as this place will be out of business soon. After that experience, I don't feel bad for them. Places that lack customer service, deserve to be shut down. These places don't deserve money, people work hard for. read more

I found exactly what I was looking for at Party City, online, and this location had 5 "in-stock", so I bought it. Curbside service wasn't answering, so I had to go in. There it was, a long line, because Halloween was in 3 days. But there was a sign that said, skip the line if you have a prepaid order. I had to ask 2 people where is that line, lol. I'm here to tell you Party City is *NOT RELIABLE* I drove 15 miles to this location, expecting to pick up my item. When I arrived, I was instructed to go to the back of the store, then I waited behind 10 other people for 15 minutes. I noticed each person was leaving without their prepaid item. The store associated kept saying, to each person ... we don't have your items reserved, then she would walk around the store, circled back to say ... there are no more. People were furious! I was furious! When it was my turn, the associate told me the orders were coming in like crazy, they cant keep up with them, she showed me 75 pending on her scanner. She apologized profusely. This is so irresponsible of Party City. Greedy. Ridiculous. Bad service! Hey Party City, remove the option to buy online and quit wasting everyone's time!!! Went there this past Tuesday night 1 hour before they closed and the girl behind the counter did not want to blow some balloons saying they don't do that an hour before closing ! I came in on the fly this afternoon to purchase birthday balloons including the numbered mylar metallic balloons... The two gentlemen that were already busy filling other balloon bouquet orders helped me promptly we're very courteous, and told me my order would be ready in about 15 minutes. I was getting nervous because I was cutting it pretty close with my kids getting out of school and that crazy mad rush-hour carpool line that most parents are well aware of...So I was sweating bullets praying these guys could help me and that there would be zero problems. Not only did they get my three bouquets ready in under 12 minutes but they arranged them for me so they looked really nice and all ready to go so I don't have to do anything once I get to them back to the house... Super impressed by these individuals they appeared to be younger, so sometimes adults (okay me) can get a little judging when they see who's Working behind the counter if you know what I mean... LOL! Been using Frisco, Texas Party City for many years, ordering online and over the phone. We have a party this weekend Feb 11, an annual party, so I try to order online as I've always done... nope, not an option. So I called to place an order, nope... they don't do that either. I was told by the gentleman who answered that the new owner doesnt allow online or phone orders. WTH!?! So now I'm stuck. Needing balloons in three/four days and don't have the avail to drive up to the store, place the order and then travel back on Saturday. Not sure who the new owner is, and im sure its a franchise but Party City Corperate should have an issue with this... but it sounds like this new owner will be selling, or closing shop, due to stupid decisions. After checking their hours online I decided to drive over there to get some things for a party. Once I got there I found a sign on the door saying they close every night at 6 o'clock. I visited Party City to get some supplies for a drive-by birthday. They had everything I wanted - signs and balloons - and at very reasonable prices. They will make balloon bouquets for you. I recommend you try to avoid pickups on Saturday morning (when there is a crowd) and get your balloons a day ahead; they will stay inflated for up to a week. read more

I really hate giving people one star but I'm severely disappointed in this place and their managers. After a couple of months YES MONTHS of return call, when BOTH of my orders went horribly wrong, I thinks it fair. I had placed two SEPARATE orders on two SEPARATE days for two SEPARATE pick ups days/times spending over a $150. I sent our Nona to pick up the first order for the first day, as I was home finishing some surprise stuff for my child to wake up to. Unknown to her, and since she had handed them only one of the receipts and clearly said I'm here to pick up one order that should have been ready about an hour ago (and yes I know she told them this because I didn't want someone to think they had missed something or forgot an order) she ended up with BOTH orders which were BOTH wrong. What was extremely funny to me is that the second order wasn't even supposed to be started until after they opened the next morning. I did this to first make sure they lasted but secondly to make sure they weren't mixed in the balloon bags I purchased to make it easy and quiet to set up. This time has also been suggested by the person taking my order so the employees wouldnt blown them up until they came in and ensuring they would be full and nice for the surprise. My frustration really stemmed from me waiting my turn at this place, making sure I came at non peak hours so they weren't rushed, the time I took to go it step by step, spending extra money on ballon bags and spending the time to insure my instructions and requests were clear to prevent frustration and mistakes on their part and keep this from happening. So by the time our Nona returned home, we sorted out this mess and figured out what was going on we couldn't reach anybody to correct it. To add insult to injury the foil number balloon was nearly completely deflated as were multiple other baloons which seems odd considering I paid for the extra float. It was almost like someone went "oh shoot it's almost pick up time, it's late and I want to leave on time, just grab ones from off the floor and stick them in there it'll be fine". To top it off NONE of the balloon skirts that I had purchased for the ordered were actually on the Baloons nor were they even with the baloons. I'm sure the managers that got my calls probably didn't think it was a big deal because it's just baloons but (1) money was stolen from me for services and products not received that I PAID FOR (2) when you're paying that much what the heck!! (3) this was a tradition that I've done with my children as they've grown up every year. They wake up open their eyes and their rooms are full of balloons on birthdays or special occasion. It was an extremely extremely important year because we had just moved to Texas. Her oldest sibling and best friend had gone off to college and their dad wasn't here because he was in Afghanistan for the birthday. (4) It's your job. You are being paid to be there. It just was really personally important and I worked so hard to make sure that I went in and placed the orders separately on separate days for separate pick up some days and gave very very VERY detailed instructions to avoid these kinds of issues. Look mistakes happen but multiple mistakes on multiple orders shows a lack of interest in the job you are being paid for and then no consideration to just call back and say "hey we are sorry" just really shows a lack of customer service. So anyone with a good recommendation for a good balloon place would be greatly appreciated! read more

This may be the worst business establishment in the free world. Their understanding of curbside delivery is an absolute joke. My wife went by earlier in the week, followed their posted directions, but couldn't get through to anyone. When an employee finally came out, he was extremely rude to her and others after she had to go bang on the doors just to get someone's attention. When I just went by to pick up some balloons, I pulled in a spot and called the number on the receipt, which is also posted above their door. I called nine times, each time the phone rang 15-20 times before disconnecting. I ended up going in, walking to the counter, and telling the employees their curbside pickup sucks. They just stared at me. I then told them how I'd been trying to call for the last 10-15 mins. "Yeah, the phone line is messed up", said one of the apathetic employees. Yeah, same excuse they always seem to give. You'd think that if they're expecting pickups, and they know the phones are messed up, they might look outside every so often and come out if they see people parked in the designated pickup spots. Nope. They couldn't care less. There's not many businesses I would actually be happy if they went under, but this is one. Party City sucks. I had placed an order for a dozen plain black balloons along with a big 5 balloon and a big 0 balloon on the 14th since I needed them for my moms 50th birthday party on the 18th. All together it was $50 which I thought was crazy high for 14 balloons in total. Anyways, I had picked up my balloons at 4:30 and put them in my car. When I arrived at the venue, and pulled the number balloons out of my car, they flew away... it wasn't because I had accidentally let the balloons go. So I set up a time to come pick it up and when I come to pick it up it's not ready, they can't find it, and the guy in the first place didn't even write down my name, my number or my email so that they would know who to look for. On top of that, just to ask where my single balloon was I had to wait in line for 15 minutes and in those 15 minutes the cashiers bounce back-and-forth between multiple registers for no reason. There was probably 12 people in line, like why would you have to switch around registers three times within five minutes? And also why does it take 30 minutes to blow up a single balloon? This location should set up a separate area for order pick ups rather than mixing in people who are trying to just normally check out and people who have already checked out/ordered online and are ready to pick up their items. read more

Be aware... They won't honor their own coupons! Party City is having a Halloween sale 'this weekend' that ends on Sunday. Today is Friday - the START of the sale weekend. Spent a long time in line waiting to pay for a Halloween costume. When it was my turn to be checked out, I showed the coupon to the cashier and was immediately told that "my manager told me that we don't take that anymore". I quickly responded that the coupon is good until Sunday. I could have asked to speak with the manager, but with two hungry boys, I decided that they just lost a customer as I won't be back.
