I wanted to buy item #851-2779 Plastic Rat. Website for Gloucester store shows 5 on hand. They have zero on hand. I drove 1/2 hour there and 1/2 hour back. Disappointing. Website shows Orleans store shows 10 on hand. They have zero on hand. I spoke to sales associate and he indicated that this is a halloween item and has been packed up until next Halloween. OK, but inventory still shows on website. This is poor. read more

Review #5 of Yelp's 30 Day Challenge 2012 I first heard about this place from a mom friend in the Spring...then later another mom friend and another. Word gets around when there is a good find to be shared in the Mom Hood. Finally I sent husband to check it out over the summer in search of a treasure hunt type game since he works in the NE. He found the game and raved about how cool the store was. Oddly enough it took me several months before I actually ventured into this place on my own. It was getting close to Halloween and we were scouting our costumes. As soon as I walked into this place I was impressed. After having already been to Walmart to look at and price out a specific kids costume ($35) I discovered the exact same costume at Party City for $23 (reg price). Holy Cow! So ecstatic to find a place that can out price Walmart. They have so many neat things in this store and a huge holiday (Halloween) display. I noticed some (what I would call higher end/Martha Stewart type/good quality) decorations for a very good price. I returned to this place 3-4 times over the course of 4 weeks checking for a costume for myself (consistently out of stock) and each time exploring a new section of the store in more detail. This place offers a ton of party stuff for kids of all ages. Being a mom with young kidlets I especially love the kids area with all kinds of ideas (including bulk candy) for loot bags & birthday parties. Since I am hosting my son's birthday party the beginning of November I definitely plan on returning to pick up a few things...and of course I will have to venture back around Christmas to see what kind of goodies they have! read more

Party City is like a dollar store on steroids and, you guessed it, 100% PARTY! They have a whole aisle dedicated to paper plates and plastic cups in every colour. Yup, you can theme out your party with any colour of the rainbow, or, rainbow colour! Most of the stuff is pretty cheap, meant to be used for one night only. But, it's really easy to find some special touches to spruce of your party for cheap. The price range is a little higher than your typical Dollar Store, but I guess that's the price you pay for selection. Luckily, there's a dollar store right next door, so if some of the items you need to have to be extra specialized, there's a chance you can grab it at The Dollar Store on the same trip and maybe save a few buck. read more

Oooo, I may just have a new favourite party store! I stumbled across Party City while I was actually trying to find the BMO by Sunridge Mall. I took a wrong left turn and was about to turn around in the parking when I looked up and saw the words "discount party supplies." So, in I went! I had the most fun afternoon walking around and checking everything out. Need supplies for a stagette? Like one of those plastic shot glasses hanging from mardi gras beads? Party City's got them. Maybe you're planning someone's Sweet 16... or 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th or 60th birthday. Party City's got you covered. How about cheap party favours? They've got those too! Bins full of little toys and trinkets for as little as ten cents apiece - I *know*, right!?!? Or is it cups and plates you're after? It's got a multitude of colours and kinds of those too. Costumes? Go look in the back, there's also a section for that. What about paper lanterns? Cut out stars? Candy? Oh yes, there's candy! If you need to know where you can buy many packages of pop rocks, Party City's your best bet. Oh, and all of the different shaped helium balloons at the front of the store make the entire counter look like one great big carnival game. Did I mention 3 different people asked me if I needed any help while I was exploring the aisles? Sorry Party City, I didn't respond to your customer survey at the bottom of my receipt. I thought this might be more useful for you instead. If it's so great, why just the 3 stars? The air compressor thing used to blow up the balloons. It was going most of the time I was in the store and it was LOUD! Get a noise proof chamber or a backroom or something for that. Otherwise, total like! Bonus: It's right next door to a Dollarama. So whatever you can't find at one, you can certainly find at the other! read more

First time setting foot into Party City after passing by it numerous times and all I can say is that this has to be your go to for all party related things. From number balloons to plain balloons to party favours, if your hosting a party and need supplies Party City got you! Party City is now going to be my strictly go to and is absolutely a +1 in my books, would definitely recommend. read more

Worst party city I've been too. The manager Steffany working the ballon section is so rude. Stood in line waiting to get some balloons for my moms 60th birthday and she ignored me completely and stood there chit chatting. Then finally when I asked for assistance they told me that they had no helium for there balloons...... but you can buy helium tanks??? Seriously? Are they trying to scam us into buying helium tanks? This place is ridiculous. My mom 60th birthday is very important to me so I paid $40 for a helium tank and balloons to blow them up myself. I'd give negative star if I could. read more

Picked up balloons on a Wednesday..by next morning..one broke..and by Friday..all balloons down except the 2 number ones. They guarantee for 24 hours only...total rip off. Not worth the price... Will not return to this store. read more

I went in today, found what I needed by myself, and made me way to the checkout. It took fifteen minutes to ring through the person in front of me - partly because the customer was difficult and partly because the cashier attending the desk had no idea what they were doing . I stood there for fifteen minutes while one and then two people lined up behind me. The manager stood at the counter blowing up the balloons the entire time. Couldn't stop to ring us in, didn't apologize for making us wait. Just hung out and blew up his balloons while his incompetently trained staff struggled the entire time. This is a review of the partycity.ca website and their service. The merchandise I ordered arrived intact and in a timely manner. The problems then started with the charges on my visa bill. The bill was $137, somehow they charged me $107 on two consecutive dates. When I called and asked they said they only charged me $137 once. I took it to visa. Partycity continues to dispute. Nope, I will not ever trust them again with an online order. read more

Terrible customer service. Quite the array of products, but no employee willing to help you find what you are looking for. Management has done a terrible job of allocating tasks to employees (customers should be #1 I think....not stocking a candy container that's already 75% full), and a terrible job training them in friendly let alone useful customer service. The employees also seem perfectly at home to use highly offensive slurs in front of customers, without any regard for customers or for what constitutes politically correct language. Atrocious. Three people standing at the counter and we weren't even greeted when we came in. We wandered around and finally found what we were looking for. Selection is very good but I didn't think service was very good. If you buy balloons and need them filled don't bother, they wouldn't fill them because we didn't call ahead. Ended up having to buy tanks to do it ourselves. Originally we had ordered everything online but they waited 12 days to ship so we had to buy everything over. read more

Terrible, I will never buy anything else there. Three weeks ago I ordered a balloon for my daughter's birthday party and as soon as it got to my house, it popped. I went back to the store and they didnt have anymore left. I asked for the one in display and they wouldnt give it to me. I am very upset and will never go back there. read more

Such awesome customer service! so I bought a whole much of stuff that I didn't use for a party. I went back to return it (it was almost $100 worth of stuff). Later I checked my credit card bill and noticed that the cashier accidentally recharged me the $100 of stuff instead of refunding it. I panicked because I had thrown my receipt away. No worries, Vicki was awesome at the store. She pulled up the receipt electronically and refunded my money again withou a problem. Love this store. will encourage all my friends and family to shop there. :o) read more

I went to the south location in Calgary to get some balloons and party supplies. There is a lot of merchandise which is the upside. Lots to choose from, though it's a bit on the pricy side. That part is fine. You pay for the selection. But I also ordered helium balloons which I was told were guaranteed to last 24 hrs but would last closer to 48hrs. Well I ordered them for 11am one day, and the next morning when I got up at 8am, I found they had come down over night. They didn't even last the guaranteed 24 let alone the 48 I was told they would actually last. I got the balloons from Party City instead of doing the diy tank, as the last time I did the diy they didn't last even a full day. But neither did these. I had called around a few places first and the ones that said the balloons last 12-24 hours I choose not to go with. Perhaps they were being honest and Party City was not. Either way, I would beware the time frame they give you. It wasn't at all accurate in my case. read more
