Exceptional customer service & variety!…read more I stopped by Karrie's Kostume & Supplies store on my way home from work tonight to check if they had my toddler's ballet clothing in stock - I was greeted by a professional and friendly young lady who quickly showed me the available options; I decided to come back later with my daughter to try the items in for size. .............................................................. 2 hours later: I returned to the store with my twirling and giggling toddler in tote. We were helped by Anne, who was exceptionally good with my daughter. My four year old has a hard time talking to strangers and will sometimes run away and hide when spoken to. Anne knew just how to charm my toddler and after trying on the approved leotard options for ballet class, my daughter insisted on showing "the nice lady," before making a final selection. My daughter discussed all her favorite Princesses and Halloween costume ideas for the coming year: LaLaLoopsy & Monster High, of course! Anne even asked my daughter if she would like to try on their LaLaLoopsy costume; to which my daughter lost her marbles and a costume show and Photoshoot immediately followed care of Mommy's iPhone. Anne even brought us upstairs (stairs are on the outside of the building) to the Costume floor where we marveled at the amazing Super Hero & Star Wars Costume selection! I just cannot get over the selection of dance, costumes for adults & kids, stage/costume makeup, wigs & more! Karrie's, you have made a fan out if me!

When I walked in their I was taking it all in for the first five minutes, naturally of course I was greeted and asked if I wanted some help the general staple customer service. But after that not 5 minutes later of giving the response of that I was just browsing; other employees kept walking near the areas and past me and kept staring at me like I was going to steal something and gave me unwelcoming looks and generally made me feel uncomfortable and gave me really bad vibes like the Nike store nearby but that's for another review. Costumes and decorations are cheaply made and way over priced and the place looks slapped together and unplanned and disorganized, disgusting carpet. Clearly a illusionary gimmick for the upcoming holiday. Do not be swayed by some eye catching costumes or slightly neat decorations. It's a pig with makeup on. Your better off getting your costumes and candy at places such as the following: Value Village (Sooner rather than Later.) Canadian Tire, Superstore and Walmart. I did have the intention of buying Halloween related items and went in there with a fully opened mind. But it almost ruined my perfect day I was having, and it is a miserable place.

Told I'd have to spend another $60 dollar. told it was their policy no refundS or exchanging. Would have loved to know that when I spent $180. I would have tried the pants on in store before purchase. Poor policy from my point of view. buyer Beware. I have been an enthusiastic, repeat customer. I always have a fun time coming into the store and letting my imagination have its way. For Halloween, I rented an authentic 1970's era polyester tuxedo. I wore it with confidence and had a blast. Upon return, we realised there was a cigarette burn in the middle of the back of the suit jacket. I was surprised and shocked as I did not recall this damage. I took responsibility for the burn and was hoping for a reasonable solution to this surprise and difficult to fix damage. I was very happy with the negotiated outcome to a fair price for me to purchase this item which was no longer in a rentable condition. It was clearly ruined and the damage occurred under my care. After checking with a few of the premium suit manufacturers in Edmonton, I was referred by Harry Rosen to Maple Tailors. The repair was nearly invisible and at an excellent repair cost. I am now the proud owner of an excellent quality tuxedo. I will highly recommend Theatre Garage for excellent and authentic costume rentals and purchases. The owners are highly dedicated to their craft and in supporting local functions and businesses which is refreshing from all of the inferior quality products being sold at discount and chain retailers. My suggestion is to talk to these ladies (Christy, Tessa, and staff) ... they are authentic and committed to offering unique services and products to the Edmonton region. Thanks again, ds

Dived in here the Saturday before Halloween for the final price of my outfit. I know it would be…read morebusy but boy, you need to park miles away! Be prepared for that and if you don't like crowds then defo go early. Inside the displays are great, everyone is in good spirits and the sheer amount of Halloween stuff is totally overwhelming. Costumes are split up into genres, and kids costumes, decorations for inside and outside, even fog machines and lighting! Really you could spend a fortune in here but all I needed were bear ears so I tried to be fast. Couldn't help enjoying the live DJ and some of the over fun ideas for outfits. I really liked it and I loved he spooky displays inc giant spiders hanging from walls and skeletons everywhere. I wish Spirit Halloween was open all year round!

The workers came up to us searched out bags then forced us to buy what we had in our hands, after we were forced to buy the item we were kicked out and told we can't come back in. The security guard also said they are going to go check inventory now.

Gave it 1 star for my experience today when I went to return something we didn't need. They had their advertising vehicle parked across two disability stalls. There is only four. And the rest of the parking lot (which is massive) was EMPTY. We are disability parking spot users (son is in a wheelchair ). My daughter voted to " say something" so I did. Response was not awesome. Spirit of Halloween also supports The Stollery Hospital so his reaction was especially inconsiderate. His reaction to my request to move will definitely impact my future shopping.
