    Salad Bar

I have not been here, since I was a kid! Things have not changed much. They use the same ingredients because, it taste like it did, in the 8o's How about that for some consistency! There's been a slight remodel but, the original decor is still in place. The same light fixtures, the same juke box, wood paneling and Pinball Machines! They have great customer service. The employees seem to like their job because, they are ready to help with a good attitude. I ordered a personal pizza for $5.75. It had a crispy crust with bubbling Cheese on top with a yeasty taste, almost like it was made with Beer. My Pepperonis were a little to crispy and had a charred taste but, oh well. Well, pick up your kids from school and take them to Parton's. They will love the pizza, games and nostalgia!

Went tonight around 6:45pm! We got a salad which was pretty good and fresh! Then they put out some tater tots which are pretty good! They were no forks however they got us one really quick! It's $16 a person for buffet pizza! There was NO fresh pizza at all on the buffet! They put one out while we were there and one guy came and took all of it except 1 piece I believe he ordered that for himself! We waited a bit and I finally ask if they were going to put some fresh pizza out! At that time they came and cleared off the buffet and brought 2 pizza's out! The best thing about this place is delicious chocolate chip cookies! Hope they get a little better since we drove over 30 miles to get there! Happy Eating Everyone!

Had been wanting to make the drive down from Plano and I had the day off today. And it was worth the drive down. We had the lunch buffet and it reminded so much of my childhood back in west Texas. The service was amazing and so was the ambiance will be making the drive back pretty soon.

Came here to give a local restaurant a try. It was our first time here eating their buffet pizza. You pay first before eating. It's a good thing we came during lunch time so we can get fresh pizza. The pizza was ok, the pepperoni tasted a bit off palate to me. I do like the fact that the crust was thin and crispy. Salad bar is simple and ok.. they do have cookies and banana pudding for dessert if you have a sweet tooth. Overall, honestly the best thing I had was the chocolate chip cookies. There wasn't much of a service bedsides self serving yourself. It can get busy and you might have to wait for fresh pizza, so keep that in mind when visiting.

It was my mom's birthday and she was in the mood for Italian. I had heard good things about Pie Tap…read moreso Pie Tap it was! We came in on a cold Monday night. We parked at street parking across the restaurant without issue. Inside, we were promptly seated. The inside is nice and dim with an open kitchen. We started the night off with the Fondue. The rosemary buffs were delicious and the perfect vehicle for the two different dips - goat cheese fondue and pecan pepper jam. I really enjoyed the goat cheese. It was nice and hearty, pairing very well with the bread. The pepper jam added a sweet touch but I'm more a savory person so I was more than content with the cheese itself. My mom got the papparadelle and bolognese while I got the sausage pizza. The papparadelle was nice and al dente. It paired well with the bolognese sauce. However, I felt it was warm when it came out so it got cold quickly. The sausage pizza was delicious! The star of the pie were easily the carmelized onions - added such a perfect level of sweetness that it really elevated the whole dish. The crust also went well with the cheese from the fondue. At this point in the evening, we were feeling pretty full. Nonetheless, our waiter, Seamus, knew it was my mom's birthday. With that in mind, he treated us to the donuts. They came with chocolate sauce and strawberry jam. Both were good. I personally preferred the chocolate since that's what I usually lean more towards. We thought it was such a nice gesture. The night was that much more special because of Seamus. Overall, althrough everything wasn't perfect (not that it should have been), the work and effort was clearly there. Looking forward to coming back again one day.

My parents were in town and we decided to come here for my birthday in fact. Usually, we would have walked. Though it was pretty cold outside. There's a small lot that's right at the entrance (or back) of the restaurant. However, in the likely case that it's full, there's a spacious lot that's nearby next to the parking garage as well. Inside, we were quickly seated. Our waitress brought out our drinks promptly. We knew what we wanted so we ordered then and there as well. For appetizers, we got the Artichokes Classique. I'm not the biggest artichokes fan. I may or may not have been trying to convince my parents that I have a sophisticated adult palate and this looked like it would do the job. The artichokes were lightly fried with a crispy exterior. They retained their earthy, taste. Paired well with the slightly spicy, garlicky calabrian chile aioli. My dad got the Chicken Parm Sandwich. It was nice and meaty - solid chicken parm! What really stood out, in my opinion, was the side caesar salad. They used whole gem lettuce as opposed to romaine which I felt offered a better texture, presentation, and helped with the dressing distribution. My mom, or rather all of us, got the Chorizo y Miele which was their pizza of the month for Feburary. Without a doubt, it was one of the many highlights of this night. It's a sweet-spicy pizza with rich, salty sausage accented by an appropriate amount of habanero honey drizzle. I had never had sweety drop peppers but it was such a nice addition in terms of presentation for the month of February, texture with the slight cruchiness of the whole pepper, and flavor with the slight spice. Last but not least, the texture of the pizza was phenomenal. The crust had that nice smokey flavor - perfect base for all of the ingredients on top. Finally, I got the Truffle Carbonara. Rich. Decadent. Mindblowing. This is easily one of the top three carbonaras that I have ever had. It was so delicious. The truffle flavor is not overwhelming at all - just the right amount. Lastly, I want to comment on the stellar service. We were checked on frequently by our wonderful waitress. Additionally, since it was my birthday, we had brought a cake from a bakery to the restaurant. Not only did she offer to store the cake in the fridge, but she made sure that we had enough plates, silverware, and even a lighter for the candles. Truly made sure that the evening was special! Overall, I'm looking forward to one day coming back to Cane Rosso. From trying the unique monthly pasta and pizza specials to the wonderful service, you can't go wrong with a meal here!

We grabbed a booth and ordered a large pepperoni, and it didn't take long before it came out hot and smelling unreal. First bite--crust had that perfect balance of crispy on the outside but still soft inside. The sauce actually has flavor (which a lot of places miss), and they don't skimp on the toppings. Cheese pull was legit too. You can tell this isn't some cookie-cutter chain pizza. Service was friendly and super laid-back. No rush, no attitude--just good people making good food. This is the kind of spot you don't overthink--you just keep coming back. Definitely adding it to my regular rotation. If you're in the area and want real pizza, this is it.

When I took my first bite, it was immediately obvious the pizza was not fresh. The cheese wasn't hot or melty like a freshly made pizza should be. Instead, it appears they used pre-made slices that were already sitting out and combined them to make a 14" pizza. I did not receive a fresh pie--just reheated, old slices passed off as a new pizza. That's unacceptable, especially at this price point. If a customer orders a fresh large pizza, it should actually be made fresh, not assembled from leftover slices and warmed up. Very disappointed and I will not be returning to this location. Customers should be aware that ordering a "fresh" pizza here may result in exactly what I experienced--a rip-off.
