We loved the results so much that we contacted Carpet Source Flooring again for a much larger job: wood-look luxury vinyl in our Living Room, Kitchen, Bathroom, hallways, and 2 Bedrooms. I always called the showroom before visiting because I know the owner is often out checking on jobs in progress, and had no problem finding times we were both available to meet. I was encouraged to take samples home to see how they looked in our house, (not just chosen from a book or a website.) Some products had websites that would help you view the product in each room. In this post-Covid era, waiting for materials to be delivered is a little challenging, but when the materials arrived, the company worked with us to schedule installation when it was best for us. The crew was amazing. Great communication at all times. They worked hard not to inconvenience us even with such a large job to tackle. They were patient with my questions, and helpful in every way. They kept work areas clean and organized. The best thing about the company is their quality workmanship. All application, trim work, clean up, (and even getting rid of a floor-squeak,) was done exceptionally well. It's a relief to have such nice flooring (it's now much easier to clean.) These reviews seem to be a few years back. We have had our quartzite natural stone (not quartz…read morewhich is basically reglued rock dust!) countertops for over a year (installed circa summer of 2023). Initially there was excitement. Quartzite is extremely dense and hard to work with, much more than mere granite. It takes many times longer to cut quartzite. The original cutting cracked on the machine. (We did get a lovely souvenir piece of it). To our surprise without asking, Solid Surfaces then cut the replacement in one big piece rather than two as usually done, which left no seams in the large L-shaped piece. It took a crew of five to haul in and place the main piece plus an island and two other pieces. Taj Mahal quartzite has an elegance that we admire every day. Best choice ever which we use everyday (although we do baby it to keep up the original appearance, cleaning up to not let anything stand on it for long).

Paul used high pressure to start a job and did not follow…read morehard wood best practices (nor did he give me guidance that a 5" board stability would be a problem). Look up Craig Dupra for best practices. Our floors have 2/3 coats because Paul suggested we wait for the final coat due to painting. This resulted in cupping above the basement. We had to get a dehumidifier and fix a clogged gutter to resolve our basement moisture. He wanted to re-sand and finish the floors for an extra $8,500. This could have been avoided if we used a stable engineered hardwood over the basement. He claims he did everything right by measuring floor moisture, but as a craftsman he did not do the work according to our best interests. Now he's calling me about getting paid for work he didn't do 2 years later. I don't get it, but I absolutely will not recommend him. He left his broken ladder in our garage and asked us to save a built in, which cost us in labor. He never took either, even when I asked. Do not use American Flooring. Paul had a temper and made my wife cry. I do not recommend. He yelled at my contractors that it was their fault when it was his own. And he would not fix the transition to tile that was his issue due to the flooring. Tile should have gone down first because it does not bend. There are so many issues we could have avoided with better flooring advice and the order of operations. If you bought a fixer upper you need to solve any moisture issues in the basement before replacing hardwood flooring. I used to recommend him, because I think he can do good work. He re-nailed our entire subfloor with special screw like nails. This helped to eliminate almost all squeaks. But after he called me and cursed at me, I definitely do not recommend him.

I highly recommend listening to what Paul Sr. suggests. I'll admit, at first he came in very confident. After the job was done, I now understand why. Just amazing is all I can say. You wont be dissatisfied if you have them refinish your floors. He showed me every step along the way and explained everything very thorough. By the end of the job I was looking for more to have them do because I was so happy with them.

My wife and I are happy with the turnout! I purchased new flooring from Bills and just had it installed. The installers, Chris and Tommy from Veteran Pro LVP Flooring, did an excellent, professional job. I highly recommend the installers. They get 5-stars Bills' direct sales team and schedulers lack customer responsiveness once the sale has been made and paid for! There is no follow-up or callback when leaving messages or needing questions answered. The floors and carpet have been installed for over a month. They had to come back out to requote the stairs that we had already paid to be sanded and turned out like crap; been over three weeks still waiting. After follow-up call number two last Friday(5/16), I was told the treads came in, and I should get a call on that day or Monday. Today is 5/22, and there is still no call to schedule the installation; a third call/text-out has been made, and we are waiting! It's embarrassing to have people come over!
