There was also black out blinds which I really appreciated. The climate control was great, and not too loud when it kicked on. The room was tidy and nicely laid out. The bathroom was great with a huge mirror lining one wall. The beds were a bit stiff, but not bad, lots of pillows to choose from and the sheets were alright, a bit loud when you moved but comfortable. One really nice perk was the complementary house coats in the room, that was a nice touch. Not sure if I would want to pay the summer prices for this room, but it was great for our price in the winter.

We were pleased to find this place last second on Google at a reasonable price. Neighboring hotels…read morewere requiring a 5 day minimum stay for a lot more when we had only intended to stay for a weekend for a wedding. Fortunately, they did not have such outrageous requirements. We were kind of amused to find that the cheaper lake facing rooms were $20 less than the closer lakeside rooms which were right next to the street with little to no view in contrast to the beautiful view we had. We rolled in at 630am after driving all night and were greeted by a warm older couple that owns/manages the place. Unfortunately the check in is later on in the afternoon (230 I think) and they were unable to flex for us despite being destroyed exhausted. The rooms are kind of like something you'd see out of a 70's Miami Scareface movie (dated and bright colours you'd expect to see down there). While it looked dated the first smell we were greeted by when we walked in was the smell of cleaning agents but the AC was turned off so it was stifling hot in there. It had a full kitchenette in there and a table. If you had a guest there was a pull out couch bed. The air conditioner filter in our room needed to be cleaned or something as it smelled dirty. The room was however spotless and the same could be said about the pool. I kind of wish they replaced the towels on our second day there but not too big of a complaint. The place was otherwise flawlessly kept up despite the dated design style (although freshly painted). The hotel is about 200 feet from the lake and really close to many of the areas most impressive wineries including the Cya Later Ranch, and the Blasted Church with both equally spectacular views. The beach is sandy and has a nice little path to walk on. If you're looking for a cost effective place to spend a weekend this is a nice little place that doesn't have the online presence it deserves so here I am the first reviewer!

I had actually been here before about 10 years ago with my parents and also loved it then. But with a huge group of amazing friends and family it was over the top awesome. Overlooking Skaha lake and only 10 min to Penticton this place cannot be beat. It is a throwback to a simpler time. White-washed Greek villa style home with eclectic, randomly designed rooms. If you like consistency, wifi and satellite TV...please move on. This place is not for you. But, if you like to explore finding new things around every corner, enjoying the simple things in life like amazing food (the breakfasts are insanely good - i will venture to say the best breakfast buffet I have ever had!), strolls in the hills, wine and cheese in your own little corner with view, picking fresh fruit from trees (the most amazing yellow plums, apricots, pears etc), star gazing, late night hot tub and lounging by the pool... then please do not miss this place. And the rooms sparkled.. Not a spot or piece of caulk out of place. The one nitpick I have is that breakfast, though delicious, feels overpriced at $20 a person (and I got one less egg than my husband, what's up with that? while I weigh half as much, I'm a glutton and can pack the food away twice as fast). But guests are more than welcome to skip that and eat yummies at the cafe across the street or at Walla cafe a kilometer or two away. Altogether highly recommended and we hope to return.
