I had some photos taken of my dog and me here in May. The service was great--friendly and professional. Although we ran into several issues with shipping the prints and I didn't receive them until September (most of the issues were out of their control), they stayed in touch with me and kept me updated throughout the process. Ok so. I drove a ways I was totally in a panic couldn't finde my make up my kid lost one earing a tree blacked the road I was 30 mins late and sweating like a pig. He was so polite and was like lets relax. I myself am a photographer so im already over thinking this. He did breakdowns with few snaps but the ones he got were good ( I am known to b snap happy) I have issues with my post baby body everything just isn't were it was. But the photos were amazing. Simple. I thought id need all these backgrounds and props. AND this was for my daughters first birthday and he captured her WILD personality and her stunning beauty in every shot. It was really expensive....like in los Angeles its not always that expensive. But im really we went with such beautiful professional studio for our first family photo and to document her first year!! I will say, I run the same editing uploaded system and I know how easy and how free it is for him to put every raw image on a cD for me......I mean I do understand he dose not want any unfinished work out of the studio and so every photo must b perfected and editing is time so I should have to pay for the time. So I respect that hustle. But yea amazing and I havent even sean the done photos lol read more

I'm not a very creative person and I always rely on photographers to help me create a beautiful picture. I feel like Artisan photographers kind of let me down on this. I was hoping to use a sash I wore in my wedding for my daughter's new born pictures and the photographer didn't really incorporate it at all in the pictures. Plus for the price we paid, I didn't really like the pictures measured up to my expectations. I felt that their pricing was a little sketchy. The first thing I let them know was that I was planning on using the photos for the birth announcements. I was told it wouldn't be a problem. Then when I asked how much it was I was told they would work on a package that was good for me. I paid $900 for 7 pictures, where were all smaller than 11x7 and most of them were 5x7's. It also did not include digital pictures or rights to the pictures. I was told that would be another $99 per picture. Sigh, so I bought 7 very plain new born/family pictures. Oh well lesson learned. read more

Just left the following on Google Reviews, but I will also post it here because it sums up our excellent experience with Artisan Portrait: We had a great family portrait experience with Kibbee and Artisan Portrait, and I can't recommend him highly enough if you are looking to invest in quality work. We currently live in New York, but grew up in the Northwest, and when we were back to visit family recently, decided to get some outdoor portraits. Kibbee found the exact kind of location we wanted near a river outside Post Falls, and got to work on lighting and background. Kibbee's humor and knowledge of what he was looking for got my daughters smiling and relaxed, and he took his time to get a number of poses/locations so we had many options to choose. I have been working with Kibee for many years on my portraits for my professional life but just recently we used him for our staff photos. Kibee is a very talented photographer able to capture high quality images. He understands lighting and setting very well, and places people accordingly. During shooting he provides a casual easy going leadership style that is very easy to follow. He was able to capture some really impressive images of our children- one of whom is notorious for not being easy to photograph naturally. His pricing included the prints, frames, and installation. We are very pleased with final product, which looks really great in our house. We let him choose the frames and went with his suggestion on layout, and he did a very nice job. To summarize, he provides a great photo shoot experience and finished product. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that he does not provide printable digital images of the pictures you purchase. The 'social media files' that he does provide are low-resolution thumbnails with a watermark. read more
