Great view from the room. This is the view of the hotel from popular grove winery. The hotel has a private beach with bar service. The restaurant has an amazing view on the lake. The beach next to the hotel is great. We will return!

We stayed here for a family reunion. It was a great location ( right on the water, as the name suggests ) The lobby was nice, check in was quick and easy. The room was ok. Could of been updated a bit. The bed was comfy, and it was rather quiet, despite being sold out that weekend. It was also very clean. Toiletries left a bit to be desired, but the complimentary bottles of water made up for that. It was central enough that we could walk downtown and explore. There was a Farmers Market pretty much in front of the hotel, across the street on Saturday. In the hotel, there is a pub we ate lunch at. At nighttime it is more of a nightclub, and does get very busy. There is also a more formal dining restaurant we all had dinner at. The food and service was much better then the pub, but that was reflected on the price. All in all, it was a decent hotel that accommodated the entire family ( 25 people apx ) and met our needs. I think I'm just used to staying in more modern hotels, and thus it gets 3 stars as opposed to 4.

The view of the lake from our room was beautiful. Conveniently located and they offer two dining options which is perfect. The staff was accommodating and friendly. We stayed in the newer wing so the room was modern and nicely laid out. They were doing construction during our stay so it was noisy in the morning and the trucks/equipment were a bit of an eyesore but looking forward to the long term goal of making the rooms nicer. Will definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel 35 years ago. Love the Barking Parrot for happy hour. Thur have a band on the weekend from 5pm to 8pm. I booked us for my husband birthday weekend. The hotel was sold out but I managed to call and get a room. Score! Not realizing we would be in the new tower. Very happy! Nice room. The workman ship was average and is already showing wear and tear. Love the set up. Large bathroom, great shower, fire place & comfortable bed. The pillows don't match the bed as they are small and firm. Love the bar bed set up. Has a microwave and coffee maker. The dancing on the weekend could use a better DJ or better yet the band who plays at happy hour! Nice beach but they could clean it up. I picked up glass 2 times and garbage. They need to take and dredge it. The patio light stayed on all night which lite up the room all night. Lots of debree. I would defiantly stay here again.

Breakfast at the Hooded Merganser. AWESOME!

We stayed here for two night in a king suite to celebrate a 70th. birthday. We found the room a bit small...beautiful views of OK lake. The one thing we didn't like was when you looked down from the fifth floor you could see the dumpster. (Should be hidden behind a wall). The bathroom had NO hooks to hang anything and the water pressure was low. The pool/hot tub need attention. Lots of rust. The change room is small. I have to give a shout out to CHRIS the bellman....he was VERY pleasant and went above and beyond. The food at the Hooded Merganser was AMAZING and RANDI the server was EXCELLENT! All in all it was a great experience. Thank you

Noise... People drunk screaming during the night (after 2am...)

Perfect place to find people drunk! I was there during the holiday (Victoria Day) and under my balcony had 2 bars. Too much noise! And many people drunk arrived after 2am screaming like a crazy. I posted a pic with the warning: "to avoid patio noise, please close door". Pool ok Good location The food ok

Dirty bathroom. AC doesn't work and patio doesn't lock. What a poor hotel for over $470 per night!

We booked a room here for a short 3 night stay and were excited to find an internet rate of $71 a night plus tax. When I arrived, I was amazed at what such a low price can get you in Summerland!! I know it's not their peak season, but wow! Our room was ready when we arrived and we were excited to find an incredibly comfortable Queen sized bed, a full kitchen with stove and oven, fridge and freezer, and a big bath tub in the very modern and pretty bathroom. The room was small and a bit cramped, but that's mainly because they try and fit so much into a small space. Our room had a gas fireplace, TV, table and chairs, full kitchen, large armoire, full bathroom, and even a balcony with chairs and table. Everything felt new, fresh and clean. Some family members stayed in the two bedroom suite which had a partial lake view. They were supposed to be in the full lake front view two bedroom suite, but the hotel messed up. We had told them that we had 3 people over the age of 85 who would be sharing a suite. When we got there, they had put us in a suite with a great view, but it had stairs to a loft and the other bedroom was a Murphy bed that you had to move a 6 person table to access. Obviously that isn't going to work for our seniors. We were quite annoyed, but the new room was nice. It wasn't quite what we had asked for, but it was very nice. The full kitchens are really convenient, especially if you are staying a while. The bath tub had very high sides, and it could have used a safety bar or handicap bar to help you in and out. I'm only 36 and of average height, but the tub sides were really high for me and when you are wet, you could slip. They have free WiFi throughout the property, just ask for the pass code when you arrive and it's the same for every hot spot. Overall, the hotel is beautiful. You are steps away from the lake, minutes from downtown Summerland and the surrounding wineries. Penticton is a short drive away and I can't imagine there is anywhere nicer in the area.

I had actually been here before about 10 years ago with my parents and also loved it then. But with a huge group of amazing friends and family it was over the top awesome. Overlooking Skaha lake and only 10 min to Penticton this place cannot be beat. It is a throwback to a simpler time. White-washed Greek villa style home with eclectic, randomly designed rooms. If you like consistency, wifi and satellite TV...please move on. This place is not for you. But, if you like to explore finding new things around every corner, enjoying the simple things in life like amazing food (the breakfasts are insanely good - i will venture to say the best breakfast buffet I have ever had!), strolls in the hills, wine and cheese in your own little corner with view, picking fresh fruit from trees (the most amazing yellow plums, apricots, pears etc), star gazing, late night hot tub and lounging by the pool... then please do not miss this place. I cannot wait to get back!!!
