Before you book ask how many weddings are planned during your stay? If any avoid! Weddings equal yelling , screaming, assaults, etc. The place gets packed with rude dirty inconsiderate Alberta, lmd or foreign creeps that wreck everything at the resort from 7 am to 3 am. It's worse than a mental hospital with no rules! We had to have a weapon and travel in pairs. It's thunder dome! Triple lock your doors and put ear plugs in to not hear the screaming. Vacation in Ukraine or Palestine would be more relaxing. Avoid if you like your family! read more

Is this hotel really located in little sleepy Summerland? The Summerland Waterfront Resort is a gorgeous hotel with lovely accommodations. We booked a room here for a short 3 night stay and were excited to find an internet rate of $71 a night plus tax. When I arrived, I was amazed at what such a low price can get you in Summerland!! I know it's not their peak season, but wow! Our room was ready when we arrived and we were excited to find an incredibly comfortable Queen sized bed, a full kitchen with stove and oven, fridge and freezer, and a big bath tub in the very modern and pretty bathroom. The room was small and a bit cramped, but that's mainly because they try and fit so much into a small space. Our room had a gas fireplace, TV, table and chairs, full kitchen, large armoire, full bathroom, and even a balcony with chairs and table. Everything felt new, fresh and clean. Some family members stayed in the two bedroom suite which had a partial lake view. They were supposed to be in the full lake front view two bedroom suite, but the hotel messed up. We had told them that we had 3 people over the age of 85 who would be sharing a suite. When we got there, they had put us in a suite with a great view, but it had stairs to a loft and the other bedroom was a Murphy bed that you had to move a 6 person table to access. Obviously that isn't going to work for our seniors. We were quite annoyed, but the new room was nice. It wasn't quite what we had asked for, but it was very nice. The full kitchens are really convenient, especially if you are staying a while. The bath tub had very high sides, and it could have used a safety bar or handicap bar to help you in and out. I'm only 36 and of average height, but the tub sides were really high for me and when you are wet, you could slip. They have free WiFi throughout the property, just ask for the pass code when you arrive and it's the same for every hot spot. Overall, the hotel is beautiful. You are steps away from the lake, minutes from downtown Summerland and the surrounding wineries. Penticton is a short drive away and I can't imagine there is anywhere nicer in the area. read more

Clean modern rooms that were reasonably priced. I really liked the kitchenette feature! Bathrooms were really nice, and our room had a giant patio. Also, the coffee they put in the rooms is really good! Our area of the hotel was soooooo loud though. Every door slam from the housekeeping room woke us up, and those nice laminate floors? Make it so it sounds like your sleeping in a poorly insulated basement suite. Nice heated pool with a view, but the hot tub has no jets :( I'm guessing it's to keep it quiet, but it's pretty useless as a hot tub. Nice staff, free praking and wifi, robes in the rooms, overall a nice place! read more

Summerland or not, this is a beautiful resort located right next to the water. This is one of the largest suites I've ever stayed in and it came fully equipped: -full kitchen (dishwasher, stove, fridge, microwave) -2 armoires -gas fireplace -table & 4 chairs -couch -King bed (very comfy, nice linens) -2 TVs (one in the living room, one in the bedroom) The best part? The bathroom! It was roomy for two people to be in there. Love the deep soaker tub and separate shower. I loved that our patio had a table and chairs and faced the water. It was perfect for morning breakfast looking out over the water. All in all, a modern, new and spacious place to stay. read more

Summerland is a bit of a jaunt outside of Kelowna but it's totally worth it, the hotel is overlooking the lake and is a very relaxing space to spend a few days. We also picked this resort because it's dog friendly and we brought out pup with us. From the hotel we would walk along the lake to the dog friendly beach where he could play off leash and swim in the lake - this alone was worth 5* to me! There's a restaurant by the resort that's a bit pricey but overall was good, the rooms do have kitchenttes though so brining some items with you or doing a quick grocery store run would be highly recommended. read more

So I decided to go on a little toad trip for a few days and thought I'd check this place out. I booked a two bedroom executive suite and I was lucky being that it was long weekend an they also allowed dogs so great! I'm all in! The room had 20ft vaulted ceilings, was about 760sf, and very clean and well kept. Lots of choices of a variety of coffee and teas in your room which was a nice added touch. They had a doggy package containing treats, bowls etc also another added touch and its $25 extra per night for the dog. Good quality towels and robes, washer and dryer, great cable package and the gym is good too. The outdoor hot tub is right on the lake and it's clean and well kept and very nice and hot so it makes for a nice evening to chill in it at night and over look the lake. I was impressed st his fair the price was only $230 night. So cheap compared to what I usually pay at hotels sometimes anywhere from $450-1500 I'd say I'm pretty happy :) This elite Yelper gives it a big read more

My friends long time friend, Rhonda, works here and recommended coming. I am so happy she did. The resort is absolutely gorgeous. There is a cafe available downstairs and a bar right beside it which is super convenient. The pool is nice and heated, and there are 2 hot tubs and a place to BBQ. There is also a gym and a games room for kids. We are right on the water, where we have water toys available to use. The service is also exceptional. I will recommend this place and I will stay again. read more

Our room had a beam vaulted ceiling, fireplace, kitchen, kitchen eating area, front room and adjacent bedroom. We also had a small deck which was nice. Underground parking was convenient. read more

Pretty cool resort/hotel especially for those who's looking for a breather and getting away from the city. Great for spending good times (eg. Thanksgiving) with family and friends. The suite that we had got it all and we just simply bought groceries from Nesters and cook it in here. The hotel has a small pool and hot tub, and is located right on the water. The hotel is pet friendly, and the walking path that goes along the waterfront is easily accessed from the hotel. I walked our dog on a beautiful Okanagan morning, in the sunshine, along the lake to a very nice dog beach. I had a lot of troubles with the hotel wireless Internet, otherwise it would have been a 5 star rating. Right next to the hotel is an excellent upscale lounge and restaurant. read more

Booked very expensive lakefront suite, was put on ground floor, no privacy on patio as people walking by constantly. Air-conditioning would not go below 22.7 as it was set by hotel, but it was over 30C outside. Common areas stiflingly hot, could not even eat in the bistro as it was too hot. Pool was filthy, debris and film on top. Main hot tub broken during our stay. Hotel booked a live musician and played loud music outside our suite all night and when I complained to the hotel they sited the noise bylaws were until 11 PM but asked them to shut it down by 10 PM after asking them twice. Suite was the smallest suite we have ever been in, only love seat and chair for sitting but very uncomfortable space. Sofa was torn. before the next person checks in. If you book lake front, view is nice, don't book the opposite side as there is a run down house across the street which takes away from the area. When I addressed the issues with the manager, he shut me down and would not even compensate us for our unpleasant stay at their resort. Will never come back to this resort. read more

Stayed here after a night in a crappy place in Pendicton. It is an amazing hotel with everything you need. I really enjoyed the hot tub and pool. It's very clean. The only thing is i feel it's a bit over priced at 400/night. Wish they can bring the prices down a bit but you definitely enjoy every moment here. read more

Nice place, but be careful when they quote you over the phone as they don't tell you the rates are for one night even though you may ask for a two day total. Its a shock when you go to check out and it looks like they have charged you double. I had trouble with the internet as well, its really slow. read more
