Gyro Rice Bowl
Mia M.

They're a good, busy little shop. The employees were super friendly, and the line moved quickly. Indoor seating was functional, but I usually prefer non-hightops. However, the person I was meeting there arrived before me. The menu is very customizable, which I loved. The Gyro rice bowl was good and a decent sized portion. Thankfully, the restaurant has lids so I could take my leftovers home. From what I noticed, the restaurant stayed busy and was quite loud with the guest and kitchen noises. It wasn't too loud, and I was still able to successfully have a productive lunch meeting, so I would recommend it for anyone looking for a casual, quick bite. Pros: - Good food - Generous portion - Friendly service - Efficient service Con: - I wish they would have given a larger portion of sauce for the bowl, it felt a little dry.

I had to report for jury duty recently at the courthouse downtown, so Nate and I decided to have a lunch date and stopped by Parsley. It was a Monday around 11:30 am and they were a bit busy with to-go orders and a few people in the restaurant. The person taking our order at the counter was awesome! I wish I got their name. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and told to ask questions or if we needed recommendations to let them know. The menu consists of salads, rice bowls, wraps, appetizers, and some sides. It had been a while since I'd been to Parsley, but I had an idea I wanted a wrap of some kind, so I got the chicken Caesar salad wrap and Nate got a small Greek salad with a side of fries. You can add toppings to your wrap or bowl, but I just got the wrap as-is. Again, the employee ringing up our order was so friendly, kind, and helpful - I need to stop in again and get their name. We were told our order number would be called shortly and directed to utensils, water cups, etc. The dining room is pretty spacious and I like sitting at the windows to people watch. Our food came out quickly and everything was super fresh, and the fries were extra hot! The chicken Caesar salad wrap was full of tender chicken and the pita was soft, not stale. All the lettuce was crunchy and I loved the parmesan in the wrap. I am not typically a big fan of Greek salads, but theirs is amazing! The dressing is so delicious and I loved that it wasn't covered in big slices of raw red onion. There is onion on the salad but it must be chopped. The small size was perfect for us to share with the rest of the meal. I commented that next time I'd just order a large one to split. It was so good. The fries were thick steak cut fries, which were super hot and delicious. They do have a full bar at Parsley, which makes it a nice spot for dinner. Pro tip, park in the Monroe Center parking lot (attached to Leo's) for some free parking on weekdays before 6 pm.

Quick, easy, delicious. This place was perhaps my favorite meal in Chicago. Staff were friendly and we got our food with 3 minutes of ordering. Loved the lentil soup.

Parsleys is darn good Mediterranean food, and reasonably priced. They have a small seating section outside but most seating is inside.

Overpriced but very very good. Very clean. Excellent service. The food was absolutely out of this world. Generous portions of the bread that comes with the hummus. Bathroom is extremely clean.

Food was delicious! Seasoning on point loved it, I ordered on their website to pickup; prices are different from the Yelp app and their website. Friendly staff and spacious restaurant to dine in.

This was great salad loaded with great vegetables . The falafel was just the right addition to the salad. This just the right place to eat when I am downtown and need a good plant based meal.

I work in one of the attached buildings, so my coworkers and I will often head to the food court to…read moregrab lunch. I have noticed that over the past year, this stand has changed at least once, but it's always been a Mediterranean type of casual spot where they make your food in front of you. I wanted a salad recently and saw they had a kale salad on their menu at Damascus. The menu board said it was $5 for a "regular" and $8 for the larger size. I ordered the regular kale salad and asked to add gyro meat. When the order rang up, it came to $15 after tip! I was a little shocked but didn't say anything since I didn't know if maybe he misheard me or the prices weren't correct. Either way, it was a little shocking and I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought he'd make the salad right there, but someone in the back brought out a bag to me. It felt heavy! I opened up the container and had to laugh - it was a massive portion of gyro meat completely covering up the small salad! I did get my money's worth, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. Either way, the salad itself was delicious. Honestly it was too much meat, even for me (a meat lover), and some of it was a bit dry. I know my coworkers enjoy the bowls at this spot (but they have also mentioned how the price can vary wildly for them) so I may try one of those next time I'm in the mood for something a little healthier.

It's the best gyro place around Grand Rapids since Mr. Gyro closed. My only complaint is their hours aren't always what is posted. We live nearby and will try to stop in for take out for dinner and they haven't been open many of the times we have tried to eat there.

Oh. My. Heavens. For…read morethose that don't know, I will only leave a review if I'm extremely impressed or very disappointed and dissatisfied. I'm a huge snob, even when it comes to dive restaurants. I have resolved to only write positive reviews on places that I believe truly deserve the praise they have earned. This is one of those places. This joint is completely unassuming. Sparse decoration, low drop-tile ceiling, brightly lit (too bright for your usual Mediterranean joint), HDTV menus near the front register... But, does a restaurant need anything other than a great menu and delicious, freshly prepared, well-spiced fare to be an amazing experience? I answer loudly "NO!" This restaurant is wonderful. They serve some of the best Mediterranean food I've had, and I've been many places throughout the US and internationally. Finding this in my own back yard makes me so happy to live in GR. My wife and I split the spicy feta fries, which neither of us could stop shoving in our mouths. Now, a bit about me - I survived a massive heart attack five years ago. Five bypasses. Month in a coma. Six months learning to walk again. I SHOULD NOT BE EATING FRIES!! And yet... I couldn't help myself. Each bite was perfection in crispy potato form. And a heavy garlic presence. The toum is worth it. Completely worth it. Gives Sheshco a serious run for best in town. Not greasy or too "mayonnaise-y." She had the shish tawook ("chicken kabob") and I had a gyro pita. Her chicken was stunningly tender and temptingly well-seasoned. Rice was floral and delicious. Hummus, not quite garlicky enough, but smooth and refreshing. And the Nutella cheesecake was heavy and smooth and wonderful. My gyro was obviously done in-house, same as the pickled turnips ("liyft"). love pickled turnips, and I truly believe that these aren't the commercially available jarred ones. Gyro meat was well-spiced, perfectly tasty and amazingly tender. The service was warm and friendly. Wife and I will be back again...and again. We hope to see you there!! Worth a drive and some time. Bring an empty tummy and get ready to enjoy!!

Our host was super kind, helpful with the menu and had a sense of humor. Grape leaves - I believe it was cold if I remember, and it's a softer/mushy texture. The host called it "Turkish Sushi." It was good and different! Appetizers- phenomenal. Fresh, hot, flavorful. We had cheese served on a hot stone, it was beautiful. Nothing was over or under seasoned. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nice fry, nice bake, nice sizzles. Salmon was cooked just right. Calamari was fried great and had a good crunch. Feta borek reminded me of crab cheese ragoons. I love the way it's prepared though, even bites and good flaky crunch. The shell is light and wasn't greasy. Baklava was delicious. Rice pudding was delicious. Drinks were on point. 10/10 will be back again!

Zeytin serves authentic Turkish cuisine along with other middle eastern and American food. A table favourite was the Pepper Delight. Basically, chopped red and green peppers combined with walnuts and tomato. I highly recommend both the Rice pudding and the Fried calamari. Nice big plate I had almost all to myself. The service was friendly and somewhat attentive. My friend, Darius, ordered the Chicken shish kebab and the pita was dry, cold and stale. They immediately returned with fresh, hot, moist bread. The wait for the initial order and drink refills was a bit longer. The dining area is large, yet cozy. The eatery has a very embracing, warm ambiance and it's a great gluten-free zone. The guy that suggested we stop here eats vegan. 01/26
