We had 3 rugs cleaned. Two turned out great but the cheapest rug we had cleaned had an odor that smelled and they said since it was a synthetic rug the small couldn't be removed after 2 washes. We paid about $1800 for 3 rugs and should be bought a new rug. The other two rugs (one silk and one wool) turned out great. read more

Mo came to pick the rug up and explained options and cost differences. He also explained the cleaning and repair processes, which I appreciated. PARS performed a miracle on my 9 x 12 living room area rug after it got horribly stained. We didn't think it could be salvaged but it looks like new. They also cleaned and repaired a smaller oriental rug that had a torn edge (see photo) and mangled fringe from negligent cleaners wielding a vacuum. PARS provides a *quality* service. I had put off having my Persian carpets cleaned for a long time. Parties, spills and an older dog had taken their toll. So much so, that I had banished 2 to the garage. Moe took it all in stride and noted that dogs are great for his business. Rather than just rolling them up, he folded, and tied and lugged them to his vehicle like the pro he is. There was no pressure, he gave me an estimate and explanation about the cleaning process and invited us to come to his business and view the rugs after they had been cleaned. I am very pleased with the results, and he was concerned with the after life of the carpets and gave us some pointers for storage until we are ready to put them out again. But for the most expensive carpets, I'm going to put out the other ones so I can enjoy them now that I know Moe and Pars Area Rug Services are just a call away. As a side note; when we went to his gallery, he showed us beautiful rugs and shared their history. Super glad to meet Mo, I had an older Oriental rug that is pretty worn but didn't know whether it was valuable at all or worth repairing or just getting rid of it. Mo came out to my house and looked at this rug and another one too and gave me a great price on refurbishing it as well as some advice on where it was made and when and how much it would be worth in good condition to help us decide. I can tell the work was great because my daughter was allergic to at least one of the rugs. But after the cleaning, she is no longer sneezing while playing on the same rug. Pars has cleaned 2 of our rugs and we cannot be more satisfied nor, do i see going anywhere else in the future. Our first rug to be cleaned was a 9 foot round silk rug. There was no damage, it just needed cleaning after being stepped on for a decade. Mo came by, picked it up and a couple of weeks later, Mo came and dropped off a clean rug. Our second rug, Mo would not commit to getting out the stains but said he could clean and fix the wool strands that our dog had pulled from it's weave. Weeks later, Mo came to drop the rug off and what most impressed me, he wanted to unroll the rug and put on our floor so he could show the work he had done. I no longer see pride in workers or owners, not sure who Mo is to Pars, but i appreciated he cared about the rug enough to want to unroll the rug onto our floor immediately, to show his work. Mo, we were impressed, the pulled wool was woven back in as if it was never damaged. The stains, almost gone, only I could see them because I knew where they were however, no one else sees the stains. I only wished I found him earlier. I will also say, prices are fair. I just had a several thousand dollar area rug repaired by Moe and his team at Pars. The rug had been ravaged by our new lab puppy who had gotten out of his crate while we were gone for an hour. I didn't think a little dog could do so much damage in such a short amount of time but Henry did! There were four areas on the rug that needed attention with one hole needing great attention. Given the quality of the rug and the need to do a great job, Moe provided the craftsmanship and the communication throughout the process by providing pictures along the way. In a disposable society, it is comforting to know there are still people like Moe who maintains the skill and craft of weaving. I remain so impressed. I came across Pars Rugs which is in my hometown of Danville and went in to look at Mehdi's rugs. I am an avid Persian rug lover and owner of many rugs and asked him for a cost comparison on a rug I had previously purchased. Mehdi (Mo) was literally half the cost I had previously paid for my beautiful rug and I ended up purchasing a beautiful antique Sarouk from him. He came to my home to make sure the rug would go well in my home and said he would clean it for me and do any minor repairs. While at my home, he took measurements for all of my rugs for insurance appraisals and also recommended a backing and cleaning of my Isfahan. Mehdi completed all of this work within three weeks, was incredibly reasonable in all of his fees and my new rug and my Isfahan look fabulous.
