Ok, I have had many doughnuts but these layered donuts are so light, airy, and packed with amazing flavor. I tried the maple bacon donut and can't stop thinking about it. Just amazing. Loved it so much I needed to bring some of their bite size donuts back for the family for them to try these airy morsels. I joined there club and will be back for sure. Probably a good thing they are in Lake Orion and not downtown Rochester or I would be a regular for sure. These donuts were delicious! I did not go to the shop, they were brought in to us and I got a chance to enjoy them. I loved the amazing variety and creative flavors. These were some of the best tasting donuts in Michigan I have had in a very long time. I was able to try an apple churro looking donut, a small filled donut, and a cookies and cream tasting donut. I especially liked the cookies and cream. I also tried some sort of sauce. I am not sure if it was chocolate, but it was very good. The donuts tasted fresh, they were flakey and soft, I could eat a whole dozen. I would love to visit the store front some day. It looks like they have food and coffee. It also looks like a franchise. I wish they were open later, because closing at 4:00 makes it hard to go after work and I get to work before it opens. I would also like to see more donut shops open up, perhaps one closer to where I live. So, this seems like a weekend adventure for me to visit. read more

I had always wanted to try Parlor Doughnuts and I am so glad I finally did! The employee greeted me with a smile and let me know that they can make any donut fresh. With it being 20 minutes to close, I asked him what his favorite donut that's already in the case is. He kindly insisted that I didn't limit my options, and I ended up ordering the peanut butter cup one made fresh! The donut was warm and there was chocolate and peanut butter sauce on top. I loved how fresh it was compared to donuts that have been sitting in a case! I also got an iced brown sugar latte which went well with the donut. The fantastic service and freshness of food made my first experience here a great one! read more

I've been wanting to try Parlor Doughnuts since I heard how popular they are in other areas. They are basically a cro-nut with various toppings. So, the base is good but...basic. I do have to say, the Bourbon Caramel was excellent! We also got specialty coffees but they weren't very big and not different or unique. read more

If you are in the Lake Orion vicinity (in the case of this place I would call 30 miles reasonably) I highly recommend you stop in here. Now I have to admit I really don't like doughnuts but I tried one just to be polite. Oh my God, what an awesome doughnut, it really is unlike anything I have ever had before. It was like a cross between a doughnut and a croissant, but I am not doing it justice, you have to try one to really understand. The coffee is excellent as well, they invested in some very high end French espresso machines that make an excellent cup. I was told about this place so I gave it a shot. It was late in the day but they offered to make anything I wanted. I chose from what was there: banana cream pie and apple fritter. They each had a fresh crunch as if they were just made. The apple was okay. Too sweet. I didn't care for the filling. However, the banana cream was amazing. I don't even eat banana cream pie. I foolishly told myself it had fruit so it was healthy. Perfect filling and whipped topping. I savored them for hours. Everyone was very nice. Definitely need to return. However, they should be eaten the same day to truly enjoy the freshness. read more

So I'm driving down Lapeer road in Orion Township and lo and behold I get a hankering for a donut and there it is Parlor Doughnuts, so I stop in and OMG!!!!! Beautiful Doughnuts... they are by far the best doughnuts I've ever had, and I'm old and chubby so believe me I know my doughnuts and these are worth traveling for... I'm pretty sure they do a different variety everyday, and once there gone that's it... What can be said that has yet been said? Very clean with great presentation of products. Only criticism I have is you need more than one person to make your coffee products. Ordered Carmel latte, avocado breakfast tacos, and a strawberry shortcake doughnut. Unfortunately received avocado toast, a vanilla latte, and a strawberry shortcake doughnut. It's a new restaurant so I'm not too mad, guessing the employees are new! Everything was great!!! Highly recommend the place and the restaurant is very clean. My first visit today. Although it was early afternoon and they advertised made fresh all day, the display case was just about empty. I really wanted to see what they looked like and not look at a picture. Suggest like crumble cookie have one of each on literal display. Coffee was like coffee at a Coney Island. I went the second day it opened to check it out, the lines were a bit long but moved very smoothly. The donuts are way too sweet for my family but we did try a dozen different flavors, which the best was bourbon maple in my opinion. Perhaps having a version not smothered in cinnamon sugar then topped with more sugar would make me return. The staff was very nice but overall I doubt I'd return. read more
