Charming neighborhood coffee shop! The coffee was pretty good, and the breakfast sandwiches hit the spot. I think it even turns into a bar at night, which adds to the vibe. Street parking is available around the building, and it's also dog-friendly--a nice bonus!

Living with dogs also means living in neighborhoods where dogs are easily accepted at local businesses and there is plentiful space when it comes to parks. Park Grounds is one of those extra dog friendly businesses, but the establishment also tries to balance it by having a covered patio where the furry friends are not allowed. Starting with first impressions, the rusty bike rack and the largely torn up interior create a general emotion of rustic and hipster vibe. The exterior is also quite hard to notice from the street as a non abandoned building. While I am not sure if hipster is even a term these days, I can clearly say that this is a coffee shop for those who prefer a unique atmosphere. Ordering coffee, the folks are very nice and coffee price seems pretty reasonable. Coming out to the patio where dogs are not allowed, there are loose boards and other discarded items, that I would summarize as trash, laying on the left side of it. There are people who were sitting and working there, but it just did not seem like a great place to chill although it was better then the torn up couch inside. Stepping out to the dog friendly patio, there is certainly a smell of dogs everywhere and while the chairs are not particularly clean, there is a gorgeous old tree creating an amazing canopy to sit under while listening to the sound of the birds. In fact, I'd argue that the tree is the main thing making this patio a place where one may want to spend a minute or an hour. Once the latte came out, the staff working here were kind to bring it over and serve it in a mug. The size of the latte was quite small despite ordering regular size and it was filled about 3/4 of the way in the already small mug. Even the foam did not reach near the top. While I do not want to appear stingy, this just seemed odd presentation wise. Perhaps there was a hidden message, but either the price needs to be adjusted or this latte was just not made to the right size. Trying it out, it was hard to describe it as a amazing. The flavor of coffee was fairly subdued and lacked expression, which was strange as I believe they serve CounterCulture fresh ground coffee. Tasting this latte, would have never guessed that. As a whole, the tree canopy creates a wonderful atmosphere and the team working here is kind. It's a small family run business with a single location, trying to give fair prices in todays inflationary world and there is certainly something to be said about that. Park Grounds is a unique spot, in some ways summarizing the culture of Reynoldstown neighborhood. The abandoned house vibe is something that some might see as a flaw, but perhaps others would find it to be part of the appeal. It is certainly not like any other coffee shop.

I've had ParkGrounds on my Yelp bookmarks list for literally years - and now that I finally got a dog... I stopped in during the long weekend to let my dog socialize with other dogs. Also - since my dog didn't have all the proper Bordetella and Listeria vaccines required for Fetch Park at the time (she is now up to date on both, but still haven't been to the snooty park yet) ParkGrounds seemed to be the next best option. Outdoor seating was plentiful - we found a table easily. There were plenty of tables but they filled up quickly since it was a holiday. Everyone was super receptive and friendly with their pups and others. Food & drink options are just. I ordered a latte and the grilled cheese sandwich. The chips that came with it were addicting. The sandwich was hot and cheesy and I was grateful. The latte kept me warm while watching my pup play with other pups and people. I do appreciate an affordable "dog park" that offers coffee and food at a reasonable price while watching unleashed pups enjoy each other's company. My biggest complaint is that this park isn't closer to my house!!

I really enjoyed my food here! Got a turkey pesto wrap and it was delicious! The outside area was really nice and convenient since we had our dog with us. I appreciated the friendly cashier and good service! I would be back!

Exploring a new part of Atlanta for me, East Atlanta, I searched on the map for the nearest coffee house near this weekend's home. I discovered ParkGrounds, a place that warmed my heart like my southern 90's days. A kind, woman greeted me in what seemed to be an art house meets smooth, delicious espresso kinda The perfect sized covered, wooded patio awaits for an early meeting spot one day. I'll take it, at least twice a week, if I'm in town.

ParkGrounds is a cute little cafe with a little twist: it has a dog park! This is just awesome! You can have your breakfast/snack/lunch/mimosa while you watch some dogs happily playing without a care in the world not worrying about climate change or taxes or inflation or if they should learn how to code... just happy dogs playing while you have your mimosa. A suggestion for management: it would greatly if if your burritos and other foods had a bigger size option. Or a side. That would be a winner for me

I was really looking forward to checking this place out. When I arrived, I was underwhelmed. It is street parking here, no parking lot. If you come on a rainy day or after it rains, it gets super muddy and wet outside in the dog park. Onto the dog park, they do provide trash can and poop bags. But if your dog is smaller, 20lb or under, the dog can fit through the inner gate and escape. If your dog is less than 10lb, don't come here, the dog would be able to escape through both gates. The size of the dog park is not very big. No grass. Has one bathroom inside but you cannot bring your dog to the patio section or inside the shop. I thought that was strange, dogs should at least be allowed indoor leashed. Tried two types of beverages and a sandwich. Sandwiches are reasonably priced enough, $7. Drinks were good enough, about $4 for a latte. The folks who work in the shop are OK, hit or miss.

This is such a fun place to take your dog and get some breakfast or coffee. There is an open dog park fenced in the back where you can enjoy a coffee or share breakfast with friends. I got a dirty iced chai with oat milk which was delicious and also got the hashbrown bowl with bacon. The hash browns were crispy and delicious. The bagel wasn't anything special but good! Really fun place to take your dog on a Saturday or Sunday morning in a cute area of town!

We had to make a decision quickly when we were pivoting, and when we came across the great reviews and photos of the food. we didn't think twice about checking to see if we could make it happen. When we arrived, the staff was already preparing our table, so we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

Title: Flavor Explosion, Soulful Hospitality & a Last-Minute Meal That Turned Magical…read more Let me just say this: what started as a "quick bite before closing" turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in a long time. We arrived at The Poach Social about 20 minutes before closing, unsure if we'd be rushed--but instead, we were welcomed with warmth and ease. Lived the ambiance. Hunter, our server, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel taken care of from the very start. Then came Victor, the owner and chef--and this is where things shifted from good to special. Without us even asking, he recommended a mocktail that felt like it was made just for me: a sorrel-based drink layered with ginger, spice, herbs, and fresh fruit. It was refreshing, balanced, and honestly one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I've had. We started with the jerk egg rolls... and I'm not exaggerating when I say we were clapping after the first bite. Crispy, juicy, flavorful, with a sweet-spicy sauce that just worked. We immediately knew we'd be taking more to go. For the main course, we ordered the Poach Social breakfast plate and the blackened salmon with polenta. The breakfast plate was comforting and well-executed, but the salmon dish? Absolutely unforgettable. Perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth texture, with creamy polenta and a rich sauce that brought everything together. It was a full-on flavor experience. The timing of everything--from drinks to apps to entrées--was seamless. Hunter checked in at the perfect moments, never too much, never too little. We ended up in a lovely conversation with Victor, who is not only talented but genuinely kind and passionate. He brought us complimentary slices of carrot cake, and even though we were already full... we ate every bite. No regrets. It was phenomenal. What I loved most is that this place doesn't just serve food--it creates an experience. There's intention, care, and heart behind everything. If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go. This place deserves to thrive. We will absolutely be back.

The cashier really leaned into the accent and took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, which made the whole experience feel more immersive and welcoming. Parking was easy on an early weekday afternoon -- always a win. The space works well for small parties, but be prepared: tables are small and seating is close together. One tip: avoid sitting upstairs in Eden. It's noticeably warmer than the rest of the restaurant, and you'll likely leave smelling like breakfast. Overall, a fun, themed spot with great service.
