They were able to fit me in that afternoon. Took the car over waited maybe 10 minutes at most before the mechanic came in and got my husband and me to come look at it. He walked us through everything that was and could turn into a problem. The car went from being in very good condition to good which helped with making the decision to buy or not to buy. For less than $15 he saved us thousands. Everyone who worked there were very friendly. Wish we lived closer I would make them my mechanic. Thanks again Pro Automotive

We called the 800 number that directed us to pick up a 20 ft. truck an hour away from our location. We had requested a smaller one, but due to a lack of trucks on this busy weekend we bit the bullet and got it. To confirm everything we called the day before so we wouldn't get any "surprises." Elliot's Garage was aware of the order, and it was correct. The man said that the truck was waiting for us. When we arrived at 7 a.m. the next morning (yes, we left our location at 5:45 a.m. so he wouldn't give the truck away) the clean truck was ready in the lot with the furniture pads we had requested. All went well. I recommend to call here first before you go to a place along the switchback roads of rural PA. Rt. 57 was doable with a long truck. Tip: Don't use the bathroom. Go to the Exxon Fas Mart up on Rt. 57.

Our car blew out the hose from the radiator and Jarred with Jolly's Classic Towing came and picked us up. This guy and this towing company is tops!! Apparently sime drivers wanted to go faster than the posted 45...which was what we were doing..and they were each driving very close to the car in front. We weren't in the same rush they were so my mother tried to find someplace to pull to the side so they may pass. Unfortunately she pulled over a tire killer pothole. Both front and back desperately flat. Well crap. Now what? Luckily we were able to get a phone call to AAA before the cloud cover came to negate service. We were in a fraught position as there really are no shoulders to pull over and we didn't want to cause any further damage by drivung on the rims (yep...that flat!) I volunteered to be the one to guide traffic so my mom could stay in the car to keep warm. Thankfully a parks service ranger came by and gave us some hazard triangles to use so I could warm up. We had to wait another 45 min until our 'savior' arrived. I have never been so happy to see a tow truck. We didnt want to be stuck on the Parkway all night. It was a tough tow for the driver as we were in a weird spot and the car was uneven but he got us on the truck. We asked if he would also take us and he said 'sure..no problem' which was a relief because AAA told us the tow would leave us. We asked him to put a mask on and he cheerfully obliged. He was super friendly and gave us a brief history of the area we were in. Turns out he and I had some shared experiences which just made the trip that much more agreeable. He got us to the tire place with no problems and only charged us $34 which seemed a great deal. He did leave a bit of a dent but considering it was a hard tow it was forgiveable. If you are ever in a bind near Meadows of Dan cheer up, Jolly's will come like knights of old to the rescue!

Say what? Fourteen hundred dollars for a catalytic converter?! No way! I've found that overpriced quotes are the norm in the DMV. When I get quotes like this, I immediately call my dad in southwestern Virginia. He possesses a wealth of car knowledge and when I tell him about the ridiculous repair quotes from shops in the DMV, he immediately calls around to the local car repair shops to find parts and better prices for labor. On this day we were directed to Performance Automotive by my dad's buddy by the name of Tadpole, that works at the Napa Car Parts Store. We were told that Performance Automotive, a family owned business, had a state of the art diagnostic machine. The Napa Store and Performance Auto are on the same street so it took us no time to get there. The garage is not directly located on the street so it took us a few minutes to find the garage. We arrived and were immediately serviced by a young lady with the infamous state of the art diagnostic machine in her hand. She hooked up my car and within minutes had a diagnosis. Turns out I don't need a catalytic converter. The service engine light could be an indication of numerous things. I was told not to worry as long as my car is running fine. She even told me I could drive to California at that very moment! :) My dad and I left confident in the diagnosis and relieved that I didn't have to spend any more money on my car!
