My wife & I take our vehicles there for our state inspections. We have been using them for the last 4 years & have no complaints.

Supposedly they had already done it so I had to accept it. You know like the extra groceries they charge you for at the store and you have to buy them because they already put them in the bag, or the when the plumber charged you for a new toilet though you only wanted it un-clogged but he already installed it, oh and it happens to be one them Japanese high tech toilets so it's thousands extra. But wait Gunter Automotive doesn't have a cool off period, and yes this it is in the contract so if you change your mind, suddenly they ain't so friendly no more. You are out of luck. Every other dealership I have ever dealt with has a return policy. And NO Gunter does not point this out for obvious reasons. So, I am just saying that, that is their policy I am sure most people will love to find this out. Here is the other great thing about Gunter. Their interest rates are the same even if the term period is shorter. All other finance companies will give you a lower interest rate for a shorter term (that is how long it will take to pay for the car) for those who may not know. Come to find out that they also assign your contract (basically sell it to another lender) and yet they may keep part of keep part of the intertest collected. How convenient. And yes that is right on the contract. I will continue to look into the business policies of these great people and keep you posted.

Nissan Quest engine died while traveling in Martinsville. AAA towed it to Blue Ridge Nissan…read more Problem #1, closed all day on Sunday. Problem #2: called on Monday morning to be informed that they could not even look at until Wednesday; would call me back then. One might think a stranded motorist would get some priority, but no. No call by mid-afternoon Wednesday. I called to be told that they were just getting to it. Nearing closing time and no call, so I called again. Diagnosis was no fuel to engine from pump in the tank. Replacement of pump would cost over $800, which seemed extremely high for a bolt-on part. I asked for the cost break down and was informed the pump cost was $464. Problem #3, that price is extremely high. I found a genuine Bosch OEM replacement part on Amazon for $174. I called an offered to have the part drop-shipped. They admitted that they are allowed to install customer parts but refused to accept my Amazon part shipment, with concerns about getting the wrong part. I told them I would accept full responsibility for all labor if I sent the wrong part, but they would not give in. They use O'Reiley parts all the time and the O'Reiley counter price for the part is $274. But they would only give me their "Matrix" price for the O'Reiley part which turns out to be about the same as the Nissan part. They knew they had me over a barrel. They gave me a $50 coupon discount on the job, but I still got screwed out of $240. An to add insult to injury, of four promises to call me by a specific time they never called; I had to call back each time.

Riverside Tire Service

Riverside Tire Service

This is the first time I have ever been so pleasantly surprised by a service company that I want to…read moredo something in return as a show of gratitude. Here goes... Needing to replace two front tires, and deciding to do so today, I contacted a few tire service businesses for product recommendations, quotes and time frame for installation for same-day service. Having been recommended by a long-time resident of Henry County, one of my calls was to Riverside Tire Service. Answering on the second ring, a kind and professional sounding gentleman, named Andy, took my call. He was patient and polite with my questions, and he was quick to review their inventory and to recommend a tire (similar to the ones I had on the car) that not only met my requests for performance and price, but exceeded them. At no point did he try to sell me services I did not inquire of, or more expensive tires. He told me what to expect for price and installation time (today by the way), and he was nearly exact on both counts. He estimated my total bill within $1.95 accuracy, and the entire service visit lasted 10 minutes less than what he told me to plan for on the phone (30 minutes). When I arrived (at most service center's lunch time), I was immediately greeted with a smile by a friendly man at the service garage desk. He was possibly a manager. A mechanic was headed in our direction and showed this manager obvious regard and respect, silently listening to what was asked of him, hands clasped behind his back, CLEAN and (possibly) uniformed (no black hands, untucked shirt, or disrepectful attitude or unecessary commentary). He took my keys and got right to work moving my car while manager person grabbed a hand truck (could the manager have been gathering my tires? You don't see that often!) and showed me to a waiting area where I "would be much more comfortable". Comfortable I was, in a very clean and climate controlled waiting room stocked with free coffee and magazines for any interest I might have. The room was comfortable and clean. I noticed a guest wifi network available, but did not ask to use it as my stay was so short. Two similarly friendly women working in the office section greeted me kindly and were expedient and thorough when my ticket arrived for payment processing. Conveniently, the ticket arrived and was processed just prior to the mechanic's completion. It gets better. The same nice man who greeted me walked me to my car, OPENED MY CAR DOOR FOR ME, and told me my tire indicator light would be on briefly assuring me it would soon go away. Within less than a mile the indicator light went off. My drive was so much smoother, and I am very pleased with how much better the car handles with my new tires. I also find the tires attractive and handsomely paired with the other two I will have replaced by Riverside Tire in the future. I applaud this business. Thank you for going above and beyond in all areas of customer service. In a time when "outstanding customer service" is more a catch phrase than a true mission statement, you set a standard for comparison. I am not in any way related to, friends with, or even aquaintanced with anyone affiliated with this business. I will not give my name as I want no recognition for this, one, and, two, fully anticipate the same level of service regardless of this review. I write this sincerely and with 100% honesty as a show of gratitude for the kindness and high level of service shown to me as a first time, mid-grade tire customer treated like a long time customer of the most expensive tires made. I will see Riverside again and many times more.

When I left the shop I was still hearing a squeaking sound when applying my brakes I thought maybe it was because they were new. It went on for about 2 months so I had my husband to take it another local tire shop and they tell him my rotors are bad and my 2 front tires are wearing on the inside. The service guy said this had to of been obvious to whoever put my brakes on. This was the first time I had received bad service from Riverside, usually they provide excellent service but I don't think I will be going back to Riverside.
