I have never experienced service this consistently bad at any establishment. What makes it worse is how overstaffed this place is, yet nothing seems to get done. On a previous visit, we sat in the dining room for over 20 minutes waiting just to get our check, and only received help after flagging down a busser. Today was my fifth visit and absolutely my last. I sat at the bar and waited 10 minutes just to get a beer, ordering food at the same time. Keep in mind, the only reason I even had a menu was from a local sitting at the bar that had got up and reached over to grab me one. There were 2 bartenders and what appeared to be a manager behind the bar and maybe nine guests total seated at the bar. I was seated at the very end, which the employees refused to come near or even look at. I finished my beer without a single employee acknowledging me again until my food arrived, mind you, bagged as a to-go order that was never requested. When I mentioned this, I was told I could simply take it out of the bag and eat it there. It felt like a group of college kids running around doing whatever they wanted instead of working. I have given this place enough chances over the last several months, just due to convenience of location. Beautiful restaurant and dining experience on the outside, unfortunately a mirage. Primary draw was an enticing menu and a reputation of partnering with local farmers and merchants. Well darn. I have mixed feelings about this one. The restaurant is beautiful. We walked in at about 4pm for dinner and we were the only ones in the place. Nice should get excellent service right? We ordered ice tea and calamari for the appetizer. Great start but it went downhill from there. We ordered the fish and chips for my husband and I opted for the Steak and Frites! After a modest wait time our food arrived at the table. I would have expected quicker service since we were still actually the only customers. My husband's fish and chips were beautiful and tasty. My steak arrived alone on a plate with the sauce on the side as requested. No Frites in sight! I asked the server doesn't this come with fries? And she says no? But I can get you some? I said no that's okay because I was worried that she would charge me extra for the fries! Clearly confused and frustrated I let it go. Mind you I paid $34 for about 6oz of steak and it sat there looking sad and alone! After a few minutes the server brought me a big bowl of Frites! Yes! Great someone must've explained to her that frites are indeed fries! Well great at least my steak had company now. The server never returned to the table, no refills on iced tea, no clearing of dirty dishes from our appetizer. Where did she go? She had one table to care for? The steak was cooked perfectly medium and tasted great! So overall the food is pretty good, even though I had to fight for my frites. Calamari was a bit chewy but pretty tasty overall. The service staff needs better training and knowledge of the menu. Maybe during all that free time they spend chatting at the bar could be used for training? We felt as though we interrupted break time and that we should have waited until a more appropriate "dinner" hour for our meal? Overall it was okay but we probably won't bother to drive out for this mediocre expensive restaurant. Disappointed. read more

I took my mom to Park for Mothers Day Brunch. I wish I had better things to say but it is what it is. First, we had reservations and had to wait a long while. It appears that there were only two waitresses on for the day and nobody cleaning tables. Most of the tables had used plates on them that had not been cleared floors needed swept and bathroom was filty. We ordered and the one bright spot was the drinks and food came fairly quickly; that is where is ends quickly. My mom ordered eggs Benedict, my sister ordered the poke bowl and I ordered the ramen with smoked pork belly. The eggs Benedict was bland tables had no salt or pepper on them. My ramen soup was lukewarm at best. The pork belly was awesome but the broth was awful and had a funny smell. The noodles were rubbery and not edible. The only meal that appeared to be decent was the poke bowl. There was no chance of getting salt as there was no waitress to check on us. I did get a tea refill but that was because we had to flag her down. I will not be back, I would like to say that I would try it again but once bitten twice shy. read more

A modern restaurant feel; that has a number of cozy enclosed booths that make for a comfortable environment for dining. The items we tried this evening: A. Chicken park pops. The chicken legs are trimmed out for an upscale look. Cooked with a Korean sauce that was pretty darn good. You'll likely find yourself wishing you had a side of this sauce which to drizzle or dip in. Putter texture had a touch a crisp. A great item to start off with. B. Spinach salad was also a great salad. Has a somewhat tart pop of balsamic; with a touch of sweet. Sun dried tomatoes, pecans and a boiled egg. Another good elevated spin on a typical spinach salad. C. Bulgogi philly. Thai sandwich was ok....maybe even good. But it is overall a fairly dry sandwich. The slight heat of the sauce/shmear on the sandwich was good. But enough on the sandwich to help with the fairly dry texture. D. Pork belly ramen. The pork was some pre-fab/pre-smoked piece of pork belly. It wasn't too bad....but nothing like a (nicely done) piece of pork belly being in the dish. Ramen itself was some pre-packaged ramen - that will have a chew texture similar to Maruchan ramen packs you buy in the store. How the bowl presents at the table, is better then the actual experience of eating the dish. If you're a ramen aficionado; don't order. I hesitated to write this review because this place is newer, but I'd want to know the real deal before I went. We had a group of six people with us and tldr no one liked their food. I had the pesto pasta and ended up not eating it. Two people had the other pasta dish that was more Alfredo like and it just had no flavor. The person with the pho bowl said it was just alright, maybe the best thing from the group. Others had the shrimp and also didn't like it. The Brussels sprouts came out so burnt the waitress asked if they were too overdone. Positives: the waitress was very friendly and patient as our group was chatty and having a hard time deciding. The spinach artichoke dip with the wonton chips was actually very delicious. Super greasy but a good couple of bites. I'm sad to say with six people just really not liking their food I won't be back. Several also had upset stomachs in the evening after dinner. I hope others have a better experience, but unfortunately for us this is a no. Very happy to see this place in Columbia! The menu is very modern with a great deal of Korean influence from the owner's global travels. Decor is very modern with an aesthetic that is very clean and symmetrical. Some co-workers and myself went for a lunch visit during the first week that Park was in general operations. We ordered a la cart mostly from the small plates menu. The Park Pops, signature Korean glazed chicken lollipop, were fantastic and lived up to the hype. The double battered fries were also a stand out dish. A surprise dish that blew us away were the brussel sprouts! They were buttery and cooked perfectly. The buffalo chicken wrap was a tasty dish. The only dish the was, quite honestly, underwhelming is the pork belly sliders. The pork itself lacked flavor, was sliced too thin and wasn't even crispy; good concept poorly executed. For dessert we had the house made sugar cookies. They were just okay. There are other desserts I would be more excited to try. The waitstaff was exceptional and very attentive. The general manager even came over to chat with us and even showed us around the restaurant and kitchen. The owner was actually at the table adjacent to my party but never came to check on us which I thought was odd during the inaugural week. Overall good experience. Took my Mom here for her birthday and it was really good. The wait staff is super friendly and helpful. Mom had a Chardonnay and I had the cranberry margarita which were super tasty. Mom got the Philly & she enjoyed it. I got the Bacon Burger and it was delicious. The burger was buttery soft & not a hockey puck. It was made according to my specifications. We had the shrimp tempura and it was great as well. I would give a recommendation to give an even number of apps though. 6 instead of 5. Or even 4 instead of 5.
