The Deuce is my favorite bar in Columbia! I love how the staff treats everyone like family, and they're extremely attentive. The patio is ginormous, and is a great Summer drinking spot. During the colder months, Deuce is the perfect football-watching pub, as there are plenty of TVs lining the walls. Sand volleyball is also a huge part of the Deuce, and I would recommend playing in a league to anyone! If you aren't into volleyball, there is shuffleboard and darts inside, and cornhole outside! Another aspect that really makes Deuce my favorite is their large food menu! The kitchen is open late, which makes it a great spot for any late night cravings. My go-tos are the pizzas, burgers, and wings! I like to wash this down with an Angry Orchard or a Mango Cart, but there are plenty of other draft beers to pick from. I would highly recommend the Deuce Pub & Pit to anyone! read more

Busy atmosphere, and generally more expensive when it comes to liquor. However, service is always top notch and friendly. Food is delicious and fresh. You're always taken care of at this bar. They also do volleyball during the summer! read more

Lazy bartenders here. I'm guessing they're not hired based on work ethic. Sat at the bar for five minutes without so much as an acknowledgment. Meanwhile, five girls are standing behind the bar playing on their phones or socializing. This is my second such experience here. Won't be a third. read more

Do not go here. I waited more than 10 minutes at the bar while six staff members stood behind it on their phones, despite plenty of open seats. I was never acknowledged or offered a drink, so I left. I won't be returning. read more

Deuce Pub & Pit - Bar area with social distancing - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Columbia, Missouri

Well this place was quite a surprise! After realizing Southside was closed for private party we decided to try a new place. Didn't have much expectations on the food and was pleasantly surprised with my order. I got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. It was hot, spicy, crunchy and saucy. The fries were also amazing! Def a bar that I'm coming back to. read more

Deuce Pub & Pit - Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich 10/10 - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Columbia, Missouri

Couldn't even tell you if the food is good because it either takes way too long to get to the table or it is the complete wrong thing. I've been here 3 times and every single time, mine or my friend's order is wrong. Seems to be more than enough employees and it's never completely crowded whenever I go. Usually just college kids there, but that makes since given it is a college town. Music and look of the place is great though. read more

Food is average, service okay. We got our appetizers the same time as our main course (a pet peeve of mine). It took quite a while for our food to come out, and unfortunately it was incorrect as well. You could tell our waitress cared and seemed a bit overwhelmed. The place was busy and as a former restaurant employee I get it- however it could've been better. It was difficult to determine who was an employee as they all wore what I would consider "going out clothes" and nothing to really identify them as working there. read more

Great place for a quick lunch or a party with your friends. The food is fantastic my favorite is the Buffalo chicken dip. The service is great everyone makes you feel right at home. Also one of the cleaner bars that I've been to. I also love the selection of sports in the tvs! read more

My friends and I love the deuce. They have a huge outdoor patio that is great to enjoy on slow sunny days. On later weekend nights they turn on fun lights inside that create an exciting and stimulating atmosphere. The Deuce also has a great menu with food selections that suit everyone's tastes. The staff is fun and very friendly, and is quick to accommodate any needs. read more

Dirty grease Over Cooked Fries tried to play with my intelligence thinking I was drunk This was my third time coming here and never have a problem with the service until I came to watch the chiefs game. I ordered some over priced fries which was sold to me as a shareable size but it's the equivalent of the amount of fries u get from loaded fries from wendys. Also they ran out of mayo. Which hey happens but u take personal if the whole experience becomes a headache. When I got the fries they seemed dark but because they were seasoned I assumed they were cajun. I was wrong. Not only were they burnt but they didn't even taste like fries because they were burnt and all the actual starch had been fried into what felt like eating cheetos. As someone who works in the food industry I know this is because the temperature of the grease was too high and from how they tasted over used. A basket of grease is what I paid $8. Normally I would have just had them remade but like I said if the grease is so hot it's burning the fries and it's been over used the next batch would come out the same. So I asked if they could take them off the ticket. The waitress who I assumed thought I was drunk even tho I hadn't had one drink brought me the ticket twice saying they were taken off. And they weren't when I asked why she said because I ordered them. Yes I ordered them but I returned the entire basket of fries. Nit half eaten like one would assume. In general that also just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, not the over priced over cooked fries it was the lying and in general bad policy for poorly made food. Assuming if i was a drink 23 year old in would have either had a greasy morning in the bathroom the next day or just would have moved on but im not and it would have been wise to take the $8 as a tip for being empathetic of the customer compared to having a customer leave hungry and having paid for nasty food. 7/10 overall. Nachos were good, had to get a side of queso, sour cream and salsa. They don't have guacamole. Mozz sticks were good. Sauce was meaty. I got the yardbird salad (not pictured) it was mediocre, but can't expect a sports bar to have good salads! read more

This place is fantastic. Today was our first time eating here and we will most definitely be back. Mia was an amazing waitress who took care of us from the moment we walked in the door. She was very friendly, on top of our drinks, and knowledgeable about the menu. They have a nice draft selection with a few of the local breweries. I was super excited that they had Mammoot. We got the fried pickles, the Cowboy Burger, and wings. EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC and we can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Oh, my kids said "Mommy, their chicken is better than McDonalds" so that's a win in our book. Haha. Great atmosphere, clean, not super loud, and has a huge back patio to enjoy in the summer We can not wait to come back read more

Tried it again still a 1. Double Titos for $8.50 is a joke. Can someone train these people, please. Go to Taphouse!

Good food! Some of the weakest fucking doubles I have ever had in my life! Don't come here to drink.

Awesome place and staff! Ver friendly and food was awesome! Elsie in the kitchen knows what she is doing! Will definitely be back!

I went here after the Luke Combs concert two weeks ago and I was reminded how much I loved this place, so I figured I would write a review. It's an awesome south side CoMo bar. Great drink specials, and they have everything you could want from a beer variety. Craft beer to something as simple as a Busch Light bottle. Food is typical bar food, so don't expect CC Broiler's, but if you wanna munch on some pizza, wings, burgers or fried cheese curds, it's perfect. I like Taphouse's food too, but Deuce has a wider variety and less fried stuff for those trying to trim the wasteline like me. The patio is perfect in the summer time - lots of outdoor games that make it a place you can go have fun, rather than just sit and drink. The touchtunes is a nice addition too. Love that it's not a college crowd, despite being in a college town - a little more young professional vibe. The volleyball leagues in the back are always a great way for people who are starting jobs in CoMo to meet new people. Service is always great. Their GM Jason is always friendly and willing to offer up his opinions on their top-notch bourbon selection. He never steers me wrong. Great place to watch games too! So many TVs and cheap beer. read more

The draw of the Deuce (for me) has more to do with its activities than the food, service or drinks. We mainly visit The Deuce for its sand volleyball leagues in the spring/summer/fall. We really enjoy playing sand volleyball there, and the patio is a wonderful place to hang out before and after games. They also host weekend volleyball, cornhole (bags) and washers tournaments. Because their patio is so large, it really makes a great location for these types of events. They usually have decent beer specials, too. And the outdoor TVs are clutch for watching baseball or football games while enjoying nice weather. The food is typical bar food, not great but not bad. The burger is the best things I've had on the menu. Drink prices are average when there aren't any specials, and the specials range from beer to shots to margs. The service is really hit or miss, and usually takes a little longer than other places. However, the waitresses are usually juggling quite a few tables, so it is understandable. All in all, a great patio and a good place to go for their special events or to catch a game on TV. read more

Great pub. However, it's more than that. Outdoor seating (you'd never guess by looking at the front) sand volleyball courts!! A great beer selection and above average bar food. Throw in really good service and the ability to watch a Chicago Cubs game and you have a perfect night. read more

Not worth it. We were out with my brother and sister in law and we decided to check this place out since it was down the street from their apartment. This was a total disaster of a place. The food was terrible, the service was terrible, the drinks were terrible, and there were people smoking weed in the back patio area. I'm not a huge fan of places that just let people do drugs in their patio area and not even say anything, let alone call the cops. The game area is Cool but there were a bunch of douchebags hanging all around and being rude. If it were a decent crowd this probably would have been a fun place, but the drinks and the food still sucked. I wouldn't give it another try if you paid me. read more

Came to have a drink. I was at the bar and order a cranberry and vodka. I watch the waitress make my drink and she filled my cup up with ice and cranberry and NO vodka. Came for lunch. Service was very friendly and attentive. Food was good. Sweet potatoe fries seem to be cut fresh, which is nice, but I don't think they fried them hot enough or long enough so that they are fully cooked. Still OK to eat though. read more

Best place to grab a beer and watch the game. Great outdoor patio with bags and sand volleyball!

People are right when they say the atmosphere is relaxed. Very relaxed. Almost as if the staff would rather be anywhere but at work. Very slow service. The pizza is good, when they make you the one you ordered. The wait staff is okay, when they decide to come back to the table. However, you can ask them what the happy hour special are and they never know nor do they know the difference between bottles and draughts. The bartenders don't even know the happy hour specials either and you have to remind them of the prices. When you get your bill, they don't bring you an itemized copy, so always ask for one because they NEVER charge you correctly. (Almost a $15 dollar difference in price last time which they did acknowledge and change for me.) To be honest, the only reason I go there is because a friend of mine won a free league of volleyball games and once that's over, I'll stick to my regular, non "catered-to-undergrad" bars. read more

This place is not good. Dirty, bad service. Waited 20+min for a few drinks. Waitresses were bawling for some reason. I even tried it a second time to see if it was just a timing thing....it wasn't. Will not go back and wouldn't recommend. read more

Deuce pub & pit is my favorite place to hangout with friends. I discovered it during my junior year at mizzou. I will argue that it is the best bar food in Columbia. We came for the drink specials ($4 jumbo margaritas), and we never wanted to leave! We sat at the bar, a guy our age actually visited with us in a friendly way without hitting on us for about 15 minutes, then we (well, my friend) discovered the back patio and the sand volleyball courts. The music was fantastic, the margaritas were great (though I'd take a little more "jumbo" in my jumbo, and some salt on the rim, but I'm picky), and even the restrooms were clean. No one seemed overly drunk or sleazy. Everyone was just enjoying themselves. We didn't order food this time, but we'll be back! read more

Perfect spot for multiple occasions!! Tons of TVs with all the games and you can request something if it's not already on. The patio is the best in Columbia and showcases year round volleyball tournaments. Later on weekend nights they'll turn off all the TVs and enjoy some good dance music. The staff is super friendly and helpful and not bad on the eye either. Overall, great place to grab some drinks as a young professional without the crowd and shenanigans associated with a college bar! read more
