The Deuce is my favorite bar in Columbia! I love how the staff treats everyone like family, and they're extremely attentive. The patio is ginormous, and is a great Summer drinking spot. During the colder months, Deuce is the perfect football-watching pub, as there are plenty of TVs lining the walls. Sand volleyball is also a huge part of the Deuce, and I would recommend playing in a league to anyone! If you aren't into volleyball, there is shuffleboard and darts inside, and cornhole outside! Another aspect that really makes Deuce my favorite is their large food menu! The kitchen is open late, which makes it a great spot for any late night cravings. My go-tos are the pizzas, burgers, and wings! I like to wash this down with an Angry Orchard or a Mango Cart, but there are plenty of other draft beers to pick from. Dirty grease Over Cooked Fries tried to play with my intelligence thinking I was drunk This was my third time coming here and never have a problem with the service until I came to watch the chiefs game. I ordered some over priced fries which was sold to me as a shareable size but it's the equivalent of the amount of fries u get from loaded fries from wendys. Also they ran out of mayo. Which hey happens but u take personal if the whole experience becomes a headache. When I got the fries they seemed dark but because they were seasoned I assumed they were cajun. I was wrong. Not only were they burnt but they didn't even taste like fries because they were burnt and all the actual starch had been fried into what felt like eating cheetos. As someone who works in the food industry I know this is because the temperature of the grease was too high and from how they tasted over used. A basket of grease is what I paid $8. Normally I would have just had them remade but like I said if the grease is so hot it's burning the fries and it's been over used the next batch would come out the same. So I asked if they could take them off the ticket. The waitress who I assumed thought I was drunk even tho I hadn't had one drink brought me the ticket twice saying they were taken off. And they weren't when I asked why she said because I ordered them. Yes I ordered them but I returned the entire basket of fries. Nit half eaten like one would assume. In general that also just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, not the over priced over cooked fries it was the lying and in general bad policy for poorly made food. Assuming if i was a drink 23 year old in would have either had a greasy morning in the bathroom the next day or just would have moved on but im not and it would have been wise to take the $8 as a tip for being empathetic of the customer compared to having a customer leave hungry and having paid for nasty food. This place is fantastic. Today was our first time eating here and we will most definitely be back. Mia was an amazing waitress who took care of us from the moment we walked in the door. She was very friendly, on top of our drinks, and knowledgeable about the menu. They have a nice draft selection with a few of the local breweries. I was super excited that they had Mammoot. We got the fried pickles, the Cowboy Burger, and wings. EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC and we can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. I went here after the Luke Combs concert two weeks ago and I was reminded how much I loved this place, so I figured I would write a review. It's an awesome south side CoMo bar. Great drink specials, and they have everything you could want from a beer variety. Craft beer to something as simple as a Busch Light bottle. Food is typical bar food, so don't expect CC Broiler's, but if you wanna munch on some pizza, wings, burgers or fried cheese curds, it's perfect. I like Taphouse's food too, but Deuce has a wider variety and less fried stuff for those trying to trim the wasteline like me. The patio is perfect in the summer time - lots of outdoor games that make it a place you can go have fun, rather than just sit and drink. The touchtunes is a nice addition too. Love that it's not a college crowd, despite being in a college town - a little more young professional vibe. The volleyball leagues in the back are always a great way for people who are starting jobs in CoMo to meet new people. Service is always great. Their GM Jason is always friendly and willing to offer up his opinions on their top-notch bourbon selection. He never steers me wrong. Great place to watch games too! The draw of the Deuce (for me) has more to do with its activities than the food, service or drinks. We mainly visit The Deuce for its sand volleyball leagues in the spring/summer/fall. We really enjoy playing sand volleyball there, and the patio is a wonderful place to hang out before and after games. They also host weekend volleyball, cornhole (bags) and washers tournaments. Because their patio is so large, it really makes a great location for these types of events. They usually have decent beer specials, too. And the outdoor TVs are clutch for watching baseball or football games while enjoying nice weather. The food is typical bar food, not great but not bad. The burger is the best things I've had on the menu. Drink prices are average when there aren't any specials, and the specials range from beer to shots to margs. The service is really hit or miss, and usually takes a little longer than other places. However, the waitresses are usually juggling quite a few tables, so it is understandable. All in all, a great patio and a good place to go for their special events or to catch a game on TV. read more

Not worth it. We were out with my brother and sister in law and we decided to check this place out since it was down the street from their apartment. This was a total disaster of a place. The food was terrible, the service was terrible, the drinks were terrible, and there were people smoking weed in the back patio area. I'm not a huge fan of places that just let people do drugs in their patio area and not even say anything, let alone call the cops. The game area is Cool but there were a bunch of douchebags hanging all around and being rude. If it were a decent crowd this probably would have been a fun place, but the drinks and the food still sucked. I wouldn't give it another try if you paid me. read more

People are right when they say the atmosphere is relaxed. Very relaxed. Almost as if the staff would rather be anywhere but at work. Very slow service. The pizza is good, when they make you the one you ordered. The wait staff is okay, when they decide to come back to the table. However, you can ask them what the happy hour special are and they never know nor do they know the difference between bottles and draughts. The bartenders don't even know the happy hour specials either and you have to remind them of the prices. When you get your bill, they don't bring you an itemized copy, so always ask for one because they NEVER charge you correctly. (Almost a $15 dollar difference in price last time which they did acknowledge and change for me.) To be honest, the only reason I go there is because a friend of mine won a free league of volleyball games and once that's over, I'll stick to my regular, non "catered-to-undergrad" bars. read more

We came for the drink specials ($4 jumbo margaritas), and we never wanted to leave! We sat at the bar, a guy our age actually visited with us in a friendly way without hitting on us for about 15 minutes, then we (well, my friend) discovered the back patio and the sand volleyball courts. The music was fantastic, the margaritas were great (though I'd take a little more "jumbo" in my jumbo, and some salt on the rim, but I'm picky), and even the restrooms were clean.
