If you ever happen to be there on a Sunday around 5 PM, I pray you know exactly where you're going even if it's your first time there. In the kitchen, there's this big white guy with a beard and cap on his head. I have no idea what his name is, but he is the rudest MFER I have ever met. After paying my tab and having such a great conversation with a guy there and the bartender Sarah was great, I'm walking to try to find the bathroom because I have only entered through the front of the restaurant (I had a dog with me so I had to go to the car, get him, and go to the back patio area) so I had no idea how the restaurant was laid out. . This big white MFER popped out of the kitchen yelling at me asking where am I going and I was mistakenly was edging towards the back of the bar with my dog (The back of the bar is straight forward as soon as you walk in from the back patio and it looks like you can head into the lobby initially) , he goes "where are you going I?!" I say I am looking for the bathroom, because I was, And he says "Well, it's over there! That is the back of the bar where you were going to!!!" And I say "OK, well damn it's my first time here. I have no idea how this place is laid out. " and he just goes back in the kitchen with his lame cook buddies saying that I am drunk, when I only had two beers. I recommend the rest of the staff there, but I have to give 3 stars because I was ready to knock this guy out. I really had to pause in my car and wonder if I was going to go back in there to do whatever to him and teach him never to talk just anybody like that again. I do want to say that the food was amazing, I recommend the wings. The beers are great and the rest of the staff are great, but the cooks in the kitchen suck personality wise. The RUDEST bartenders I have ever met. I would not recommend my worst enemy. Bartenders were drunk falling down on the job. I just had my 22nd birthday with my paper ID from the columbia DMV. The bartender said she couldn't accept it (as she was falling over and had been smoking blunts outside) when it's completely legal to have. McNallys is a fun Irish dive bar/pub in the heart of downtown. When you walk in, you go and seat yourself, we chose the bar! We originally had come in for the HH deal that was posted here online that shows "everyday", but once we walked in we're told the website was about 10 years outdated.. This place has the absolute rudest staff. SO RUDE. It was my friend's 22nd birthday and they wouldn't accept her paper ID that was literally from the Columbia DMV. Her license expired the day of her birthday so she only had her paper one. Out server was very nice but was the only one so it took a while to get greeted and get drinks/ food. That sucked a little but he did give good beer recommendations and once we got food in front of us we were happy. We got the pretzels and cheese as an app and it was honestly just okay. This place is not only disgusting (cleanliness, smell, etc) but I was physically assaulted by the "manager". We were being kicked out for having 11 people at our table when we only had 10. I just so happened to be on FaceTime with a friend when she physically charged at me and tried to grab my phone out of my hand. Even when it was clear I wasn't letting go of it she continued to wrestle on top of me fighting for it. - I had not even exchanged any words with this monster of a women before this occurred. Completely uncalled for. We were paying for our tabs so our waitress would not get screwed over, when the "manager" then physically pushed me out the door. Again, not once did I have a conversation with her and she yet again laid her hands on me. While waiting outside for our Uber's she came out and said we couldn't stand outside . Came here for my buddy's 21st. The place reeked so bad we could smell it from outside. They were short staffed; the bartenders seemed salty. I order a sandwich. 40 minutes later when I got it, they had closed and reopened the kitchen. later I got food poisoning (presumably from this sandwich) and was yacking up my guys. The place smelled so bad, like sewage. We then go to the restroom and a man (employee) came in abruptly telling us to leave accusing us of "throwing up," which was not the case. When I lived in Columbia this was one of my regualr watering holes. The staff cannot be beat. Kenny the bartender is considered by many to be the best in town. They have a so-so selection of beers, but some of the heaviest pours in town when it comes to cocktails. The crowd changes as the night gets later. from local professionals, grad students and professors during happy hour to the full student crowd in the hours before last call. The food is your standard pub grub, nothing too fancy. I recommend the Guiness cheese dip or the cheese sticks, both are good deals and both are delicious. I have had many good times at this place really miss it now that I am out here in California. read more

Although we love the food and the affordable prices, we had an incident that needs to be made public. I tried to reach one of the owners which was impossible, so here we go. We are regulars at this establishment. On January 29, 2023 at approximately between 6 and 7 pm. Myself and my friend ordered dinner. Everything went well, until my friend paid cash for the meal. The meal was approximately 29 dollars and he paid 40 dollars. Austin, who works behind the bar and who was our server, never gave my friend his cash back. He decided to tip himself out of the cash he was given. He didn't have permission from my friend to do that. My friend didn't want anything said about it, so he just wanted to leave. Otherwise, I would have reminded Austin that he didn't give any change back. This is unethical behavior, and frankly I'm surprised bec he always seemed cool with us in the past. McNally's is a laid-back bar and a great place to get drinks in Columbia. They have $1 pints of Coors or Killians on Mondays, which caused my friends and I to rename Mondays "McNally's Mondays" because guess where we would be? They don't charge a cover, they have pool tables, and they have servers who keep the drinks coming if you don't want to get up to wait at the bar. The crowd on some nights can really grow, so if you want a table it's a good idea to get there early. And, like other reviewers have said, bring cash! read more

This is home of the American Outlaws COMO chapter bar! The American Outlaws are a national supporters group for the USA national soccer teams, which is how I learned of this place. I was also able to electronically purchase a chapter scarf from the chapter and pick up here as well, so look them up on Facebook if you want to also buy their scarf (support local!). This establishment is also about a five minute walk from the Broadway hotel where I was staying - very convenient! I went on a Wednesday night when it's apparently $3 pints, $3 wells, and $3 bombs. I LOVE how the bar truly honors ALL pints to be $3! I'm soooo used to Angry Orchard being counted as a specialty "beer" or "import beer." Kudos to the bar! 7:45PM - Sat down 7:49PM - Received menu and Angry Orchard hard cider 7:54PM - Ordered pizza 8:28PM - Juke box music blasted despite St Louis Blues & Dallas Stars Stanley Cup Playoffs (bar's packed with Blues fans) 8:33PM - Pizza received Jay made my night! $12.47 for a pint and 10" supreme pizza?
