So I decided to try the local barbershop because I live in the hilltop area. When I arrived to the shop immediately upon entering the shop I made my presence known to the 3 barbers cutting hair. All three of them were attentive I informed them of my situation and how I was in a bit of a jam and needed my hair cut. Jay (the barber who cuts in the middle) understood stated that the barbershop is usually by appointments but I could hang around and he will do his best to get me in between his clients. As I was waiting to see if I would be seen I enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere and very diverse clientele as well as the cleanliness of the entire shop. The entertainment between TV's, music and barbershop talk was very pleasant completely forgot I did not have an appointment. About 30 or 40 minutes go by Jay signals and says he has time for me. Very relieved that he took the time out to listen to my dilemma and understood how seriously I take my hair cut. I have only had 1 barber for the last 10 years and I was overly pleased with the craftsmanship and personal attention to detail Jay took with my haircut. Although he squeezed me in to see me if felt as if I had an appointment. Overall the entire atmosphere and vibe of this business I would recommend to my friends family and any strangers I know that need a nice barbershop to enjoy on a Saturday afternoon. If I could give 10 stars I would!

His haircuts are always top notch and always on point. If you are gonna walk in you won't be disappointed. Just keep in mind these guys have a lot of appointments for a reason! Great place, great price and great conversations if you need one. I'm more of the sit there and let the dude do his thing and Sean has no problem with that. My son is tender headed and shy, and hates to go in to get his hair done, but now with Mike, that's all changed. Mike greets us warmly when we come in. He's gentle and kind with my son, and always checks in with me as he goes. He's been consistently on time, and incredibly gracious with me the last time we went in and arrived stressed out and late. His line ups are always excellent, as are his cuts. What's shocking is that on top of all that, the place is clean and nice and the prices are *fantastic*. Durell (probably not how you spell his name but it's the brother with the freckles) hooked me up perfectly and we had a good chat. I was observing each barber and they all seemed to know what they were doing. This place has that genuine barbershop feel and the cuts are only $15 which is good. That's how much a cut should be smh these new gentrifying hipster barbershops want to charge $25+ which is just ridiculous. If you're in the area or even close I would definitely recommend you check it out.

Normally, I'd just brush this off as a one-off occurrence but just today it happened again. My barber, Art, has always been good to me and it's sad to say I won't be coming here no more. Today was kind of the three strikes you're out rule. I noticed that during his cuts that he hasn't been as detailed as he used to. I've had a few run ins with getting cut with a straight razor but today I had two cuts from some lack of attention. It's been a couple times this has happened in the past 7 months since I've been attending this place and suffice to say, I've never had that happen elsewhere so it's a bit disappointing to be cut so many times. As for the picture attached, it shows the cuts mentioned above as well as given pointed tips when this time I asked for the sides to be tapered. Ultimately, I think this place could have been the one but it's quality hasn't been the most consistent lately and causing me to reconsider a new barbershop the next time I get a cut

What's challenging for me is not just finding a shop that's able to cut my hair, but one that will treat me with respect because I am likely going to be the only female in there when I go. THIS IS THAT BARBER SHOP! I was greeted upon entering, told it wouldn't be long (I was the second patron in there, the other was finishing up in the chair). Bob asked me what I wanted, clarified before he started, and went to work. He explained what he was doing during the haircut. He made sure I was happy with the cut before I left as well. As the only female in that shop (there were 4-5 guys there) I felt as though my business was desired and respected. I love the job he did, for the price I paid, and the environment is welcoming. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
