Durell (probably not how you spell his name but it's the brother with the freckles) hooked me up perfectly and we had a good chat. I was observing each barber and they all seemed to know what they were doing. This place has that genuine barbershop feel and the cuts are only $15 which is good. That's how much a cut should be smh these new gentrifying hipster barbershops want to charge $25+ which is just ridiculous. Originally I was quite happy with my haircuts here but lately my haircuts haven't been consistent…read morelately and it's starting to show. Unfortunately it will mean that I probably won't be coming back. During my last occurrence, I had requested a 1 faded to a 3. Somehow I got this awkward patch where my hair wasn't cut properly and it was left with something closer to a patchy 6/7 where it should of been faded to a 3. Normally, I'd just brush this off as a one-off occurrence but just today it happened again. My barber, Art, has always been good to me and it's sad to say I won't be coming here no more. Today was kind of the three strikes you're out rule. I noticed that during his cuts that he hasn't been as detailed as he used to. I've had a few run ins with getting cut with a straight razor but today I had two cuts from some lack of attention. It's been a couple times this has happened in the past 7 months since I've been attending this place and suffice to say, I've never had that happen elsewhere so it's a bit disappointing to be cut so many times. As for the picture attached, it shows the cuts mentioned above as well as given pointed tips when this time I asked for the sides to be tapered. Ultimately, I think this place could have been the one but it's quality hasn't been the most consistent lately and causing me to reconsider a new barbershop the next time I get a cut

What's challenging for me is not just finding a shop that's able to cut my hair, but one that will treat me with respect because I am likely going to be the only female in there when I go. THIS IS THAT BARBER SHOP! I was greeted upon entering, told it wouldn't be long (I was the second patron in there, the other was finishing up in the chair). Bob asked me what I wanted, clarified before he started, and went to work. He explained what he was doing during the haircut. He made sure I was happy with the cut before I left as well. As the only female in that shop (there were 4-5 guys there) I felt as though my business was desired and respected. I love the job he did, for the price I paid, and the environment is welcoming. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
