We've been coming here since our 3 sons were around 10 yrs old and now they are in their 20's. Tone is their barber but also a friend. Tone has always given them excellent haircuts, and later on perfectly lining their beard up as well. Sometimes I hung out waiting for their cuts to get done, I always felt comfortable even though its a guys environment. Tone is like family. read more

Magic Juan's Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Richmond, California

This is the only barber shop that has had me be a loyal customer, ever since my first walk in. Great place very clean and good vibe and everyone there knows what they are doing. Sean! is my barber to go to, great customer experience and he allows me to make appointments via text for next day and allows me early appointments slots! His haircuts are always top notch and always on point. If you are gonna walk in you won't be disappointed. Just keep in mind these guys have a lot of appointments for a reason! Great place, great price and great conversations if you need one. I'm more of the sit there and let the dude do his thing and Sean has no problem with that. Go see Sean and Thank you Magic Juan definitely a gem in the Bay Area. read more

My nephews referred to him as Greg the Barber! He did an outstanding job on my grandson. It was a last minute emergency appointment for a trip. He was accommodating, professional and did a great haircut. I can't say thank you enough. I highly recommend him, and will be back. read more

Magic Juan's Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Richmond, California

See all

Took my 2 boys (ages 11 & 8) for their cuts. Booked with Jordan the day before via phone and then confirmed again the day of via text. He is always so pleasant and does a great job on their hair! One son gets a fade and the other a taper with a slight trim. They look and feel great afterward! Of the very few times I've been here, I have never heard any profanity or otherwise offensive language. Jordan even chats with you and your child here and there. I do understand what some of the other reviewers mean when they say they have waited a bit and might have gotten lost in the shuffle; this shop can get quite busy and with so many regulars it sometimes seems they may have forgotten about you. Just don't be afraid to speak up, and if possible, make an appointment and ask your barbar what he/she looks like so that way you can come in and remind him/her directly that you are there for a scheduled service. On this particular day, we came in on a late Wednesday afternoon and the place was not busy at all. So I'd say try to come AFTER the 1st week of the month, and on a game day or something. That way not as many people will be coming in. We will be returning again soon. Great job, Jordan! read more

Magic Juan's barbershop is the closest actual authentic barbershop in the East Richmond heights area. There is no lack of resources for a perfect haircut here. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high standard haircut(crisp fade) to go get it here. read more

$25 low fade with a clean line up, and you get a $5 coupon for your next cut. Can't beat that price anywhere in the bay. The guy did it exactly like the picture I showed him and in 20 minutes max. Other barbers would bring the fade up too high cuz they can't blend (and charge $20 extra), but not this guy. Their barbers know how to cut. read more

I took my 5 year old son there for a haircut. They are definitely the best there. I used to get fades there back in the days and it's good to see the same guys there. The barber was great with my son and was nice to him. I was so happy how my sons hair came out. Good job guys and good prices. read more

Juan is top Notch, shop is solid. Been going here for about 3 years. My boi Tone is my barber, first chair to the left.

Great service, very nice and professional. My barber had the mask on the whole time. He was also very attentive to detail and responsive to my suggestions. Warmly recommended read more

I was pretty excited to try this place out. I came in and waited. And waited. And waited. No one asked me what I wanted. No one even looked at me. After 4 other people who came in after me got haircuts I decided to check the yelp reviews on my phone. After seeing that others have had the same experience i realized I would never receive any service so I left. I think they are great at helping out regulars but if you aren't already a part of their club it seems you get ignored. It's really a pity because I was looking forward to getting a haircut there. I will give them 2 stars just for the environment. But if the place wasn't so nice I would give it zero. :-( read more

Do not go here.....I went to get a simple all even haircut. After waiting for 2 hours I received the worst haircut of my life. Just horrible. It has been over a month and my hairline is still gone. I am very upset and aggravated with the situation. I will never have the same hairline I once had. My new barber cannot even give me an edge up now. I warning you all. save your twenty bucks and go buy some clippers. You could do a better job than these so called barbers. read more

I took my 15 year old son for the first time, So since we had never been there before we decided to sit down and watch each barber to see which one to go to everyone pretty much did a good job on each client. My son decided to let Jordan cut his hair and he did an great job, my son got the kid n play high top fade with the new jack city part in the front and faded on the sides really good job, mind you I'm a woman so I felt comfortable being there no cursing or talking about anything negative that could be heard I felt really at ease they have a flat screen and the game is usually on for entertainment and the place was well kept , pretty decent street parking we went at like 11:00am on a Saturday so next time we will go earlier was a bit crowded but about 1 hour wait time alot of kids came very kid friendly very nice vibe we will be going back again we are a fan :). read more

I come here every now and then to get a hair cut but today was the worst experience i ever had at a barber shop. I was embarrassed by an associate there that i will never make me want to go there ever again. I have a skin condition known as psoriasis and it is currently on my fore head so its very visable. I went today looking to get a hair cut and when it was my turn to go i was getting denied basically because of my condition made her uncomfortable and made a scene thus embarrassing me and making me feel bad about my condition i have no control over. After a while she decides to wash my hair and take me back to her chair after a while she grabbed her clippers and proceeded to cut my hair after 10 mins or so she stop and told me to leave and come back another time cause they were closing and still charged me!!! How do you charge someone for something thats not finished?! As i was leaving i saw through the window that she was making gestures and rubbing her fore head to show her co-workers and basically talking down on me. I want an apology cause ive never been embarrassed like this ever. (i gave her an option to not cut my hair and leave it to another barber btw. I gave her a chance to back out if she didnt feel comfortable) read more

Walked in on Christmas Eve. Both my kids needed a hair cut (8yrs old boy & 2 yrs old) & it was pretty crowded but my husband & I thought it would be worth the wait. When it was finally our turn (after about 30 min of waiting) I let my oldest son go first since I knew it would be over before I knew it! We walked over to the only women that was there (I never aked her name). She actually did a good job! But when it was my youngest son's turn she had the worst attitude ever. Mind you my son is only 2 yrs old. Most kids his age are scared of getting their hair cut. The first thing he did was look at her and said"no,no,no." He really dislikes getting his hair cut! She started laughing and asked me "how do you want his hair cut?" I started to explain to her and as I was explaining to her she says "and you still have the nerve to want a style?". I was appalled. She just kept standing there looking at my son. I know he wasn't being easy to handle but the way she was handeling the situation was just really unprofessional. She really has the worst customer service. I looked at my husband & he said let's just go. I asked her how much I owed her for my oldest son's haircut she said $15. I then asked about the sign outside that says first time customers get hair cuts for $10 on Tues & Wed she then said "oh it's a holiday today." No where on the sign did it say excluding holidays but I just let it go. I gave her a $20 & walked away. This place is really nice they all seem to be really good at what they do for a living but the lady that cut my son's hair made my experience horrifying. Never again will I step a foot in here. read more

Hands down the most consistent service. My son is cut and lined perfectly every 2 weeks.

My son is 6 years old, and as a woman with no experience with barbers, a friend had suggested magic Juan's. I called to the shop before I was going to stop by, the gentleman on the phone was helpful and polite. He said Saturday's, there are plenty of barbers that drop in for clients. We had the fortunate experience of having 'p-styles' cut my sons hair. This is our 3rd appointment in. He always asks what kind of cut, my 6 year old always says something crazy, and he delivers a cool cut that is still catholic school appropriate. This past appointment my son wouldn't sit still. His barber is patient and kind, always speaks softly. Even when my son hears a song over the speakers and starts bopping his head, his barber just chuckles and asks him to be still. This last time, my son kept asking if he was done. I told my son if he kept fussing, I would have to find him a new barber. My son said loudly and unequivocally, NO!! Mommy. I want my barber, and I'm not going to have another barber. Not the old barber. I'm keeping my barber!! So p-styles has a client for life. And we are so grateful. read more

Ask for Caleb. He cuts many types of hair and is really awesome. The shop is in a great location and very clean.

Il be straight forward. The barber was the shadiest dude ever. I presented a coupon for first timers and i was told it was for straight haircut only? I got the worst haircut of my life because of that coupon. Plus, the price is ridiculous... They think the're in the city. Dont even bother going here. read more
