First of all I want to say I have never written a review on Yelp and I'm not a person that complains much, I prefer kindness. I created a Yelp account for the purpose of this review. We walked in to the "OPEN" restaurant asked for a table for 2 which there was more than enough room for (probably 20 open seats), and were immediately told they were closed! Now there were already about 50-70 people eating, but unfortunately, we would have been the only Caucasians in there! Went to a nice place around the corner and were told this place is discriminatory and prefers to cater to Chinese tourists! The picture below was taken after we ate at the other restaurant, and as you can see it not only says "OPEN" (in neon) but the door is actually open as well. The food wasn't bad at all. I ordered sesame chicken, crab rangoon, and spring rolls - make sure to read the menu because most people think rice comes with the food....IT DOESN'T! The menu is split between two languages (English and Chinese I do believe) - you might have to point at the numbers if they don't understand quickly but I wasn't in a rush or anything. Ambiance is like a "forced cowboy sitting" but it was clean. 1 TV available for viewing but no volume. Price is a little higher compared to what I pay but it's in a tourist location so I'm not surprised. Would I come back? Sure if I was in the neighborhood but wouldn't go out my way. I wanted to like this place...I mean c'mon it's got a giant bear above the entrance, that's so cool! Food: - mixed vegetables had way too much sauce that was overpowering and defeated the purpose of getting vegetables. - Stir fried elk was pretty good, still way too much sauce but tender - Noodles were bland, soggy, unappetizing Very unclean. Some leftover onion on the table. Bathroom is gross, I don't even want to think about the kitchen. Service was nice and pleasant though. Fast. It wasn't too bad, we are definitely coming back again to try out other foods. Our server was amazing & even helped me decide what entrees i should get. A little bit pricey, but big portion sizes (LOVE LOVE!). We went around 1pm & it was nice & quiet, pretty sure we were the loud ones. lol. It's worth it. my partner got the 'shrimp in ceramic bowl' , lemme tell you, the broth was DELICIOUS. the shrimp, noodles, he ate it all. i got the 'Lo Mein chicken, with rice, egg drop soup, & veggie egg rolls'. The egg drop soup was also delicious, not too thick, very light. (I was really sick beforehand, but this eased my tummy) Lo Mein chicken, gosh i love bean sprouts & this was my favorite item from the meal. Wow this place was awful. I'm So disappointed I even read the reviews and thought it couldn't be that bad..if I had a Time Machine and had only one use I would use it to go back in time and NOT eat here! It's that bad. For starters the water was so gross the Low mein tastes like tap water no flavor and the hot sauce looked dried out and so old. Finished a long day in Yellowstone, and this place was the closest to the exit. Ordered the eggplant dish, beef and broccoli dish, sesame chicken, and pork lomein (noodles). These dishes were served with a side of white rice or fried rice, our choice. They are presented in a traditional Asian manner where each dish can be shared by everyone at the table. Eggplant was cooked properly. The eggplant was tender and soft. The flavor was on point. Beef and Broccoli though was off. The broccoli was undercooked and still crunchy. The beef was not tender and had that dry texture due to not marinating the beef with a little bit of corn starch. This also resulted in a watery sauce. Sesame Chicken was very fast food Chinese ... half batter, half chicken. Pork lomein had very little pork pieces and a lot of garlic. It relies too much on the sauce that it is cooked in for flavor. (See the attached pictures) Service was good. Price was on the high side for what you get. There is a sign explaining that the prices are due to the seasonal nature of the area, which I didn't quite get. The outside sign says this is a Chinese and American food, but there is no American food on the menu (Burgers, steaks, etc) Is it because they serve bison dishes for $$$ ? What you are getting is Chinese food that is slightly a step above Chinese fast food at a sit down restaurant prices. For the Chinese reading this, this place is ma ma deh. Was going to give this place 2-Stars, but took one off for kitchen cleanliness. (see attached picture) Yes, I have eaten at numerous street food stands in Asia where rodents and vermin run under the table while you eat from dishes and utensils that were "cleaned" in hot water from the previous customers. This restaurant was delicious! Most dishes seem to be family style, so the portions are large. The food is not unreasonably priced for the area. The service was top notch- our wait staff were very attentive. Additionally, you can get very authentic Chinese dishes or Americanized foodie General Tsos, both of which they do well. My 12 year-old daughter, and we parents loved the place. We had their lo mein noodles with vegetables two days in a row, and the second day we got two orders. Maybe it's not high cuisine, but it's finger licking good for us Californians. The space is beautiful in rustic style. They accommodated us with our Service dog in charming wooden nuke, which felt just like home A nice man who I assume is the owner was very kind to us. He served us free potstickers when we came there the second day. My daughter says, the food was amazing! I agree. If we ever come to Yellowstone again, we are definitely coming here to eat. read more

Definitely a 2-2.5 rating. Pot stickers were just ok but very greasy. I had Sweet and sour shrimp, Shrimp was greasy, heavily breaded and mediocre, veggies were raw and very few, the sauce was served in a bowl, not on the shrimp. We were on a Trafalgar tour of five National Parks and we stayed at the Grey Wolf Hotel across street from Park One when we visited Yellowstone. I was very happy to see a Chinese restaurant within walking distance. The stir fry elk was really good! Staff was very friendly and the restaurant was pretty spacious. read more

Among other dishes, we also ordered the sweet-and-sour chicken and sweet-and-sour shrimp, both "breaded". First of all, to call it "breaded" would be far too kind. The coating they put on these items was hard and slick. We had a party of four and no one in our party enjoyed it and that part of our meal was left over and taken home in a box. we decided we would pull out the meat from the "bread" and cook that up in another rice dish at home. Once we did that, we discovered that the volume of shrimp and chicken were about 1/5 the volume of the "bread". Making matters worse, the shrimp was "breaded" with tails on! We didn't know that until we bit into it. We felt we were scammed. On a better note, the shrimp fried rice was fairly good as was the sesame chicken, although overcooked. And on the brightest note, they were the best potstickers we have ever eaten. And the service was excellent. Bottom line is none of the four of us would ever eat there again. read more

This restaurant is located not far from the west entrance of yellow stone national park. There are lots of selections from the menu including American hamburgers as well. The taste is average but The service is fast and friendly. Consider this is a tourist town, the price is reasonable. If you like noodle., I definitely recommend, beef noodle soup. The beef is tender and the portions is very generous. If you craving for Chinese food, this is a good place to eat. read more

Really should have taken a look at the reviews here before going, but since someone in our tour group went the day before, we took his word for it. Big mistake. Yes, since this is a Chinese restaurant in a touristy area where there aren't that many Asians to begin with, I can see why the costs are so much higher for pretty mediocre food. But that wasn't the main issue. If you eat here, know that you WILL GET SCAMMED and given poor customer service and treatment. Yes, we came with a large party of around 11 people, but instead of welcoming us warmly, a worker rudely yelled at us to go sit at a table instead of leading us there and instead of giving us one of the bigger round tables that could accommodate more people, they said it was "reserved" when obviously hours later no one took that table and there was barely any other customers either. All of us ordered the braised beef noodle soup since it was recommended to us. Overall the dish was alright. Soup was okay, but the noodles were soggy and lacked any real texture and ALL the beef chunks were just super fatty, barely any meat at all. I'm not a huge fan of chewy fatty meat, so this was, unfortunately, largely untouched by me and was just a big waste in general. Here is the BIGGEST issue. We had 11 people, they gave us 12 beef noodles. We CORRECTED THEM, they CHARGED US for 12. In an attempt to explain to them, they COMPLETELY DENIED US AND CALLED US LIARS. The workers were completely aggressive, REFUSED TO EVEN GIVE US ANY TIME TO EXPLAIN, kept interrupting and cutting us off and I felt like we were in an alleyway argument instead of eating at a restaurant. Not only did they do that, but they apparently RAISED the prices of the braised beef noodles from around $16 to $18 despite it being $16 on the menu and $16 yesterday when someone in our tour group already went. Imagine being called a liar when you yourself are BEING LIED TO. They said that the prices were raised 2 months ago when that was NOT the case on the menu nor based on the day before. What an absolutely greedy, conniving business! No shame whatsoever! I understand with large parties that gratuity must be charged, but I have never seen it go above 18% yet despite being treated like absolute garbage, they had the audacity to charge us 20% AND demand a regular tip on top of that! The absolute audacity. Additionally, not something that was mentioned on the menu, so they can arbitrarily just decide when to tack this on and at what rate. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS !! BEWARE!! SCAMMERS!! I was going to place an online order because the restaurant is close to my work, I had input all my selections and got to the very end to find out they didn't open for another 15 minutes so it would not allow me to place the order yet so I called it in instead. Online my total was $16.30 but I was charged $30.94 when I picked up my food. When I asked about why it was almost double the price I was told the Manager was going to call his boss to see if refund could be issued. I showed the Manager the screenshot of my online order and everything. I was then told no refund because they don't even offer online ordering. WHEN I HAD JUST SHOWED THE MANAGER THAT IT WAS AN OPTION ONLINE. I then pulled the restaurant back up to show him AGAIN and it was no longer an option. Literally within maybe 5 minutes I showed him it was an option then he turned around and acted like I never showed him that and asked me to show him again. Worst Chinese food I've ever had, and the only item my friend and I ordered were spring rolls. They were hard, looked like taquitos, and I don't know what was in them but the filling looked like paste. When I bit into one, I got a mouth full of grease. Welp. What other reviews said about this venue scamming it's customers is correct! :( I seriously regret not checking the reviews first before dining here! PSA: Please make sure to carefully check your receipt BEFORE you pay!!! They up-priced the cost of items we ordered... And also added a 15% tip to the total without consent. If you plan to tip 15% anyway, then be careful not to double tip. Or just don't come here at all if you don't want to deal with the mischarging nonsense. When we first entered, the staff seated us at a center table directly under the harsh sunlight. We asked to sit at the tall table behind us, but the girl objected saying that the table wasn't convenient for food. Um. I'm pretty sure you can still put food on that table just fine. Another staff person finally let us move to sit towards the back of the restaurant in the booth seating. While we were waiting for our food to show up, one of the servers walked up to our table and just stared grimly at us before walking away and greeting a table of tour group members. Not very welcoming or friendly at all :( Not great for them to exhibit preferential treatment either. The quality of food here isn't good enough to merit the high prices imo. Sautéed veggies came bathed in a thick cornstarch heavy goop. Pork with bean curd tofu was ok, but heavy on tofu. Our chicken mushroom dish also didn't have as much meat as I'd hoped. Nothing flavorful or tasty. No bang for your buck here if you're a ravenous meat eater. Might be good if you're looking to bulk up on tofu and accessory vegetables though! Upon receiving our bill, LO AND BEHOLD, we found that they marked up item prices (higher than what the menu said) and helped themselves to a 15% tip wrapped up in the total bill amount. When we brought up the issues at the register, it was a loud exchange of the staff denying that they intentionally changed the pricing and boldly stating that pre-including tip was the American norm. Gurl please. Don't try to trick people you think might potentially be foreigners. Don't try to cheat people at all! Customers will tip you the amount they think you deserve based on the experience provided. Well. After they realized that that they were caught red-handed by actual Americans who know how tipping works (after a lot more denial attempts on their side), they corrected the bill pricing, but went ahead with swiping our payment card without removing the tip. And guess what. The lady was gutsy to state that "oh she already swiped the card so she couldn't return the involuntary tip". It wasn't until we stated we wouldn't sign and would dispute the card transaction that she said she would return the amount by cash. Even so, we're going to be checking that credit card transaction to make sure they don't go adding more behind our back. I wouldn't be surprised if this place tried. I highly recommend checking your bill, receipt, and credit card statement if you are brave enough to dine here. My goodness. What a day. The good: Their Mapo Tofu was good and had a good flavor and, they added pork to it per my request. My girlfriend had salt and pepper shrimp which she said was good and included 12 shrimp. The bad: I also ordered lemon chicken. It came out so over cooked that it was like chicken jerky. The worst: WATCH YOU RECEIPT!!! They snuck a tip onto our credit card without our authorization. There was only the 2 of us so they can't claim the auto 18% for large parties. Also, the tip is usually offered by the customer on the receipt they sign, not before. When I challenged them, they said their machine does it automatically. Sounds like fraud to me. How many people get scammed like this by not checking the receipt? This is a resort town, there are many foreign tourists that might not catch it or, know it's wrong since most other countries don't tip (probably why they do it). They did refund the tip charged but it's still wrong and it cost them us actually leaving a tip. I did report the potential fraud the the police department for them to follow up. I'll update this review if I hear anything back from them. Good food or not, there's no way I can give a good star rating. To quote the cliche... Despite the horrid reviews, we went here anyway for convenience, because we were at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center next door. It was early around 5:00 pm, so there was no one in the restaurant. Quite frankly, our experience was a positive one. I'm not sure why many of the reviews are so negative. We ordered 3 entrees and hot and sour soup and everything was good. They altered the spiciness level, as requested, on one of the entrees. Our servers, although didn't communicate much, were efficient and friendly. It took us a bit of time to flag them down to get our check, but our order was taken swiftly and our food came out quickly. A large Chinese tour group did come in while we were waiting for our food, so we were lucky to have placed our order before them. read more

Wish I had read reviews before going here. THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF! Wanted an order to-go, they said they don't do take out orders. Wtf? 2 of 3 dishes were extremely salty. Food is grossly overpriced! Our bill seemed higher than expected & after reading previous reviews, I know now they tacked a 15% tip onto our bill without any notification or posted that information. Made special request to entrees, those were ignored. Could have been the language barrier. Place reeked of a strong cleaning agent or air freshener. It was over-powering & unpleasant. Would highly recommend NOT eating here. We went to Red Lotus the day before- it was way better food & way better service. Great location in between the imax and Grizzly enclosure also across the street from the big hotels. It's the only Chinese restaurant I've seen with a big taxidermy Grizzly inside. It's the best Chinese food in town and pretty reasonably priced. If you want Chinese this is your place. read more

I was skeptical based on reviews, I was happy with the take out dishes until I got to the bottom of General Tso chicken container and found broccoli filler at the bottom. The restaurant was empty and they had several hours to closing. I was disappointed that they did that instead of fill the container as the prices are not cheap. read more
